• BlackBerry Smartphones icons disappeared and the menu won't pull up.

  OK, so I have a 8310.  I left my phone in the car for a few days (maybe something could have been by pressing one of the buttons while he sat there?) and when I picked it up, all my icons had been activated around and nothing was located where it was when I used the latter.  Everything worked fine, just all of the application and the homescreen icons were all scrambled to the top.

  This is the case, a * beep *, I decided to try to move the icons and put them back where they belonged.  I was able to highlite an icon and move it, but when I tried to finish the move sit icon where I wanted, the icon would be to just move with the trackball and has refused to sit in one place and stay there.

  Then I get a call on my phone and everthing is now the country of Wonderland with Alice and the White Rabbit!  All my icons have left the home screen, and I can't pull up the menu screen.  The trackball seems to work very well.  The blackberry icon button (between the button ' to call ' green and the trackball) seems to work (when the screen is black, you can push it and the screen lights up) but when you press it, the menu won't pull up.

  I thought that maybe I hid all the icons somehow?  I'm just confused on this one.  All the information at the top of the screen is still there.  Time, date, signal strength, network and all my message alert icons are visible.  I use the image as background is under the eyes, just all the icons disappeared and I can still shoot to the top of the menu to fix.

  I have electronic mail through Cox Cable of Hampton Roads. Wireless provider is Verizon Wireless. I have a BB Z10 with OS worm. 10.0.9.422. I can receive and send emails without any problem. Emails will disappear from the Hub a short while after opening of Outlook 2007 and download the mails on my PC.

  Is there something I can do to keep my emails on the Z10? I've had this account for 20 years and I'd like to keep. I've had an iPhone since 2007, 4 of them to be exact and had no problem with my POP account. Any help in this matter would be appreciated.

  During the update, something must have been currupted. If you have a backup, then go back to your last backup before the update, and then do the update after your restoration. Do a quick re-start before starting your z10 update. I noticed some people have notifciation area disappeared after the update.  If you do not have a backup, then the only solution is to do a factory restore and it will also collapse the in latest updates the restoration. You will lose your contacts unless you copied it on your sim card (contacts open, wide of the top to the bottom, go to settings, copy of contacts from device to sim card)... or you do the same method that allows you to get your contacts and calendar.   I don't have the technical knowledge - no knowledge at all - so I can't explain why this solution, on the whole, worked:

  I disengaged the cellular network and then deleted the bbm application, then played reset material, re-installed the bbm on the BB site (not via appworld - doesn't like that), then disengaged the network once again, performed a hard reset, recommit to the network and everything returned to normal - the icon of bbm is alive again.

  I've updated BBM from version 7 to 7.0.1. After the reboot, I found that my BBM was gone. I checked my world in Blackberry World, to see that it is installed, but it was gone.
