Blue screen error with atikmpag.sys in Windows 7

* original title - various tasks, screen freezes, the driver unloads video (default 100% speed GPU fan), then atikmpag.sys BSOD - 3 months of pain

Well, this is going to be long and stretched, so I will start with my sincere apologies.

Description of the problem:
I rebuilt my entire machine a few months previously, after purchasing a TechNet Plus subscription new video card ATI Radeon 5870 2 GB and new AMD PhenomII X 4 965 CPU.  Quickly, I installed Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 and started to load all the drivers and applications.  Then the problems started.  I want to play WoW would freeze the game, the screen would be gray, then black, then the fan on the video card could turn 100% gas (video driver Windows in vacuum), then about 60 to 90 seconds later, I'd get a BSOD with either atikmdag.sys or lately, it's been atikmpag.sys.  This happens also in looking at video clips in Windows Media Player or VLC and sometimes even when I watch YouTube videos (both in IE or Firefox).

System Specs:
ASUS Crosshair II Formula motherboard
Processor AMD PhenomII X 4 965
Patriot 4 GB RAM
Sapphire ATI Radeon 5870 2 GB
AHCI controlled hard discs and CD
Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 (Technet)

Resolution attempts:
1 reinstalled Windows 7
2. reinstalled Windows 7
3. has taken the store of the local computer system and received a replacement of the stock video card
4 reinstalled Windows 7
(while reinstalling Windows, tried to use the drivers ATI Catalyst 9.12 (from original CD) version, 10.1, 10.2, 10.3, 10.4 and finally 10.5 installed on 2010-03-06)
5 has tried to change ATI Performance profile XML
CoreClockTarget and MemoryClockTarget to Want_0 and Want_1 to be superior to
by default, if the map wouldn't increase the speed as well (recommended by ATI
Forums)
* a began to arrive like clockwork, when I installed RollerCoasterTycoon3, crash guaranteed within 30 minutes from a screenplay, it began 6/1, so the following entries are from this past weekend at today *.
New drivers from ATI, 10.5, installed.  No change in behavior.
6 disabled Aero in the Windows (no effect, re-activated)
7 uninstalled catalyst Suite, leaving bare drivers only (current config with version 10.5)
8 tried to use verifier.exe to diagnose the problem, the system would be only BSOD when booting, soon in the splash screen, then restart
9. attempt to repair window, unable to find a solution, no change, restart
10 Mode safe boot to run verifier.exe and remove current running values
11 restart Windows normally
12 called Support Microsoft (available upon request by MP number) 07/06/2010

Controlled Microsoft Support Technician my computer for a few minutes and I showed him the minidump file use dumpchk.exe, but he said it seems to be just a video card driver problem.  I have very very hard to believe that after 3 re - moved and 5 different versions of the drivers.  I will try to contact the ATI support tomorrow.  I thought that someone on this site might be able to help me to the analysis of minidumps and eventually find the real cause of this issue.  I download DxDiag.txt exit, minidumps and the full memory.dmp file (compressed with winrar best setting, but was still divided into two files because of the restriction of 50 MB) to my folder public skydrive, link below:

  • Blue screen error 0x000000D1 "ekqmiio.sys."

    How can I stop this blue screen since then to appear on my computer? im running windows vista SP2 and I get this blue screen after 15 minutes whenever I start my computer, it says DRIVER_IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and at the bottom, it shows a file called "ekqmiio.sys" but I don't know what sound driver where what to do with it? I get the STOP Code 0x000000D1 and this has just started the other day, I checked the info on this file "ekqmiio.sys" and it was created at the same time, I deleted some virus from my computer, don't know if this could have something to do with it, but unless I have has not installed a new hardware or software of any kind.  any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Repair attempt tells us not what you did. Have you checked
    Malware? Don't forget that no one program will detect all malware. You updated the BIOS, low
    level chipset drivers and device drivers main since the system (motherboard manufacturer site
    manufacturer of custom systems) and device manufacturers sites?

    If you can not save or copy the data to removable media such as CD, DVD, or USB drives,
    then you can put the hard drive on another computer as 2nd drive or externally
    USB box. After the backup of the date, then you can reinstall Windows to see if it solves
    blue screen problems.

    Problem - every day 2 or 3 times a day I get a blue screen error NETIO. SYS System_service_exception. Below, I am paste all of the content of the DMP file. Please check and tell the problem as soon as possbile. I checked it by replacing the windows several times even in windows 8 and 10... I get the same error on blue screen.

    A few moments ago I had to do a restore of the system for some reason forgotten but restoring interrupted when the power off when I tried to restart it gave me a chioce of such boot options that start normally start SafeMode etc... but when I choose one of them it is said that the PSHED.dll file is missing or currput so I put in my drive repair/install and reboot, but after the white bar has loaded and the green bar loads, it gives me a blue screen error with the info tech being 0x0000C1F5 and the rest are zero

    I have a gateway with windows Home premium 32-bit model and more recent material I instaled a grapics card xfx 9800gt nvidia and a new mouse, any help would be appreciated thanks

    Since you've already tried to update the Nvidia drivers, you can try to uninstall and reinstall the same check.

