Hello

You have ZoneAlarm or any 3rd party firewall installed? If so, this could be the cause.
Other antivirus/security programs could be at least partially responsible.

This fix "could" apply however do not use if you are quite safe.

UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP bug control has a value of 0x0000007F. This bug check indicates that the Intel CPU generated a trap and the kernel could not catch this trap.

This trap might be a bound trap (a trap the kernel is not allowed to capture) or adouble foul(an error occurred during the processing of an earlier fault, which always results in a failure of the system).

Parameters

The first parameter that is displayed on the blue screen indicates the number of trap.

The most common trap codes are the following:

  • 0x00000000 or division by zero error, indicates that a DIV instruction is executed and the divisor is zero. Memory corruption, other hardware problems or software failures can cause this error.
  • 0 x 00000004, or overflow, occurs when the processor executes a call to an interrupt handler when the overflow (OF) is flag set.
  • 0x00000005, or limits check fault, indicates that the processor, then executing a BOUND instruction, determines that the operand exceeds the specified limits. A BOUND instruction ensures that a signed array index is within a certain range.
  • 0 x 00000006 or Opcode not valid, indicates that the processor attempts to execute an invalid instruction. This error occurs generally when the instruction pointer is corrupted and point to the wrong address. The most common cause of this error is hardware memory corruption.
  • 0x00000008 or Double fault, indicates that an exception occurs during a call to the previous exception handler. In general, two exceptions are handled in series. However, there are several exceptions that cannot be handled serially, and in this case, the processor signals a double fault. There are two common causes of a double fault

CAUSE

0x7F bug check occurs after the installation of a faulty or incompatible hardware (including memory) or if installed hardware fails.

A double fault can occur when the kernel stack overflows. This overflow occurs if multiple drivers are attached to the same battery. For example, if two file system filter drivers are associated to the same stack and then again the recursively of file system, the capacity of the battery.

Solve the problem

Troubleshooting: If you have recently added the material to the computer, remove to see if the error recurs. If the hardware failure existing, remove or replace the faulty component. Run the diagnostics of material that does not have the system manufacturer supplies to determine which hardware component.

The scanner memory is particularly important. Faulty or incompatible memory can cause this bug check. For more information on these procedures, see the manual of your computer. Check that all the cards in the computer are well calibrated. Use an ink eraser or electrical contact treatment, available in electronic supply stores, to ensure the adapter card contacts are clean.

If the error appears on a newly installed system, check the availability of updates for BIOS, SCSI, or card network controller. These updates are generally available on the Web site or the hardware manufacturer BBS.

Confirm that all hard drives, hard disk controllers and SCSI adapters are listed in the list of the products tested Microsoft Windows market.

If the error occurred after the installation of a new or updated device driver, you should remove or replace the driver. If, in this circumstance, the error occurs during the startup sequence and the system partition is formatted with NTFS, you may be able to use Safe Mode to rename or to delete the faulty driver. If the driver is used as part of the start-up procedure of the system Safe Mode, you must start the computer by using the Recovery Console in order to access the file.

Also to restart your computer and press F8 to character-based menu that displays the choice of operating system. In the menuof Advanced Options , select thelast known good Configuration option. This option is most effective when you add a single driver or service at a time.

Overclocking (setting of the CPU to run at a speed higher than the nominal specification) can cause this error. If you have overclocked to the computer that is experiencing the error, return the CPU to default clock speed setting.

Check the system log in Event Viewer for additional error messages that might help identify the device or driver that generated the error. You can also disable caching memory BIOS to try to resolve the problem.

If you have encountered this error during the upgrade to a new version of the Windows operating system, the error can be caused by a device driver, system service, an anti-virus or a backup tool that is not compatible with the new version. If possible, remove all third-party device drivers and system services and disable all antivirus before upgrade you. Contact the software manufacturer for updates of these tools. Also, make sure that you have installed the latest Windows Service Pack.

Finally, if all of the steps above do not resolve the error, take the system motherboard to a repair for the diagnostic facility. A crack, a scratched trace, or a defective component on the motherboard can also cause this error.

