  I suspect that the developer has another version of the device application according to BB10 you use, for example on my jump I shows me 9.5.30.0

  That being the case, when you contact the developer I would ask them to check what version of their app, they have 'activated' for each device BB10 and mention the different versions being shown in this thread based on device type.

  My suspicion is a device with the version 9.6, but other devices were not activated with the version 9.6.

  I got an error that says "Recordset bad peripheral", I used the DataPurgeUI program and found a contact on my BlackBerry Pearl 8120, I can't delete or update, and she also does not update on my Mac when I sync it (I use PocketMac).   My new Pearl unlocked will receive 3G in a different location at home but at the tower that connects me does 900 Mhz and I can't have 3g. Can get 2g ok. Another card sim with the same supplier will get 3g in their phone but when in my phone won't get 3g. So this is only my phone. Is there a setting somewhere that resticts me to receive 900 Mhz 3g? Or is there something I can do to receive 3G

  I use Optus as a supplier and have confirmed that 900 Mhz is what they use on the local tour.

  I tried the option reboot i.e. Remove battery while only turned on without result.

  I think I found the answer to my problem on another site. Although the phone is 'unlocked' there are two models of the Pearl. We use 800/850/1900/2100 (Telstra) and the other 900/1700/2100 (OPtus and Vodaphone)

  I obviosly have a phone Telstra can I get 3G in an area of 2100 but not 900 area.

  Then, if other people have a similar problem which is the answer.

  I am currently going back to my provider to have the phone replaced because it not "unlocked" as announced.

  Hey Cody. Thanks for your reply. I think I may have misunderstood Andre's initial response. In the meantime, I think I solved my problem. When I was invited to install the update again once I started doing that and then 'cancelled' after he began to try to install it. When I right click it (the update), while it is in this state of limbo the ability to 'hide' appeared magically in the selection box and I was able to chose him.   Thanks for your comment. As mentioned in my post, I was really frustrated. However, I found a solution by logging into "another home WiFi". When I went to my friend, I tried its wifi at home, then all of a sudden, was able to connect to the BlackBerry server. I don't know the reason why it does not connect with my wifi at home but working with her wifi at home.

  If all BB users encounter a 50504 error message, I encourage them to try "another connention WiFi" for example a friend home WiFi, WiFi, etc.
