Hmmm... It's confusing... "recreating the e-mail address? You mean the e-mail account? I'm not sure that I understand your question and so all I can do is guess again... and I'm going to guess that the KB above is also, for that matter.

I am probably wrong on these assumptions... more information from you of course would increase our chances to understand your situation.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry smartphones, displacement of Contacts of Curve 8350 for Torch 9800

Recently, I upgraded my 8350 to a BB Torch 9800 curve.  Before that, I did a backup of all the files of contacts on the phone. When I connect my torch to my computer, I open the Blackberry Desktop Software to restore my from the curve .ipd file.  I select AddressBook in catering, he said that the restoration is complete, but there is no contacts on the torch.  I tried to restore the entire file without success as well.  Can someone help me please.

Sorry to post without the solution.  I forgot to turn off Wireless for the addressbook.  Once I deleted the complete address book has been restored.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones DELEATING ALL CONTACTS ON THE PHONE LIST

Is it possible to remove the entire list of contacts in my address on my bb8110 box?

Use BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Open backup and restore and select the advanced option. Select the address book database, then select Delete.  There is no recovery if you delete the wrong database. You can create a first backup just to be sure.

  • BlackBerry Torch 9800 of Smartphones "email set up the icon does not"... impossible to change or set up e-mail accounts.

Torch 9800, network provider, O2 UK.

Even if my BlackBerry with O2 service is connected and works as usual, I'm totally without enamel on my Torch 9800. I've owned the Torch 9800 since March. Everything has been fine until last week when I changed the password on one of the 3 email accounts I had set up on my device.  This change of password remains one of the accounts cannot send or receive mail and is also brings me to discover I couldn't enter e-mail address set up on my device or via my site of network providers ( www.o2email.co.uk ).

I spent hours on the phone with O2 debate this issue. The usual controls and procedures have been carried out, battery pulls, checking settings, etc. and service books were removed and returned several times. These actions have not solved the problem but rather leads to the loss of my other accounts Unit 2 e-mail which work properly but have now disappeared in the air. After trying all possible solutions with O2 I come here looking for an answer.

When I visit my mail service BlackBerry network providers trying to create an account using my PIN etc, I absolutely do a pop up box with the message error "your account is not accessed through an HTML browser. Please use your devive to access BlackBerry Internet Service "!  The result is the same, that I connect from my camera on 3 G or wireless, or from a PC (tried several browsers).

On my camera, when I click the icon email accounts in the menu setup that nothing happens, no answer at all. I tried several times and there is no way to configure or change e-mail accounts. I am without mail on my device and growing more and more short of patience.

Now, I'm hoping someone here can give me some advice on how to solve this problem. What is a BlackBerry without e-mail capabilities? I see electronic research set up on the Torch 9800 that I'm not alone here so if someone to BlackBerry is to listen to the problems? If it's a matter of Torch 9800 so I am sure that you will do everything you can to solve this problem, but waiting to help by offering a solution to the problems mentioned.

    Thank you

    Welcome to the forums, bs342!

Well, since you have searched the forums, you're probably aware that the problem you are reporting is unfortunately a common these days.  The good news is that RIM is certainly aware and are working on the problem.

First of all, we will try something on your computer.  What browser do you use?  Your problem, it could well be as simple as to clear the cache of your browser, then closing and reopening the browser for the website to try again.

If this does not work, try this:

In the browser of your device, select mobile.blackberry.com. Select the country of your choice, then click Communicate > Email. Scroll to other personal e-mails and click on join now, then start the configuration of e-mail. You should be able to integrate your e-mail accounts in this way until RIM has solved this problem.

Please let us know how it goes!

  • BlackBerry Torch 9800 of Smartphones 'mouse '.

Any known for the Torch 9800 'mouse' that is not responding @ all?

    Hello

I think you can try two things: the soft reboot, and if it does not, the hard reboot. Don't worry, you can not lose data with these two reboots.

    Soft reboot:
    1) struck the following three keys at the same time:
    -Alt
    -Right shift
    -Remove
    (2) wait 2 minutes for the Blackberry to wake up.

    Hard reboot:
    (1) your BlackBerry smart phone is on
    (2) remove the battery and wait a minute
    (3) replace the battery
    (4) wait 5 minutes for the device to wake up.

Please tell us if it works for you.

  • BlackBerry smartphones send Info Contact

Sorry for the stupid question, but I couldn't find answers in the forums.  How to send information from your list of contacts to another person?  Here's the question - I was at lunch with a colleague and she said: have you coordinates of Antia?  Of course I make my response. She asked me to send it to him and I have no idea how to do that.  I can send a txt with contact inside information or how do I send it to her?  She was using a Palm if it makes a difference.  Also is there a way I can send my personal business card or contact information?

When you write an e-mail, simply click on the Menu button (button to the left of the trackball) or on the scroll wheel and select attach the address.  This will bring you to your BlackBerry address book to select the contact you want to send.

If the email is received on a BlackBerry, the attachment can be read and added to the address book of the recipient.  The attachment is sent in the fairly universal. VCF format, so most people should be able to open the attachment or save it in most of PIM applications.

