BlackBerry smartphones show no icons

Bold 9930... When I drop the navigation bar, it still shows icons. How do I get the icons do not show up until I'm raising the bar.

Thank you

You must have at least one row of icons showing (I think it's four icons). You can't disable the homescreen icon set.

I hope that helps you.

  • For the blackBerry Smartphones email folder icon has disappeared!

    9650 w/bundle 6.0

My email icon disappeared from my screen.  My verizon email account is listed in the "setup."  I tried turning the power on/off the phone; no change.  I have remove the e-mail account setup and then entered it again and still no luck.  How can I get the email icon to reappear on my phone?  Help!

The first thing to do is to press your menu button and select Show all or show that one is available. If who does not show your icon, you will need to reload your OS. Not to worry, it's really easy to do. Plug your phone into BlackBerry Desktop Software, click Device > backup and make a backup of your data. Once this is done, click again on the device, and then click on restore. Find the backup file that you just created and load it onto your phone. This will restore your email to your home screen icon. It's a good idea to do regular backups so make a habit to backup your phone at least once a month.

    See you soon.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones restart clock icon popping up and battery drain

My BOLD 9650 seems to be constantly rebooting. I'll see the clock icon running (same as on reboot) pop up randomly and the dough runs very quickly. This could be the cause and what can I do to prevent it. I'm on OS6.

    You may installed applications?

Back up and conduct security wipe. Does not restore your installed applications. See the following articles.

See if there still exists. Otherwise, let us know.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones showing new SMS when there is not?

I have the Blackberry Storm, v. 4.7.0.75, and my phone shows w / an astrik on "SMS" icon on the home screen that I have new messages. It does NOT indicate that at the top of the home screen where the time is displayed as it does normally if there are any new texts, emails, etc. I get out my phone's battery and replaced it, and the astrik went maybe 5 seconds, then reappeared again. If I go to the menu screen (show all icons) then go back to the home screen, the astrik will disappear momentarily and then come back. I have NO new messages, all saved messages, or something like that. If anyone knows what I can do, please help.

  • BlackBerry Smartphone keyboard lock icon disappeared (curve 8520)

    Hello

I have recently supported a Blackberry Curve 8520 - I noticed that, once I had connected to my PC via Blackberry Desktop Manager, the icon for the keyboard lock has been removed from the menu.  I looked in the obvious places in the Options to try to restore the icon but can't see anywhere that allow me to ths.  I was also looking for hidden objects, but nothing seems more to be hidden.

Is it possible to restore the icon?

    Thank you all.

You may update the software? The lock has changed in the latest versions of the software in all areas for the devices.

  • BlackBerry smartphone email alert icon not showing on Email folder?

I chose the option to separate my SMS / email messages.  I understand that copies of ALL my messages go to my folder 'messages' standard, but the red alert icon shows only on my 'messages' folder when I receive a new e-mail message.  It does not appear on my e-mail folder.  On my 8830, I could hide my 'messages' folder and manage all my messages SMS & Email to their respective folders, and whenever I got a new email, the small red alert icon would show up through my e-mail folder.  I talked to others on tour in other forums who say that their to work properly.  Their red alert icon will appear next to their EMAIL folder when you receive a new email.  But mine is displayed by my standard 'MESSAGES' folder, so I have to keep the 2 folders side-by-side on my home page, which is very annoying.  E-mail messages still land in my EMAIL account correctly and I can work on this issue, but I don't know where the message was if I didn't keep the handy 'MESSAGES' folder because the alert icon will appear next to that one instead.  Thanks for any help or direction.

    You are welcome.

I think that is how it is planned... on the main messages folder.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones deletion mystery icon on the home screen

An icon appeared over one that shows the number of e-mails.  It's the #2 and one icon I don't know - maybe a small globe.  I can't get rid of this.  It may have something to do with a search I tried yesterday, was not successful and clicked on save the query.  I called the Blackberry line at T-Mobile, but the representative could not help.

I would like to know what it is and how to get rid of.

    Thank you.

  • BlackBerry smartphones several Messages icons

I am a new blackberry user.  A day under my belt.  I followed the implementation of Wizard for email and all is well.  When you are prompted to set up a personal email, I followed the instructions and successfully put in place an email account with my personal email address.  I also have an email account with my business e-mail address.  The problem is that there is now icon 3 'messages' on the homepage of blackberry on my device.  The first has two email my personal and business e-mail, which makes sense because I have configured my accounts by ATT and Outlook to forward my email in my personal email.  But then, there is a message icon just for my personal e-mail and another just for my company email.  If I delete the last two icons, one left?  It's really the only one I need, but I don't know why I had three icons for messages since I only implemented the system for two.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Do not DELETE them, hide them. Go to one and press Menu > hide. So make sure that you press Menu again and that WHOLE SHOW is not checked.

