BlackBerry Smartphones won't receive e-mail while I'm at the office

Hi all

I am a new user of Bold 9700 for movistar (Spain). I've never had a BB before and after watching dozens of forums during the last 3 days, I didn't want a solution to my doubt.

I would like to receive emails from my corporate email account that it now works perfectly (via BIS and Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access) but only when I am out of the office. I would like to suspend receipt of e-mail while I'm at the office. Is this possible? Is this some sort of an option to simply turn on or turn off the emails?

Thank you vey much in advance.

Hi urumilton,

It's true, I tried this option, but as soon as I turned on Data Services, the e-mails themselves. I just wanted to suspend the service. I know how to do it now. Telefónica movistar allows you to choose which of their portal of BIS (http://www.correo.movistar.net/). There is an option called "do not return the message to the device" under the directive "when no filter is applied" and it works.

Thank you very much for your help!

Ahhh... now we have the heart of the matter! GMail and the persistent problems with synchronization. See this article on the many possibilities of synchronization of different messaging services.

Two of my BIS accounts are Gmail so and, Yes, if you remove in the client PC that he remove it from the BB. Boring. But there are remedies...

To stop completely to receive emails, go to settings > e-mail settings. If your GMail account is listed, highlight (but do not click) it. If, instead, you have a log on screen, connect to BIS using the credentials you need and then highlight your GMail account. Now click on the snowflake at the bottom of the screen. See the bottom? "When no filter?" Set to do not transfer. Save everything and you will only receive emails. When you want to once again, this time again and assign messages before. With this method, you will receive messages on the BB that while you had cut her off.

GOLD - you can stop data inside the connection management services. As long as you don't need data to all services, this will stop the flow. But once you restart the flow, you will receive all messages remain on the server of GMail (I know not if you have your Outlook client, remove them from the server or not).

GOLD - you can use the client Add on Gmail for BB. By using the web browser of storm, go to GMail and there should be a 'get gmail faster' or such a link. Click on it and install the client. Launch the client and configure it to your Gmail account. This customer will maintain a full emails on GMail sync so that when you delete in Outlook, it will remove your BB. The only downside here is that, when you send a message with the help of this module, you cannot attach a file to your e-mail. But, you could leave the BIS duct in place (with no transfer for BB)... If you need send an attached file, use the conduit of BIS.

Note that, if you had BES, these responses would have been significantly different. If all goes well, one of these solutions will give you what you are looking for.

Edit - all solutions depend on your Outlook client... If it's leaving messages on the server forever, so they come to the BB no matter what you do...

  • BlackBerry Smartphones has stopped receiving e-mail messages

I have a Blackberry Curve 8300 and my ISP is earthlink.net. Everything works fine until today, when I stopped to receive e-mails on my Blackberry. I just checked, and I can send messages very well, of course, but do not receive them.

Hmmm... I suggest a number of things. First of all, a restart:

With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning.

If that fails, then try to send your service books:

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not receive e-mails from abroad? Help!

    Hello

I have a Blackberry 9700 on Orange, with the package/package of correct data and problems with receiving emails on this subject.

When I'm at home, the 9700 is connected to my home wi - fi network, and I get emails with no problems.

However, when I am away from home, for a reason I do not receive emails sent through my phone. I can confirm that I can access the internet on the Orange network away from home, but for some reason the emails do not come through.

My email account is with GoogleMail.

I took out this contract in January 2010, and initially, when I was away from home, the emails out to my phone.

However, in the last few weeks, I noticed that when I am away from home, I don't get e-mails, but as soon as I come home and the scope of my home network wi - fi, the emails come flooding through.

I checked the settings, and free wi - fi and mobile phone network are on and green.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Hiya!

Clear your registry BIS database is very well, otherwise you get no emails. So chances are its some type of problem, or a problem with your network.

I would try a traction battery on your device while you are away from home (or with disabled WiFi) and see if that gets it

My problem is with my Blackberry Torch 9810 e-mail accounts. I have two accounts and it doesn't seem to work. I tried to access my accounts but now get a login to the screen of Bberry with [Personal Information deleted] ID and ask for password. I never have that in place. When I use the 'forgotten password' button, I get a message that reset instructions were sent to [Personal Information deleted] I have no idea how to do to access this account. Can you help me?

If BB ID is, as you say, new for you, then someone has configured this device with a BBID, and you can or don't want that. BBID is used to help to be sort of a "single sign on" to many things... BIS configuration, BBM, BB Protect email, etc. If you have not created this ID from BB, while you should really do is delete and create a new brand for yourself, that you store the credentials for, as you will need it from time to time (as you do now).

To remove the unit BBID and then create one for you, you must WIPE totally clean unit... This will make the device as it was brand new, so all the data and the applications that you have installed will be gone.

    • KB26694 How to change the BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry smartphone or BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet

Make sure that you have good backup of everything, as you need it - you can find the backup instructions in the auto-sig on this post.

