Boot problem - code blink?

Hello

I'm new here so apologies if I have not found one already answered about.

I have a HP dv7 laptop (model 17.3 "2009) and when have pulled up the screen is empty (not yet turned on), the NumLock & caps lock flash simultaneously and continuously at an interval of approximately 3 seconds. I read up on the "hp blinking codes", but as I interpret it, none of them don't apply to me...

My understanding is that there should be a number of flashes/beeps then they must stop, and, if you want the phone to repeat the code to push the power button...

Is there an any code of default for this, or even a will?

Thank you

Chris

Hey Christopher-B,.

Unfortunately, it seems that this could be the crackling 1 blink indicating a processor failure. The model 1 blink is just as you described: Blink, pause, pause, blink, blink, pause and so on. You may have already encountered this document on blink codes before, but it will give you more information on this issue.

Your computer never boots up correctly, or you get the code flashes each time? If this happens every time, it is possible that the processor just needs to be reinstalled. Most likely, it must be replaced.

Let me know if you have any questions!

  • Network card problem Code 31 on Tower Dell Vista

    Hello

I have a Dell running Vista OS base tour

In the Device Manager both wireless and cable port broadcom usb are yellow exclamation Code 31.  The proper drivers are installed, and I even bought a different usb wireless brand companies and who show the same thing.

On startup, I get the message "Windows has encountered a problem installing the software driver for your device.

So I have no internet access

When I run the Broadcom driver installation software it runs and then gives me "The wizard was interrupted before the Broadcom 440 x 10/100 integrated Controller could be completely installed"

When you load them manually drivers for the USB wireless system can't find the sticks that work.  Work in the same ports Usb flash drives so I know this is not a usb problem.

I have haved tried in high cmd prompt netsh winsock reset catalog and reset netsh int ip ipreset.txt

Since I can't send them, here are the 3 (1 for the broadcom), 1 for the linksys USB and 1 for the Netgear USB reports "problem reports and solution."

    Hi Pogaria,

You can try to perform the clean boot and check if you can try to download and install the network drivers.

Clean boot will start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs and help to eliminate software conflicts.

The following link has steps showing how to perform the clean boot:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

After completing the clean boot trying to install the network drivers.

Note: After you have installed all the drivers, please to ensure that the computer is configured to start as usual according to step 7 of the above article:

    Hope this information is useful.

We organize a Dos based Windows 98 application and I need to find a driver for the integrated parallel port. The motherboard is an ASUS P5GD2-TMX/S. Thank you... Steve

    Hi Steve,.

Here's an article that might help: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060

    Method One

    1. Completely remove the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters from the following registry key values:

      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

NOTE: If you get a code 39 message, it may be that additional third-party filter drivers were added to UpperFilters and LowerFilters values in addition to Adaptec filter drivers. In this case, you can try to remove the first non-Adaptec filter drivers, filters Easy Creator by leaving in place to see if the Code 39 goes away. If you still receive an error code 39, 32 or 31, delete Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely values in the previous key.

  • Unknown device: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems (Code 43).

I have Windows 7 Ultimate. Recently an unknown device keeps popping up in the device manager every time that I start to win. It is reported the location is in the front USB hub, but I haven't changed it anything lately. The device status says "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems (Code 43)". I can uninstall or disable it but it will get picked up again the next time that I reboot. All other usb devices (mouse, keyboard, webcam, UPS APC, external hard drive, printer) work very well. How can I get rid of this nuisance so that it is not reappear?

If the problem coincided with connecting the inverter APC that may indicate the problem is with the inverter.

Somewhat similar situation discussed in the following link:

    http://www.velocityreviews.com/forums/t527369-APC-ups-USB-as-unknown-device.html

Your situation sounds similar as "Information system" leading the 'problem of the device' has an error Code "this device is working properly" but still "unknown device".

I would say to detach from the APC UPS of the computer and uninstall any software related.

Restart the computer and see if the "Unknown device" problem resolves.