  • BlackBerry smartphones lost my contacts on the phone and cannot get back them.

My phone has load the other night during a power failure and the morning my contacts and contacts BB disappeared.  These contacts are not lost, because it's my gmail contacts list - but I can't get back them on my phone.  I clicked all the buttons on the sync, but no luck.  I can't manually add a contact and not seeing him.  In the options of the contacts, it says I have 288 contacts associated with my gmail account, and when I manually add one, it goes up by another number.  But - I can't see them anywhere.

Also, I deleted the email account and set up again ensuring the sync box, took out the battery and SIM card and put back and still nothing.  Advice anyone?

You see if gmail is your default service for a list of contacts?

    http://BTSC.webapps.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB11471

    Check the sections under

For BlackBerry Device Software 4.2 to 5.0 or BlackBerry Device Software 6.0

If this is the case, then delete the account gmail from your device and set up in this way:

Since the device, go to mobile.blackberry.com
Scroll to connect and click Send.
Click on join now to gmail.  See if the sync works now.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones lost all contacts during software update

Hey I've just updated v4.6 on my "BOLD" and now I can not find my contacts... info calendar and Outlook still there but all my contacts were lost... Help!

    Thank you

    Hello and welcome!

Depending on how you did the update, it may have created a backup file on your PC. If you did the update via attached USB on your PC (for example, no OTA), search your hard drive for a file with an extension of the RPI (*.ipd). Inspect the results (date/time of the file) and choose the one to use in the restore. Then, run the DTM software and perform a selective restore:

If you update OTA or skipped the backup office during the update, then I'm sorry for your loss, but there is nothing to do.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones to backup contacts from my phone

    I have a Pearl 9105.

Sorry if this sounds very basic to you all, but I want to know specifically if my phone contacts list is backed up durng the "back-up process" when it is connected to my laptop.

If so, how could access to this list to load it on my portable device if I have a problem with the list of contacts in the future, for example if my handheld computer has a software or hardware failure. It's my second Pearl 9105 in three months and I lost all my contacts list when the first failed!

I tried to look in all so-called backup files on my computer laptop but can not open even they even less to see what's inside.

    Thank you

I tried to look in all so-called backup files on my computer laptop but can not open even they even less to see what's inside.

    Hello

These backup files are created to be backup copies. Their purpose is only to be restored on a device.

If you want to read their content, you will need to find applicaitions to third parties, like the ABC Amber BlackBerry Converter.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Priv backup Contacts on Google

    Hello everyone

I use a Blackberry since 2002, but clearly have some gaps in my understanding of technology!  At the moment I have to go to the help of my beautiful PRIV and transferred my 2000 + contacts from my old to my new Priv Q10 I don't use my head.  When the choice to import my contacts from Google - I chose to make them all "local contacts" only - since I used an Office Outlook rather than Gmail and didn't know that I would now have no way to back up my contacts.  Now, I want to download the new OS - but don't want to do until I backed up my device - especially my Contacts.  How can I move all of my current contacts to Google (who doesn't have a few contacts inside) and save my PRIVATE.  A big thank you to those who help with entry. GigiatTO

If I understand correctly you have all your contacts on your PRIVATE, right?

First you'll need a google account , and I guess you have already.

    Go to the Contacts app

You should see your contacts list and category "Local Contacts" should be displayed above.

Tap 3 dots (...) in the upper right corner

    Select import/export

    Now tap export to storage

    Confirm the operation.

Now, your contacts are saved in the internal memory of your PRIV.

You will need to "file manager" see/find this file, or you can connect your PRIVATE to your PC and copy that newly created... file .vcf on your desktop.

That you have copied this file to your PC

Open the browser and go to google.com

    In search type: google contacts

Click on the link and enter your credentials if requested

Once there, on the left side you should see button 'more '.

When you click on it, there will be more options and you need to ' import/export '.

He points to your file saved on the PC and it will start to transfer your information.

    * Some people have a lot of elements saved in contacts, such as date of birth, address, info from facebook, and so on.  I don't know how much info will get transfer, but should phone numbers and name.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones move all Contacts from the SIM?

I'm changing to a 9700 for a 9790. I have a ton of contacts in the internal memory of the old phone and need to move all the way to the SIM card so I can pass the info on the new phone. Is there a way to copy all the contacts at once on the SIM card? Otherwise, I'll spend a week moving one by one.

    Hi jgazolm

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums

Not on our smartphone BlackBerry you can not copy all Contacts from a SIM card at the same time, if you want to copy you make one because the BlackBerry address book is much more robust it will be a different arrangement with a resource person and several areas of information (phone cell phone, work phone, home phone, e-mail address, etc.) while the SIM card SIM card allows only one entry per phone number.

KB04205 : copy a Contact to your address book to the SIM phone.

You go from 9700 to 9790 option switch device Wizard will use BlackBerry Desktop Software it will transfer all your data from your old phone to the new.

KB23677 : How do I switch using BlackBerry Desktop Software devices.