But, if there is a chance that this BB ID is indeed something you created, but simply forgot, then you can try to get back into it. To do this, start first with them please:

    • KB28685 How to reset the BlackBerry ID password by using the password recovery question
    • KB32111 "The link is no longer valid." occurs when you attempt to reset a BlackBerry ID password
    • KB26361 How to change or reset the BlackBerry ID password
    • KB28111 Impossible to reset the BlackBerry ID password when using a hosted BlackBerry email address
    • KB28232 Reset blackBerry ID e-mail are not delivered to the mailbox associated with

If you have forgotten your ID BB credentials AND access non - BB (for example, Outlook, webmail, etc.) for the e-mail account which is currently configured on your account ID from BB, then these instructions should help you regain access to your account ID from BB, even without the issue of recovery or password (Please read them all carefully to find the section you depend on).

However, if you do not have access to this e-mail account, or if you have never successfully validated your BBID account, then your challenge is much larger, and you have a choice to make depending on your situation:

    1. If you have no AppWorld records you need to keep (for example, buy folders for the applications), then simply drop the BB ID and create a new. To do so, however, requires a device WIPE:

      • KB26694 How to change the BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry smartphone or BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet
    2. But, if you do not have AppWorld documents that you need to keep, then you need human intervention. To receive, you must ring to the top of your mobile service provider and convince them to escalate your case up to BlackBerry. In addition, you must convince BlackBerry you with a solution - which probably will be reset your current BB ID so that you can access it again or you will need to create a new BBID and they will manually move your purchase to the wire records. Note that I don't know if they will be willing to do, but there is no other way I know of to keep your prior AppWorld purchase records.

    Hello!!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should talk to your provider of mobile services for formal support.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Designed with e-mail in mind, BB don't really have a simple way to email "we demand." There are a few choices:

    (1) disable data services (in manage connections). This will allow all telephone services continue, stop all data services. While that will include an email, it will also include navigation web and other applications that use data.

    2) enter the configuration of BIS for the e-mail account. Change the default filter ("when no filter) for those times you don't want to receive email. Go back to YES when you want to e-mail again.

In both cases, I'm not positive what will happen when you reactivate the service... maybe it's that you will receive, the BB, all e-mails in queue upward for the time while you had cut her off. Or, it may be only that you will begin to receive new e-mails. I suggest that you run tests to see which work best for your situation.

    Good luck!

    Hello

I got a blackberry torch, but he has developed some problems so I returned to the store.

The store rep saved and restored my data of the torch to a curve they lent me.

    Hello!

If it's show "gprs" then it means that your BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) plan got off.

I recommend that you should contact your service provider to activate it again, so that you can begin to receive your mails to return once again.

I hope that solves your problem!

If your problem has been resolved then would you be asked to click 'Like' and accept as a 'Solution' that other advisors is not invest more of their time on this Message.

  • BlackBerry® Smartphones BB Curve 9320 E-mail help - urgent enough.

Hello. New to this forum, so hope this is the right place.

This device has ceased to receive emails. I checked the settings on the phone and everything seemed fine, so I deleted the e-mail from the device account in the hope that I might add again.

When I tried to add one more time I get the error message "bad email or password". I know that the e-mail address and the password are correct I can log online to the email account and also to receive emails on windows live mail.

the e-mail account was also accosiated with BIS. I could connect to the BIS site without problem.

I decided to completely remove the email from my ISP account and create a new. I always get the same error message - even though ive accosiated the new sound e-mail account BIS.

I've updated the software of devices to a package latest version 7.1.0 2039, then tried to add e-mail once again, without success. Same error message.

I spent 3 hours yesterday talking to my mobile service provider's technical support team and they did everything they could, but to no avail.

This unit has been reset twice using cloth of security which did not help in the factory. Ive a service books went, gave to my mobile operator the number out of the SIM card to send new settings, but that didn't help.

I am at a loss at this problem and im quite technical, but it baffled me and team mobile tech.

Help is very appreciated. I'm ready to wipe the device again. It is not a problem. Unfortunately ive not back up to restore the phone back to how it was before I updated the phone software, so help in the decommissioning of the software can help.

    Thanks in advance.

    EDIT:

Ive tried just using the following link, but still no luck.

    https://consumersupport.webapps.BlackBerry.com/EAVT/app.php?page=form

Hi and thanks for the answer.

Unfortunately the link you provided did not help to address the issue - but thanks to my perseverance and a wave of quick brain I seem to have resolved this issue.

BT e-mail requires that you add the pop and smtp as: mail.btinternet.com for both.

After several hours of talking with my phone operator mobile technical support (which did not help), my provider and even on the Blackberry phone (who also could not help), I decided, as a last resort the attempt and some common technical know-how of knowledge - I've added the address of the pop server as pop3.btinternet.com. In fact, it worked and email can now and has been implemented on the device.

so, for anyone experiencing problems with email Adding BT to BB email addresses, try pop3.btinternet.com instead of mail.btinternet.com

    Thank you!
