BlackBerry Smartphones running two different BB Desktop software?

Probably a silly question but I can?  I have the storm for the work and the curve for personal use, I use both on the same Desktop Manager?

Thanks in advance.

Perfect... Thank you.

  • BlackBerry smartphones install BB user tools/Desktop Software 4.3

Instructions say if I want to use the software of synchronization between the BB and the computer I have to do a custom installation.

When I followed the instructions of the guide book, they are different from the screen. After I click on custom I get a screen that has basically two choices: device or desktop computer, but the statement said I should get a drop-down list and select THIS FUNCTION.

The CD is version 4.3. I can go on the website and choose a different version, but I'm too new with BB to know what to choose.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not install the Desktop software

When I try to install Desktop Manager, the following error message will appear:

Finally found a solution. The cause is, "VeriSign Class 3 Code signing CA" certificate is missing and is not in the link provided by RIM in "Knowledge Base" or the site Web of VeriSign (!)  but thanks to google I found this.

  • How can I run two different versions of Firefox, the last does not work with a site important I need to use?

With the latest version of Firefox, I can't ' fast email ' to my students through the ANGEL of the College System. I had to uninstall and go to an earlier version. I prefer the new rev.

A way to run two different versions. It doesn't have to be simultaneously. Seems to be a problem on the Mac and my XP systems.

    Thank you
    Kim

You can install the portable version of Firefox 3.6.x to access Web sites that don't work with Firefox 5 +.

  • Is it normal to have two different types of software on the CC from Adobe?

When I open the CC from Adobe and download my apps, it shows two different types of software. For example, when I look at a version of Photoshop is CS6 and the other is CC. Can I download both and I was wondering if there is a difference between the two? And is it a problem or a bug?

CS6 is an older version of photoshop.  CC is the latest version.

You will need the data Plan for BlackBerry on two accounts, including the one you want to use "light".

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Mac user of the device software update

How do I update my device software if I don't Winzozz?  Is this the end of my BB?  Am I obligated by an iPoophone?

First of all, iPoophone... I love it!

I'm the take that you are on a Mac, right?  There are two options for installing software of BlackBerry device while on a Mac, the easiest being to use Bootcamp or a similar Virtual Machine that allows you to run Windows on your Mac.  Of course, this requires a copy of Windows, so...

It also seems that RIM is developing a BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac.  A catch-all current installation files are made for Windows, it will be not as easy as you might think.  Sounds this good, this is the first step towards the development of records for Mac OS installer that can be run off BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac.  Now, is the last part of this speculation on my behalf, so don't hold me to it then I have absolutely no idea when it might come out, but it gives hope!  Keep an eye on official news on this as soon as it is available.

Next option is to use the Wireless Upgrade option if your provider supports.  For example, I know that Verizon will allow upgrades wireless directly on your phone, no need for a computer at all.  Ask your carrrier for more information.

As an alternative, you can also go to your BlackBerry dealer and ask them to update your phone for you.  Most of the dealers will be repeated, especially if they are not too busy.

And another well - ask a friend with a PC please, pretty please allow you to use their computer for the upgrade.

In any case, although that there no incredibly easy solution, I hope that the foregoing shows that it is not a hopeless case and options are available.

EDIT: Beaten to the punch of sdgardne!

  • BlackBerry smartphone error synchronizing Calendar using Desktop Manager 4.7, Outlook 2003, on the storm

I just installed Desktop Manager on my PC (Windows XP).

    Contacts sync fine.

    Calendar does not synchronize:

"Schedule of playback device" is fine.

    "Treatment device calendar" is fine.

'Reading of MS Outlook calendar' is where the error occurs:

Desktop Manager starts to read Outlook 988 items and constantly stops at the point #227, with one of the two error messages:

    (1) ' reported Intellisync, unknown error"or

    (2) 'operation ended unexpectedly.'

    I followed the directions for:

How to enable advanced logging for Intellisync because of the failure of the synchronization to the BlackBerry smartphone

    to

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB01451&SLIC...

This operation required that I change the iloptcfg.cfg file.

    Still no luck. any suggestions?

around on this issue... the only way I found to fix this was to reset the device completely and synchronize "fresh" from my computer. Note: has happened since then, and every time that it is when I use the camera to change a recurring APPT. For now, my lessons learned: whenever I need to edit or delete a recurring appt, I do it from the computer so I do not get locked out of sync to the storm.

  • BlackBerry smartphone Roxio Creator 2009 and Desktop 4.7

I just reinstalled Vista 32 on my pc.  I installed Roxio Creator 2009 also just, and I have to reinstall my Blackberry Desktop software.  I see that the latest version is 4.7 and it is available in two flavors: with and without Roxio Media Manager.

I suspect that, because I have the latest version of Roxio, I don't want the Blackberry Desktop Manager Media Manager.  If I load both, I could create conflicts or other problems.  Can I rely on Roxio Creator 2009 and load the Desktop without Roxio Media Manager 4.7?

I like to keep my pc as clean as possible.  Software is not fun.

    Hello Stecyk,

You are actually right, if you were to install other software Roxio Media Manager installed, it will be the cause of conflicts or break applications.

If you don't want to use the Media Manager, you can always turn on your BlackBerry mass storage mode and drag and drop files via my computer.

    Turn on mass storage mode:

Roxio Media Creator is damaged when BlackBerry Desktop Software with Roxio Media Manager is installed

    Hope that helps!

  • Sync error of blackBerry Smartphones running OS 7

Since last week, I was unable to sync my Torch 9860 with my newly installed desktop software, v7.

The device synced perfectly until I upgraded the software on my Windows 7 computer. Within 5 seconds to start a synchronization, a BB Desktop Software window opens with the following message:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones backup images via the Desktop Manager

When I perform a full backup using the desktop software, it load the backups by looking at my most important files (messages & insertion etc.) but I never see it back up my images that I took with the camera.

All images are stored on my media card when I use the camera on my blackberry. When you perform a save as above, these images get stored on?

Many people use SyncToy to synchronize your card (or a folder in) to your PC.

    Sync is backup difference, same.