  • Dual LUN T60p w/ATI Mobility FireGL V5250 gets BSOD code recovery mode standby/hib 0x7F(0xd,0x0,0x0,0x0)

I recently added a monitor to my T60p.  The video is an ATI Mobility FireGL V5250 with 512 MB of video RAM.  With ATI and the original BIOS drivers, there is a refresh very noticeable flicker tear occurring on the external monitor.  I tried to update the video using the ATI drivers, but it was a no-go (he pointed out that no supported device has been found, and indeed the V5250 is not a standard ATI offering).  I downloaded and installed the video driver ATI at 2008-01-31 listed in the downloads and drivers for the Lenovo T60p, and the problem remains.  Then I downloaded and installed the latest version of the BIOS (v1.14 - 7IET33WW) and recovered the stability of the display.  Other components of the system have also been updated: Reader, display HotKey, Powermanager of fingerprints.

The next and current obstacle became the system to resume from standby or Hibernate mode (which we used to do without any problem).  If I put the PC to sleep or into hibernation after the desktop on the external monitor display, it will BlueScreen during reboot while resting on the login screen (or when connecting if I don't wait for the system to 'solve').  If I do not extend to the desktop, it seems to take OK (I didn't of extensive testing).  When the system is restarted, the error report that is sent to Microsoft would get a response indicating an incomplete/invalid dump and no help on the error.

I reapplied (not uninstall) drivers ATI, thinking that he can use new behavior of BIOS to correct itself.  Minidumps are apparently now complete (since the Microsoft error report accepts them at least), but there is no indication in the discharge report, and they continue to occur.  He's still 0x7F (0xd, 0 x 0, 0 x 0, x 0).

I have 26 minidumps.  WinDbg can read them and reports of 0x1000007f (like 0xd, 0, 0, 0) in at offset 102550 ati2mtag.sys (probably hex) and the offending statement a bugcheck was:

movzx eax, byte ptr fs: [h 51]

Anyone can shed some light on this?  I have not uninstalled/reinstalled drivers ATI because I don't want to take the risk of completely paralysing the PC.

The problem has been corrected (!), so I'll mark this as resolved issue.  I now inoperative Center control Catalyst (CCC), but I think it's a relatively minor issue that I can deal with later.

There are several learning along the way to share with all those who are interested:

-After this experience, I would consider v8.442 FireGL video driver as it is less stable than the Version 8.383.1.1.3 (for XP) mode dual monitor and does not recommend its use.  If you do not upgrade to it, be prepared to restore.

-Old drivers can be found on www.opendrivers.com, but are also available via ftp from the IBM web site.  I found it quite by chance.  The v8.383.1.1.3 driver is ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/79d165ww.exe.

-If, like me, you may not use rollback and must install a driver more old an new, know that the old version of the CCC will not install.  You need to uninstall the newer version first.  Otherwise, you will remain with a version of CCC who (apparently) does not work.

    Thanks for your help, JanJL!

    Hello

So I start my laptop the password set in get a DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL blue screen, then it starts initially on screen then I go to safe mode, then I still get a blue screen that says problem detected Windows stop!

So, how to move the stupid laptop is old only 2 days is there a way to restore to factory settings or uninstall certain things to try to fix? I'm not too computer savvy so any help would be appreciated

    > is it possible to restore it to factory settings
If you had read the manual you would know how to restore laptop to factory settings ;)

Still if you also get a bluescreen mode safe, that there seems to be a problem with the installation of the OS and you must restore it back to factory settings. Therefore, you can use the recovery disk as described here:

  • Satellite A300-20F - Bluescreen and cannot start Windows

    Hello
    I have A300-20F

I installed a new clean vista with my spare drive because I was taking dead bluescreen errors but today I took some of them... I had installed my all drivers updated.
now the situation is the following:

I can not open vista. When I try to open in safe mode it gives BSOD that I do not see what are these codes. I try to open with my spare drive, but it says firstfully: "windows is loadind files" then gives me an error:

    file: windows\system32\boot\winload.exe
    Status: 0 x 0000001
The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or damaged.

What can I do now? I can't open anything now! Show me a way please... (he gave me a lot of mistakes, so couldn't write down them)

    Hi dunkerman,

If you can start t in Windows in safe mode I think some Windows files are corrupted or something went wrong during the installation of the driver

You wrote that you have installed a new clean Vista with your rescue disk. This means that you have used the Toshiba Recovery disk or a normal disc of Microsoft?