  • BlackBerry smartphone Email VS icon Messages

OK I'm confused a little. I have two icons on my blackberry, they say the Messages and the other has a custom name for my email. When I receive by email, it shows two boxes to the letters. The personalized e-mail box (lloks like Earth w / a yellow envelope) appeared when I set up my pop3 account. I want to receive my emails in a box and nothing else. I know that I can separate messages SMS/MMS from the box "Messages". Is it possible to disable the e-mail for messages box and simply allow the history of calls and messages SMS/MMS only and leave email on the only custom icon? ... or I'm looking into this way too and there is a simpler way to do it.

    Thank you

I simpy hide the specific e-mail icon. There is no real need for it, but it is created with the account.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones (1) Message icon at the top of the phone?

My wife has the message at the top of his phone icon and I can't make it go away?  It shows one (1) next to his email, (1) in his messages icon, but there is nothing there?  His email and SMS/MMS is combined, I tried to separate them, but still can not find it.  I checked the saved messages also.  He drives her crazy seeing her here and not see a message.  Can you help me?

In my view, that's a little dramatic, there are several things to do or check first, a reset to factory settings:

    Try these options:

    * Hard Reset BlackBerry by holding ALT CAP (right Shift key) and DEL (or removing and reinserting the battery)

    Messages > saved Messages

Messages > view folders, check each folder (calls, SMS and MMS, and boxes, saved missed boxes, browser, phone logs etc.)

    * Scroll at the top of the folder, on the title menu, click or tap to MARK PRIOR OPEN date

Change your theme and see if it persists and return to your desired theme. (Options > theme > select.)

    * Clean and reload your OS.

  • Docs of blackBerry Smartphones to go icon

I think having lost or deleted by Docs icon go.  Docs to Go appear on my list of applications being installed, but I can't find it on my homescreen.  Any ideas for what to do?  Thank you.

Check if the icon has been hidden. In the application page, press the menu/blackberry button and select 'show all '.

    Also try a battery pull:
    1. remove the battery while the phone is turned on
    2. wait a few seconds before inserting it again
    3. wait for the long end of the boot process (takes a few minutes usually)

This clears most of the software problems that occur on the BlackBerry from time to time. You can also use Quickpull, a free application that simulates a battery pull without removing the battery: http://software.crackberry.com/product.asp?id=27660
A battery pull gets lost when using the applications memory and clears minor software errors that creep over time. The blackberry is running an operating system just like your PC is running windows and battery pull is the equivalent of a reboot / restart your computer.

If this fails, you may accidentally deleted the file. I suggest that you remove Documents to Go in the list of applications in the phone and then install again by using the Blackberry Desktop Manager: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15172

  • BlackBerry smartphone app world icon makes me crazy

I have an icon to download it from app world of BB. I did the download and it's still there. I can't go I tried everything I can think of other then put my phone back to factory settings and I don't want to do that. Someone help me please...

And you have checked your main messages folder to ensure that there not read messages here, right?  If you hid your main messages file, you will need to show it again to access.

Here is a good thread discussing this and the various ways around it:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/Rim/Board/message?board.ID=appworld&message.ID=2984&query.ID=116...

If you can still get it to work after trying the solutions shown in the link above, then that is what I would say.  Back up data from your phone by using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.  You can wipe your phone by going to Options > Security Options > General settings and then press the BB Menu button and select wipe Handheld.  This process will take about 10 minutes if my memory serves.  Once your phone is back running, restore your backup file use the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.  You will have all your applications redownload again, but this is the best bet.  Note This will not work until you have disabled the unread messages in your main folder.

  • BlackBerry smartphones lost my icons for each email...

Hi, I lost the icons that I use to have for each e-mail account, I added now, I see that my e-mail in the message icon... what happened? Can he have been caused when I did a synchronization operation with my computer?

Under each icon, the e-mail address appeared, my blackberry.com and my msn.com? How can I redo what I had before?

Thanks in advance! you are great!

I posted before that I hated my BB Storm...

I perhaps do like my storm, it was only for 3 weeks and a bit to get the hang of it... so these new users do not give up! Still can't text message quickly and lost time trying to type, but I will keep trying!

    Hello!

First - digging around... you may have accidentally hidden or moved. Check in subfolders (e.g., Applications, downloads, etc.). Turn on hidden icons (BBKey > show all).

If they're really gone, then you will need to re - grow your service... books for that, follow these instructions:

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

Good luck and let us know!

    Hello!

By default, all emails are inserted in posts emails BIS icon/App are also placed in their own icons, but they are still contained in the main Messages application. This is how it works by default. It is not redundant - rather, think that Messages like the Tote place, with the BIS independent icons being a filter, traction (from message) to them only messages that relate to them... but if you act on an e-mail (read, delete, etc.) in one, the change will be reflected in the other.

You can hide or move the Messages icon/app out of the way, but beware - there are more that just the emails that arrive in Messages... it will come a day when you have a new message indicator and only by digging through Messages that you will be able to find this message.

I hope this helps explain how it all works!

    Good luck!
