Generated 10 error code when Device Manager does not have enough information or error that spread upwards by device drivers is not recognized by Device Manager. In addition, this error may occur if one of the pilots who needs the unit does not start. If multiple drivers are used by a particular device, it can be difficult to determine which failed.

or if you get an I/O device error message, this problem may occur when Windows tries to use a transfer mode that can not use your CD player
    RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, change the transfer mode for your CD drive in IDE channel properties. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click on manage.
    2. under the (Local) computer management, click Device Manager.
    3. in the right pane, expand IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers.
4 right-click the channel where your CD drive is connected, and then click Properties. In general, this channel is secondary IDE channel.
    5. in the Advanced Settings tab, in the zone transfer Mode for the device that represents your CD-ROM drive, click PIO only. As a general rule, this device is device 1. And then click OK.
If the problem is not resolved after you change the transfer mode for the secondary IDE 1 channel device, your CD drive should not be located there. Use the same procedure to return to the DMA transfer mode if available. Then, repeat these steps to change the transfer mode for IDE devices in the following order until the problem is resolved:
    Primary IDE channel, device 1
    Secondary IDE channel, device 0
Channel IDE primary note, device 1 is connected to your boot disk. It's the hard drive that contains your operating system.

    hope that fix you :)

  • Driver problem (code 37)

    Hey everybody!

Whenever I plug to the USB port on Texas Instruments evaluation/development cards, I get the following message:

Windows cannot initialize the device of this hardware driver. (Code 37)

I tried to restart my computer, uninstall/reinstall the drivers, windows manually to the folder on the drive (in the folder to install the software that came with the hardware products) and nothing works. I'm guessing that the problem is with my computer/Windows because none of the other users of the products reported similar problems.

Also a few days ago I pluged in port nine disc WD external hard USB, the whole computer just crashed and now it does not recognize it when I plug. It works fine on another laptop which is another reason why I think that the problem comes from my windows/PC.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    I run Windows 7 on a Toshiba Satellite L555.

Journal of aswMBR (thanks, by the way) he demonstrated a hidden service (driver seems to be probably loading at startup). In addition, given that you tried to run HJT and he you prevented of doing so, noting that the defined admin of strategies (you yourself clearly did not), it's as if my analysis is correct and that you are infected with a rootkit.

My expertise is not analyze/debug, the malware removal by all means. That being said, I myself can give you adequate removal instructions. I can say that TDSSKiller will probably show the rootkit and be able to remove it, but using TDSSKiller and remove a rootkit can sometimes according to the rootkit make your operating system a non bootable Clipboard.

What I would do if I were you? Honestly, just wipe the OS and on foot. You can remove the rootkit? Maybe, but you're in great danger after that, and when you have a rootkit MBR-based, he's bad and leaves a lot of problems behind.

Alternatively, since it is your best and your choice try to remove it and perhaps even with the help of our experts/MVP security is there (in the right forum, of course).

    To you and to think!

    Kind regards

    Patrick

  • Portege M200 error - CD/DVD drive problem - Code 39

I have a problem. I would like to perform a recovery on my m200 Tablet System.

I have a dvd external drive (as the m200 has not built into the player) and the correct recovery disk.
However, because of a problem that occurred some time ago, there is a problem with the driver (+ Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device.

The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) +), and so I can't start the recovery.

If someone knows a way I can fix the driver, or another way to perform a system restore, it would be extremely useful!
A solution to the problems of one or two would be great.

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

    > The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) +), and so I can't start the recovery.
Are you sure about that? This code appears in running the operating system but recovery doesn't run under the operating system currently running.
Please try to start the recovery procedure and let me know exactly what is happening.

    Hello

It is my first request for assistance.
My CD/DVD drive is most recognized, and when I go to Device Manager and click on CD/DVD I'm informed that the cdrom.sys file is there but cannot be loaded.

An error number 39 is reported.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, but please keep things simple to the actions of a single line if possible.

Of course, you can get a few tips ;)
I think you might find faster if you are looking for first in the forum, but I'll try to help you too.

He error code 39 is very common issue and can be resolved easily.
See this MS knowledge base article:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/314060/en-us

So first of all remove the CD/DVD drive device manager.
Then access the registry using the regedit command and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Reboot the laptop and wait until the CD/DVD drive has been installed again.

    That s it. ;)

  • Driver problems - code 28

    I have windows 7 PC

All of a sudden my computer has decided that my ipod nano is not all drivers.

I tried to reinstall iTunes, reset the ipod.  Passed through the Device Manager and asked to look for the driver.

I have an another nano (which has a screen cracked so I do not use it) which connected perfectly.  So I assumed the problem was with the nano itself.  However, I have it plugged into a laptop and it was fine.  I took the opportunity to do a factory reset - but my PC still is still insisting that there is no drivers

I have also a kobo which insists my PC there is no drivers for (but it connects very well to a laptop).

So I think that the problem is probably my PC but I have no idea how to solve this problem.  I'm not particularly good with computers, but if anyone has simple solutions, I would be grateful.

    Hello

    Please contact Microsoft Community.

I appreciate for troubleshooting, you have tried so far. I understand that you are unable to connect your IPod nano on Windows 7 laptop is not detecting. The error code that you mentioned a code 28 usually when there are some problems with the drivers of the computer or equipment.

To understand the issue correctly, I need more information:

    1. What is the brand and model of your laptop?
    2. You did it changes on your laptop before the show?
    3. What type of USB port you use to connect to your laptop?
    4. What generation IPod nano you use?

As a solution, I suggest you to install the Windows updates, including optional updates and check if that helps.

You can also contact Apple support.

  • Satellite L500 - 1CQ PSLS0E - CD/DVD drive does not work - driver problem?

    Hello

My DVD player does not work.

There is power to it. The engine turns when I eject and reinsert. Troubleshooting Control Panel for the equipment and devices said it is a driver problem, but cannot fix it. Problem with the driver.

I reinstalled it from the Toshiba site.
It records in the right place?
I am Windows 7 64 bit and chose the right driver for it.

    Should I use the 64-bit?
I have 3 MB of RAM which was the spec when bought.

If I wanted to change to 32 bit how you take you without the CD/DVD drive?
Is there any point in doing this?

    Thank you

    Richard

    Hello

To be honest I m a bit confused.
You are not able to boot from THE disks; Windows disk, disk recovery, disk Linux?

If it of the case, then it means that your CD/DVD drive is faulty.
Why? Because the CD/DVD drive is recognized and controlled by the BIOS when booting from CD or DVD.

When the Windows operating system has started, the CD/DVD drive must use the Microsoft common driver which is part of the Windows operating system.
This means that you n t need to install ALL the drivers in order to get the job of CD/DVD.

If you can boot from any disk, but if the CD/DVD drive is not recognized by MY computer, then I recommend this:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/270008/en-us

Before you remove the upper and lower registry filters, remove the CD/DVD drive in Device Manager and then go into the registry and remove the filters. Restart the unit.

    Good luck

We organize a Dos based Windows 98 application and I need to find a driver for the integrated parallel port. The motherboard is an ASUS P5GD2-TMX/S.