Usually, if you install Toshiba Recovery disk Windows all drivers and tools will also be installed because the disk contains a ready image of factory settings. So generally with these settings, everything should work fine then I recommend to test again with a recovery disk.

What blue screen, you get exactly? Can you post the code as 0 x 00000123 bluescreen.
In addition, it would be important to know what operating system you have.

The beeps lift side of the keyboard can be disabled in the BIOS (BIOS setup > advanced > System Setup). There is an option called beep you have to disable.

  • Satellite Pro A300-28V - my bluescreens disappeared when the BIOS has been upgraded

I'm curious to know about it. The machine is a Satellite Pro A300-28V with Vista32/Win7.
Had problems with bluescreen dumps referring to 'iaStor.sys '. I was about to send the laptop in for repair when I made this last effort to resolve the problem. Upgrade 1.9 to 2 BIOS, 1 - Win.

All of a sudden my system image succeeded! Even at an Iomega home network HDD. Without complex!
No blue screen exports even at startup 'cold' (after a free night)!

For now, I leave the computer in sleep mode while I am at work. Let's see if he managed a day without landfills.

What is the technical difference between 1.9 and 2.1 BIOS? No idea if it's something with iaStor.sys to do?

    Hi mate

This is really good news as your BSOD displeasured after the BIOS update.
The BIOS give instructions to the test power - on self test (POST) and provide basic information on how to manage components of the laptop, as HDD, ODD memory, that are required to load the operating system.

Who knows, what was changed in the update but the main thing is that all the work and the update solve your BSOD

    > No idea if she has something with iaStor.sys to do?
iaStor.sys is part of the SATA driver who is required to recognize the HARD drive using AHCI mode.

  • Satellite R630-141 - Bluescreens after virsus

I have a Satellite R630-141, which recently began to be planted in a blue screen. This product at random, even when he's not be used and sitting idly. I initially thought it's bourne virus so using zonealarm security suite I ran a scan of the entire depth. I also ran malwarebytes. The two scans are a total of three infections that have been quarantined. This does not resolve the issue.

My second step was to run the check disk HARD windows and memory check that both have no problems.

Then, I thought that this may be caused by overheating. Using the Toshiba PC health monitor and a freeware called coretemp I followed the core temperature hovering around 30-40 degrees centigrade and with moderate use that can go up to 60 ° C with gusts thereon to 70 C idling. I don't know if these temperatures are in the correct area, but they seem fine. I ran a CPU and RAM stress test, which has managed to increase the temperature to 90 c without crashing the system, the fan speed is tilted very well thanks to this test.

before doing a complete restoration or repair, I wanted to ask if this is a known issue on or if you may be able to give a reason for his appearance.

    concerning
    end

    Hi findlay234,

To be honest, I doubt that the problem is caused due to overheating. If your laptop overheats it would power off immediately or freeze, but I never had a problem with blue screen due to a higher temperature.

In your case I might make a recovery facility. Maybe the virus deleted some files (registry) important and that s causing the bluescreens.
You can use the recovery disc HARD reinstall Windows, but don t forget that everything on the first partition (C:\) is removed, so back up your data on another drive.

  • Satellite Pro L500-1 t 5 BlueScreens and visualize disruptions

A few days ago my laptop crashed when I he began and showed a blue screen with the code:

    0 x 0000116 (0xFFFFFA8007AF8010, 0xFFFFF88004AC3D9C, 0x0, 0,)
    0 x 0... (02) atikmdag.sys address FFFF88004AC3D9C base at FFFF88004AB1000

After that, it was impossible to boot the operating system (Windows 7) regularly.
The PC is very slow and had a lot of disruption in the display (some columns with horizontal stripes across the screen). Start the computer in safe mode was possible, but the disruption was still there.

My first idea was to uninstall the graphics card (ATI Radeon 4650 Mobility) and it worked.
I could start my OS normally.

But the laptop kept crashing in a BSOD after a few hours.
    The report after it was:

I sent it using Toshiba, January 3, but I did not answer until now. So I hope that someone here could help me.

I tried many things (drivers update, windows update, tests of software malware and many more), but nothing really continuous working. Sometimes the disturbance disappeared for a few hours just return again. When I started a game, the laptop crashed immediately. So I suspected a lack of memory.

