BlackBerry® Smartphones BB Curve 9320 E-mail help - urgent enough.

Hello. New to this forum, so hope this is the right place.

This device has ceased to receive emails. I checked the settings on the phone and everything seemed fine, so I deleted the e-mail from the device account in the hope that I might add again.

When I tried to add one more time I get the error message "bad email or password". I know that the e-mail address and the password are correct I can log online to the email account and also to receive emails on windows live mail.

the e-mail account was also accosiated with BIS. I could connect to the BIS site without problem.

I decided to completely remove the email from my ISP account and create a new. I always get the same error message - even though ive accosiated the new sound e-mail account BIS.

I've updated the software of devices to a package latest version 7.1.0 2039, then tried to add e-mail once again, without success. Same error message.

I spent 3 hours yesterday talking to my mobile service provider's technical support team and they did everything they could, but to no avail.

This unit has been reset twice using cloth of security which did not help in the factory. Ive a service books went, gave to my mobile operator the number out of the SIM card to send new settings, but that didn't help.

I am at a loss at this problem and im quite technical, but it baffled me and team mobile tech.

Help is very appreciated. I'm ready to wipe the device again. It is not a problem. Unfortunately ive not back up to restore the phone back to how it was before I updated the phone software, so help in the decommissioning of the software can help.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT:

Ive tried just using the following link, but still no luck.

Hi and thanks for the answer.

Unfortunately the link you provided did not help to address the issue - but thanks to my perseverance and a wave of quick brain I seem to have resolved this issue.

BT e-mail requires that you add the pop and smtp as: mail.btinternet.com for both.

After several hours of talking with my phone operator mobile technical support (which did not help), my provider and even on the Blackberry phone (who also could not help), I decided, as a last resort the attempt and some common technical know-how of knowledge - I've added the address of the pop server as pop3.btinternet.com. In fact, it worked and email can now and has been implemented on the device.

so, for anyone experiencing problems with email Adding BT to BB email addresses, try pop3.btinternet.com instead of mail.btinternet.com

Thank you!

Hello and welcome to the community!

To use the exclusive services of BB (including the ability to Push email, BBM, etc), you must have an adequate data of your carrier plan. Carriers BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) host for their BB users. In general, BIS is not available through generic data plans. Several ships make stop what is needed the Blackberry data plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier that delivers BIS users of BB- contact them for assistance. Once you have an email Push-enabled compatible BIS data plan on your BB (fees regardless of your carrier will charge, btw), your exclusive services BB will work (for example, you will have personal/Internet Email added to the email Setup Wizard, your BBM will work, etc.).

With hundreds of carriers in the world, each with dozens of different data plans it is impossible to say that any plan service could actually expressly provide for. Only carriers can answer this question. The best thing to do is to decide what services you want and then talk to your carrier about obtaining a data plan that allows what you want (to them).

  • Problems of blackBerry Smartphones while creating an e-mail account

    Hej,

in late July, I bought a BB Curve 9320. Until today, I wasn't able to create an e-mail account. A smartphone without access to e-mail. The problem is missing to create an internet e-mail account. I'm only able to set information for a business account, which I did not. In recent weeks I spent hours and hours reading manuals/blogs and watching youtube videos. I also asked my phone provider if they put in limits for internet e-mail accounts. Nothing of the sort.

I guess that the problem may be caused by our bb playbook. It works well enough. The playbook is running to a live windows account for email, contacts, and dates. When I started the 9320, I first used the same bb id that we use on the playbook.

Please help me, I'm totally frustrated. What can I do?

    Sincere best wishes from Hamburg

    Note:

Some wireless service providers and third-party equipment manufacturers have processes called master reset, factory resetor master clear, which erases all the data and parameters for devices user non-BlackBerry carriers, restoring their to a 'factory' or 'out of box' State. The clear Pocket command performs this function even on a BlackBerry smartphone:

Maybe I do it by mistake!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot-~ 5 minutes...
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

N ° of BB devices lack a complete email client on them. Instead, they depend on the BIS service to provide messaging functionality. BIS is active when you have also listed Internet/personal email where you currently see only Enterprise. All services of BIS, are sent to the device via data carrier network... contact them are therefore the right approach to discover why their network is no longer to deliver to you the services that you pay for.

  • E-mail blackBerry Smartphone Accessing account telephone e-mail settings and BBerry

My problem is with my Blackberry Torch 9810 e-mail accounts. I have two accounts and it doesn't seem to work. I tried to access my accounts but now get a login to the screen of Bberry with [Personal Information deleted] ID and ask for password. I never have that in place. When I use the 'forgotten password' button, I get a message that reset instructions were sent to [Personal Information deleted] I have no idea how to do to access this account. Can you help me?