    You can try to uninstall and reinstall all the programs and features Nvidia drivers and Device Manager.

    Step 1:

    Uninstall the audio drivers from programs and features

    a. click on start

    b. type appwiz.cpl in the start search

    c. search for all driver packages, Nvidia, right click and uninstall.

    Step 2:

    Uninstall the drivers from Device Manager.

    a. click on start

    b. type devmgmt.msc in search, and then press enter

    c. in find Manager device for the device, right-click on it and select the option uninstall.

    After you remove the drivers of these two places, you can try to remove the NVIDIA folder and restart to see if that solves the problem after I installed the generic drivers.

    Step 3:

    To delete the folder:

    one. Click on start and Type C:\windows\system32\drivers folder in start search

    b. click on drivers and select nvlddmkm.sys

    c. right click and rename nvlddmkm.sys in nvlddmkm.sys.old. or delete.

    d. restart the computer and check.

  • Blue screen errors the problem points to the files Volsnap.sys or Classpnp.sys.

    Last month, I had a series of blue screens.  The problem points to the files Volsnap.sys or Classpnp.sys.

    I have a Dell Precision T3500, running 64-bit Windows 7 Prof.  The system is configured with RAID.

    Sometimes rebooting the system in the middle of the night and sometimes it freezes while I work on that.  It is during the night to safeguard and Virus scanning using Trend Micro, which is the only type of trainer of spam on the system.

    No idea on how to stop this would be really appreciated!  Thank you

    Think video drivers especially if it may be others. Refer to the section of driver in my generic bluescreen
    methods of troubleshooting below. BIOS, low and antispyway/antivirus/security chipset drivers
    programs may also cause this. Check the resolution of the problems and when you get to the pilot and sections tests memory refer to the generic methods in the next message and then returns to the resolution of problems

    A driver tried to access a pageable (or that is completely invalid) address while the IRQL was too high.

    This bug check is usually caused by drivers who used a wrong address.

    Resolution

    If you do not have to debug this problem, you must use certain basic troubleshooting techniques. If a driver is identified in the bug check message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video cards. Check with your hardware vendor for updates to the BIOS. Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading.

    If you plan to debug this problem, you find it difficult to get a stack trace. Parameter 2 (the address of the exception) should identify the driver or function that caused the problem.

    If the exception code 0 x 80000003 occurs, this indicates that a breakpoint coded hard or assertion was hit, but the system was launched with the /nodebug. switch. This problem should occur infrequently. If it occurs repeatedly, make sure a kernel debugger is connected and the system is booted with the Switch/DEBUG .

    In case of exception code 0 x 80000002, the trap frame will provide additional information.

    If you don't know the specific cause of the exception, the following should be considered:

    Hardware incompatibility. First of all, make sure that all new equipment installed is compatible with the installed version of Windows. For example, you can get information about compatibility with Windows 7 in the Windows 7 Compatibility Center.

Disable the cache in the BIOS memory could also resolve the error. You must also run hardware diagnostics, especially the scanner memory, provided by the manufacturer of the system. For more information about these procedures, see the manual of your computer.

    The error that generates this message may occur after the first reboot during Windows Setup, or after installation is complete. A possible cause of the error is incompatibility of the system BIOS. BIOS problems can be solved by upgrading the version of the system BIOS.

  • Note  This procedure assumes that you can locate NT! PspUnhandledExceptionInSystemThread. However, in some cases (for example an access violation crash) you will not be able to do. In this case, to look ntoskrnl! KiDispatchException. The third parameter passed to this function is a trap frame address.     I keep my pc while it was running chkdsk (Yes, I know now that it was stupid) and since then couldn't make it past the above blue screen error message.

    I have worked with F8, F12 and F2 Setup and managed to do it boot from the CD.  I put in the diagnosis CD and ran the diagnostics for blue screen and hard drive errors - all tests passed.

    Then, I changed Setup to boot from the hard disk - but again received the blue screen.  Once back to the prompt, I tried running chkdsk/f and has received no indication of errors.  I tried chkdsk/f/r and can not access the recovery screen (it says it's an invalid order).  I tried to put it in C: > R and f: > R (F is my cd drive).

    Help!  How can I get rid of this screen?

    You damaged the Windows installation. If you have not saved the data on that hard drive, you may be able to get it back by using Linux Livecd such as Knoppix and copying data to an external hard drive. General information about the use of Knoppix for this are:

    You will need a computer with two cd drives, which is a dvd/cd-rw OR a usb thumb drive with enough capacity to store your data, OR a usb/firewire external drive to FAT32 (not NTFS) *. To get the Knoppix, you need a computer with a fast Internet connection and software third engraving. Download Knoppix .iso image file and create your bootable cd. Then start with her and she will be able to see the files in Windows. If you use the USB key or an external hard disk, right-click on its icon (on the desktop) to get its properties and uncheck "read only". Then click on it to open it.