I did a witch proven my computers memory memtest work perfectly and during a hardware test my hard drive seemed to work too - but I'm no expert in this. When I did a full test material (with a trial version of EVEREST) the tool always crushing when the test reaches OpenGL. I disabled my video card and the test passed. After that I could use my laptop regularly... but without a video card.

Yesterday, everything has worked perfectly - there was no accident and no disturbance of the display. When I tried to stop the computer, I noticed, that windows wanted to install a new update for ATI Radeon Mobility 4650 (which was in fact very old). It happened several times in the last days and never did something good.

And of course it would reactivate the dev video. So I tried to prevent it to disable the updates.
But it does not work. Installed the WIndows update and it came to pass that he should be: that day crashed my computer, when I started it and since this time, the disruption of the display again. And this time it seems to stay... disabling the card does not help this time.

I don't know what else to do. Does anyone have an idea?
I suspect a problem with the drivers. But I can't install the drivers with the official Catalyst software.
I have my Toshiba laptop for summer 2010 and never had any problems like that.

    0 x 0000116 > (0xFFFFFA8007AF8010, 0xFFFFF88004AC3D9C, 0 x 0... 0, 0 x 0... 02) atikmdag.sys address FFFF88004AC3D9C base at FFFF88004AB1000

From my point of few graphics card is the troublemaker.
The atikmdag.sys file that occurs in the BSOD message, belongs to the ATI driver.
I don t think that the graphics card driver might cause this problem. If GPU driver problem, new installation or update should fix the problems. But it seems that helps too.

This is why I think the GPU chip is malfunctioning.

By the way: you should not send an email to Toshiba, but contact the Toshiba authorized Service Provider (ASP) in your country. Service guys are usually the first point of contact in the event of hardware problems.

  • Blue boxes and Bluescreens when you feed up to Satellite Pro P100-438

    Hello

I own a Pro Satellite P-100-438 (PSPAHE - 001001GR). Yesterday, I tried to start a game, and shortly after, he froze, showed strange bluish rectangles and then a screen blue, followed by a reset.

Then the screen was full of blue shaded boxes in the nature of a grid as a layer of perfect finish. Even the start screen "Toshiba - contact tomorrow" has this box-grid layer.
From the login screen Vistas should appear, there is an another bluescreen: 0 x 00000050 Page Fault In Non-Paged area.

Now, I can only start the computer in safe mode.

I tried to restore the last configuration of windows work but that did not help. I tried to remove the display so drivers and fiddled with the parameter of startup in msconfig and at one point, I was actually able to get Vista running as usual without the blue boxes, but after awhile, I got another blue screen and since then, they have remained.

    Sometimes, there is an another screenshot as well: 0 x 00000116. nvlddmkm.sys - address 8C8149A0 base at 8 808000, DateStamp 4a9cdd24

And he said something 'Attempt to reset display driver and recover timeout failed.' as well.

    See these screenshots:

    Any tips or suggestions?

    Best regards

    Daniel

    Hi again,

last night I checked if the problem might be related to overheating. But now I think that's not the problem. I removed some dust, but it wasn't really much. Accidents still happen.

Regarding the graphics bugs: this is the kind of a grid of blue boxes. But this isn't a perfect grid. Only a grid on the screen. I have a photo I will upload tomorrow. When I move the windows under the grate, it stays in place. Everything as it was somehow in the surface of the screen.

Maybe if the graphics card is broken? It is not the RAM. I removed one at a time, and it is not related to it.

Somehow check whether the graphics card? It's a Geforce Go 7900 GS.

The laptop is a Satellite Pro P100-438 (PSPAHE - 001001GR).

If I bought a replacement graphics card, might be able to buy a better? They're much cheaper than three years ago. Or which would mean too much consumption and amount of heat energy?

What are the cards would work?

    Best regards

    Daniel

So you n t have a Toshiba laptop?
This forum is created for users of Toshiba

Anyway, the BSOD could be caused by serious software or hardware problem.
    Each tool/software pre-installed could cause a BSOD
I think that you should first check if the BSOD happen using the computer with the new OS preinstalled.
If the BSOD happen again, then you should check the RAM modules.