If BB ID is, as you say, new for you, then someone has configured this device with a BBID, and you can or don't want that. BBID is used to help to be sort of a "single sign on" to many things... BIS configuration, BBM, BB Protect email, etc. If you have not created this ID from BB, while you should really do is delete and create a new brand for yourself, that you store the credentials for, as you will need it from time to time (as you do now).

To remove the unit BBID and then create one for you, you must WIPE totally clean unit... This will make the device as it was brand new, so all the data and the applications that you have installed will be gone.

    • KB26694 How to change the BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry smartphone or BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet

Make sure that you have good backup of everything, as you need it - you can find the backup instructions in the auto-sig on this post.

But, if there is a chance that this BB ID is indeed something you created, but simply forgot, then you can try to get back into it. To do this, start first with them please:

    • KB28685 How to reset the BlackBerry ID password by using the password recovery question
    • KB32111 "The link is no longer valid." occurs when you attempt to reset a BlackBerry ID password
    • KB26361 How to change or reset the BlackBerry ID password
    • KB28111 Impossible to reset the BlackBerry ID password when using a hosted BlackBerry email address
    • KB28232 Reset blackBerry ID e-mail are not delivered to the mailbox associated with

If you have forgotten your ID BB credentials AND access non - BB (for example, Outlook, webmail, etc.) for the e-mail account which is currently configured on your account ID from BB, then these instructions should help you regain access to your account ID from BB, even without the issue of recovery or password (Please read them all carefully to find the section you depend on).

However, if you do not have access to this e-mail account, or if you have never successfully validated your BBID account, then your challenge is much larger, and you have a choice to make depending on your situation:

    1. If you have no AppWorld records you need to keep (for example, buy folders for the applications), then simply drop the BB ID and create a new. To do so, however, requires a device WIPE:

      • KB26694 How to change the BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry smartphone or BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet
    2. But, if you do not have AppWorld documents that you need to keep, then you need human intervention. To receive, you must ring to the top of your mobile service provider and convince them to escalate your case up to BlackBerry. In addition, you must convince BlackBerry you with a solution - which probably will be reset your current BB ID so that you can access it again or you will need to create a new BBID and they will manually move your purchase to the wire records. Note that I don't know if they will be willing to do, but there is no other way I know of to keep your prior AppWorld purchase records.

    Good luck!

I just installed Desktop Manager 5.0 for my curve. The installation went well, and after it backs up, the curve works correctly. I wonder, however, if the Desktop Manager saved e-mails, MMS and SMS messages in a file on my desktop that could be retrieved and read later if necessary. I heard this answered both ways so far: Yes it did, and no, it's not. No one knows what is the real answer?

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Well, two answers could be correct according to what you were doing. If you performed the backup, and then he did. If you have not run the backup, then it does not. If you performed the backup, then a file with an extension of the RPI could be saved to your PC - search your entire hard drive for *.ipd and see what you find. If you have installed, your PC, the desktop software and/or a bundle of BONES for your BB, then you apploader. Reference:

But, to start your diagnostic efforts, I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

If there is no Safe Mode, I suggest that you test to see if your battery is causal. Please try this sequence... Note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must be directly connected to a charger checked (not PC USB, not a docking station):

    1. With battery, connect your BB to the wall charger
    2. Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not
    3. Remove the battery
    4. Wait 15 minutes
    5. Insert the battery
    6. Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not

This has been known to "revive" some BBs.

It is also possible that your battery or BB has encountered a problem... to test, this sequence is necessary:

    1. Get a known good and already fully charged battery... use it in your BB and see what happens
    2. Get access to a BB good and the same known... use your battery in there and see what happens

The results of this will show if your BB or your battery that has the problem. Carefully note please that 'new' and 'know' are not necessarily the same things. Although rare, a 'new' battery could certainly be defective. On the contrary, the easiest (and cheapest, btw) method to perform this test is to find someone with an identical BB which has no problem... trade in batteries and see what happens.

Otherwise, then you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

You probably (I suppose) have a third-party application or theme do something.

Try to start the machine up in Mode without failure.

Once started in safe mode, remove/uninstall third-party applications and themes. And then try to restart again normally.

If there is a latent policy, there is only one way to remove it... and while I can't tell exactly what you hear of "hard reboot", this probably isn't the appropriate method. To check, however, see this:
