BlackBerry Smartphones Pasword keeper after 4.5 upgrade

I just did an upgrade to 4.5 on an ATT 8310 curve.  The upgrade was difficult, but after many attempts, it finally loaded.  However, the password keeper application is missing.  I don't like on the data, it will reload, but I can get the application without reloading the entire software. Can't go there again. Any help appreciated.

Of course you can. Open DM > AppLoader and in options advanced, look in the list of apps and VERIFY the application of PK. If it is already done, it is responsible for your BB.

On your BB, look at the Options > Advanced > Applications and you will see list of password Keeper? If Yes, then it is loaded and just in a folder (Applications?) or another or hidden on the screen. Press Menu > show all.

  • BlackBerry smartphones email questions after operating system upgrade (update initially failed)

I'm on the AT & T network.  Updated my OS to 4.5.  Screen showed that all backed up, and then when he started the download, I had a system failure.  Released A card sim and retries.  Updated of the operating system, but all my apps disappeared.  All reinstalled unless the password keeper, task and blackberry email.

The big problem is the email. (although I like a lot the other two applications!)  I can receive email from yahoo and gmail, but cannot send as it says that my phone is not configured.  When I try to go reconfigure, it ask for my pin code and said that an e-mail account is already set up for this phone.  I never use my blackberry account so I have no idea what my username and password are (the info was probably stored in the password lock).  I want to just delete the original blackberry e-mail account and reconfigure.  Help!

I have no more phone support.

I want to just this device to open.

This means that you have your employers device, they have you removed from their network and forced a new password to you. You can call to ask what is the password.

BUT, probably, their intention to reset the password is for you to do a wipe of the device security so that none of the persistent employer email, data, etc., remain on this device.

After clearing security, you end up with essentially a new, fresh, device with no previous, ready to install as a personal device data.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Ringtone problem after the upgrade

    Hi people.

Friend to me has just upgraded its OS "Bold" and during the process, he accidentally pressed the button cancel on the charger. He continued the upgrade again after and everything works perfectly EXCEPT that now the ringtones are all sounded even!  It can find the list of ringtone, but when he played I, it all sounds the same.  Seemed that the ringtone database was damaged for some reason any.

Beside you WIPE the device, is there another way to restore this function in full?

Well, a backup and restore of the database "should" certainly work, but if it isn't, then wipe and restore the operating system on the device should, as indicated.

This theme has the software and the instuctions to do exactly that:

  • BlackBerry 8900 smartphones, email problem after OS 5 upgrade

    Hello

I guess it's the last resort for finding a solution to my problem. I hope I'm not repeating a topic previously started by someone else.

In any case this morning received a notification that there is finally an update to OS 4.6. * lot of 5 BONES 1682. Updated the BB Desktop Manager, supported the phone it is autonomous and has started the upgrade.

Subsequently, I basically ran a main problem, even if all my emails have been restored, it seems, some mailboxes are not visible in the traditional sense of the term, (I took the part of menu "Show all", looked through all the folders, etc.). But they all have is E-mail 2 mailboxes that contain some unsent emails from months back. If I look in the menuish 'messages' thing (home screen, displays all the messages in all mailboxes) emails are all there, Ditto for the '-> options' ' status-> "sizes of database"->"messages".
I know this is a complicated explanation, sorry.

    The most visible example:

I have 5 setting up email on the phone. 2 on gmail, personal accommodation 2 and 1 from blackberry.com

As far as it goes for personal accounts and blackberry, all there is, nothing 'missing', but I can't say the same for the gmail those.

If I choose the menu "filter"-> check the box of "AllMail", then I get to see everything, but only until I leave the screen and everything must be redone.

Even if a new installation of operating system seems to be the only solution perhaps there is something that I have not yet examined. A roll to 4.6 is an option, because there is no significant change.

    Using BB 8900 v5.0.0.1036 (bundle 1682, platform 5.2.0.104)

    Carrier: Vimpelcom (Beeline), Russia

    Official purchase if that matters)

Hope someone could help me, thanks in advance

    Mike

Eh_bien it seems that I have found the problem and resolved, although I can't be sure if cela an acceptable or official, but it works and im fine with it.)

There seems to be confilict with enhanced gmail plugin and OS 5, which results in the change of filter, so basically the best way is to remove the plugin via BBSAK:

Use BBSAK and delete the following three files of COD:

    net_rim_bb_gmail. COD
    net_rim_bb_gmail_resource__en. COD
    net_rim_bb_gmail_help_en. COD

  • Smart phone BlackBerry Smartphones is malfunctioning after the upgrade.

    Hello

I just got my blackberry a few weeks ago, and it worked perfectly until I've downloaded BlackBerry Desktop Manager, plugged in my camera and updated... It works much more slowly. There is a good 5-15 seconds when you try to access the menu of the delays and it will freeze while I'm answering incoming calls. Also I woke up no longer works. There is no sound coming out when it goes off, the volume is set to high, but it still sounds when someone calls me. It worked before the update, and I changed no settings after. Is there a way to roll back the update. I thought that updates were supposed to solve problems and issues, not to create them.

    Thank you C

  • BlackBerry smartphone App Vanished after the upgrade to registered test?

I downloaded an app from last week (iRecordIt for health monitoring). After the trial expires I set up my account paypal with the appworld and bought the full version, after the purchase he made me reboot, so I did, and when I did the first thing I noticed was the app was no longer on my main screen in the top6 section. But this isn't on my phone anywhere, I checked every folder. It can be accessed by going to AppWorld > MyWorld, but shortcut icon / what that either current deletion is really annoying because it is an application frequently used for me.

Any ideas on how to get the application to display correctly? It cannot be copied or moved or whatever it is from MyWorld or settings > applications of the screen, so I don't know what to do.

I just got this blackberry "BOLD", my first blackberry and this is my first real "purchase" of the appstore so it probably has something to do with it lol.

HA! I have a physical batterypull on my phone and the icon of this app is back on my screen of welcome where it belongs, weird, but it worked !

I updated my phone today and now BBM is missing in action. When I go to App World it is installed, but I have no access. Can anyone help?

    • On your 9810, go to options > device > application management.
    • Remove the BBM, in this case.
    • Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.
    • Now, using the BlackBerry browser, go to www.blackberry.com/bbm and download and reinstall.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones VERY disappointed after upgrade to 5.0

My phone won't stop freezing!  I do about 20 battery tire/day and it gets worse.  Verizon has had two wipes, restoration and reinstallation of 5.0 but nothing works.  In addition to all this, I lost ALL my third-party applications.  Yes, I know that I can maybe find all of them and try to get the seller make me reinstall, but what a pain!  I did not buy them throughout the App World...

Their only solution is to send a re-certified phone.  I asked to have to upgrade the operating system and having the same problem, but they don't care.  They are not sent a Storm2, of course.

I can't believe what a nightmare this has been!  I do not hear about this kind of things happening with the iPhone...

Take the replacement phone.  Your clearly has a problem, then take the free replacement.  I got a replacement in March and it has worked very well, so don't be afraid of the thing "renovated".  Once he was out of the flat package, you could not tell the also of a 'new '.  Your replacement should come with 5.0 already load on it... or at least ask to make sure that it doesn't.  I did the upgrade yesterday morning and the new OS is great.  I would gladly put my storm against any iPhone now.  It is smooth, very sensitive and much faster all around.  The camera shutter lag is gone, no waiting during the passage of the apps, memory seems to be stable at about 21MO, not randomly restart.  RIM has done a great job of most persistent problems pricing.  I have only three applications of third party on mine, but the upgrade went smooth as silk... didn't have to do a thing later except reorganize my files the way I had them.  So, again, take the replacement and make a gesture to end your frustration.   Oh, and the iPhone has its share of questions, too.  Go on their community forum... you will see.  Just trying to give you a different perspective and hope.

    See you soon!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones "Tasks" icon after the operating system upgrade

Just upgraded (?) to os 5.0.0.771, 9000 "BOLD" on Telstra in Australia.

This update was offered by an email from RIM.

The 'Task' icon has now disappeared, and I can't sync my tasks with Outlook.

Any ideas how I can get the 'task' back, or if I then try to re - install the update?

    Thanks in advance!

    Thanks, did it, didn't work.

However, the upgrade was kind enough to do a backup, which I restored it, and now all fixed.

    Thank you in advance...

    Cure found... I hope...

I don't have the technical knowledge - no knowledge at all - so I can't explain why this solution, on the whole, worked:

I disengaged the cellular network and then deleted the bbm application, then played reset material, re-installed the bbm on the BB site (not via appworld - doesn't like that), then disengaged the network once again, performed a hard reset, recommit to the network and everything returned to normal - the icon of bbm is alive again.
