BlackBerry Smartphones BB ID account activation

After several attempts I couldn't verify my ID Yahoo BB account. My BB Curve 9300 phone has been locked. While maintaining my e-mail address, I changed my password which has been accepted by BB. However, I cannotreceive mails. My internet sever uses BIS. What can I do to activate my new account?

    I have a Blackberry Bold 2 e-mail accounts (personal and business). Recently, I upgraded my Vodafone contract for only part of SIM and was able to keep my old SIM card. My personal email works fine but the business Edition should be re-activated.     I think you need to talk to Vodafone to ensure that your data plan still includes services / BES-level... such is required for full use of BES.

    You should also talk to your BES admins... they, well, all control.

    I had to change my password] yahoo.ca which meant I had to revalidate my password on my blackberry.  However, I can not, I get an error message saying my email or my password is invalid, and if it continues to communicate with yahoo.

    What will make that as my email and the password are correct that I can access my account on my computer but not on my phone and I need because it's a business e-mail address.

    I got a new 8900 I bought 12/31/09 I tried Bluetooth reactive were the Dungeon of legacy ask password to connect to my laptop. I tried up to the last chance, but he wipid all my data and restar again.

    If I understand you correctly, you need to know your credentials of BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) (username / password). This account is controlled by your carrier - you will need to contact for assistance.

    Just bought a new 9720 but cannot get my operational emails. I have a plan through Virgin Mobile and according to their technical service, everything is as it should. Type in my Blackberry ID and password and the handset said contacting server however, that's how. Next message says the Blackberry Enterprise server has not responded to your activation request. An error has occurred.

    What should I do now? Virgin are unable to solve the problem.

    Why is it so difficult for an individual to set up the phone? Can someone help me solve the problem. Thank you

    Go into the Options.  Type "service books" in the search bar.  Delete books cical service for calendar accounts, that you do not want to have on the device.

    and see if you can adjust your email from there.

    If this does not work, verify that you can access gmail on a computer using the same login / password.

    If it works on the computer then Bell will help configuring your e-mail here:

    Also check with Bell that you have the correct blackberry data plan associated with your account.

    BlackBerry has sent a message that he is not able to authenticate e-mail and password for account.  This is the same account, password and email as it has been for the past two years.  TI guy says change to Iphone or Android - less interface problems.

    Followed the instructions to a "T" and it says "invalid email address or password".  Technician COMPUTER confirms the two still the same and I can always access e-mail via mobile phone.  In the server host rolled etc. "just as requested.

    At a loss on how to set up email FYI - yahoo and Google put in place transparent simply not with outlook.  Was no question for the past two years.

    I deleted and restarted several times without success and continued to get the same message. But late last night after continuing to try to add once again, this has worked. I can't explain what happened but it works know.

    I got a Blackberry message asking me to check my email 3 days ago, so that all these problems with Blackberry are produced.  When I go to email account wonder my username and paassword.  BlackBerry does not seem to recognize these one more, so now mymail has completely disappeared from my Blackberry (8900 torch with the last update 6.00 on this).

    I spent over 2 hours trying all sorts of things, including the 3 but thingy, steps I can't do step 2, and yet he asks me my user name and password which he doesn't like!

    Orange has the ability to reset your password and set up your account for you.  If you ever hurt to validate your e-mail address when asked to do so, Orange should be your solution.

    You must register for the BlackBerry data plan in the form of BIS (individual) or BES (company law). This data plan is different from your internet data plan. Without a BlackBerry data plan, you will have access to voice calls and SMS text only.

    This error has nothing to do with your internet settings. On the contrary, it has everything to do with your BIS account to your carrier. You must contact them again and get them to intensify their personal BB support (and maybe different people out there)... they control your BIS account and only they can unlock it.

    Now, my advice would be different except for one thing... you said, he worked on the new carrier for a few days before failing. What is happening is that your BB PIN is locked to your carriers BIS account. When you change carriers, the first carrier to release their BIS ANKLE. Only then can the new carrier account BIS for your PIN in their system. But, since you say it worked for a few days on the new carrier, this does not seem to apply...

    Hi all, I'm new to this bear so please with me. I received a message that I need to re - validate my Hotmail account in the next three days. something it would have been useful to know when I first set up the account 12 months ago!

    However, when I try to use the name and password I am sure is correct (I saved the details on my pc in case I needed it) I get a message telling me that my user name or password is incorrect. I tried to put in the user name and saying "you have forgotten the password" and then get a message saying: "your password was sent successfully to your Blackberry," but nothing happens and I don't receive it.  Also, I got a message telling me that there is a problem with the server? Now, I start to panic a little.

    Can someone suggest a cure for my problem and if the account stops working, I will just be able to set it up again as a new account?

    Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    I lost my old phone blackberry (Curve 8320) and replaced by a new (Bold 9700). I want to put the new phone as the active device for my manager to Desktoip. Whenever I connect the new phone, it is listed as "Device connected" but my old phone still appears as "active Instrument '. When I connect the new phone, it also gives me an option to change to the new company profile. But when I click on 'Yes' it still shows the old phone as 'active Instrument '. How can I reset this setting so that my new phone becomes the active device. I use Desktop Manager version 5.0.1 and I do not wish to move to 6 because I use the Desktop Redirector functionality in version 5.0.1 which is absent from the v6. Thank you.

    So I figured out how to reset (w/o call my IT dept ). In order to reset the current device:

    1. If you use MS Exchange directly: create a new profile through control-> e-mail settings panel.

    2. If downloading emails from exchange server to local folder, and then add a new pst file and make it the default.

    After making the above, restart the Desktop Manager and follow the instructions.
