• Impossible to get CS4 to work on the new iMac with the Mavericks

  I just bought a new iMac running the Mavericks and used Migration Assistant to migrate my old iMac. (I did twice!) Since then, I am unable to use CS4 on my new iMac. He asked my serial number that I type in but keep get a big red X next to it :-(

  I disabled CS4 from my old iMac, including the removal of the serial number.

  I downloaded and installed Java for OS x

  I followed solutions 1 and 2 on http://helpx.Adobe.com/x-productkb/global/error-licensing-stopped-Mac-OS.html

  Solution 1 resulted in nothing (there was no FlexNet folder in my library or anywhere else on my computer)

  Solution proposed 2 download the licenses Adobe, but the LicenseRecovery111.dmg file repair utility was not recognized, so does not open so it's not very useful!

  Solution 3 suggests repair disk permissions - as this is a new download of the Mavericks, I have not tried it yet

  Solution 4 suggests reset the permissions on the folder of FlexNet Publisher licensing service (Solution 1 suggested to delete it in the Library/Preferences folder and yet it is now apparently in the folder/Library/Application Support!)

  Solution 5 suggests reset permissions on the Adobe PCD folder - there isn't one on the new or the old iMac!

  Solution 6 proposes to delete the cache.db - journal in the Adobe PCD folder - see above

  Solution 7 suggest re-formatting the drive in a file system that is not case sensitive! Not really inclined to do

  Solution 8 - reinstall - new iMac doesn't have a DVD drive then how so I do? No doubt it will not solve the problem in Solution 7 anyway?

  Solution 9 - contact Adobe support - I did and spent some time on the chat with them that to say that I don't a not qualify for their help and to go to the forums

  I have searched the forums and tried various suggested corrections but no luck.

  I have a new Satellite U500-176 but impossible to get the HDMI to work on a TV or monitor.

  Usually, when the monitor is connected and I press Fn + F5 I get only the 1 option (LCD).
  Occasionally, the HDMI options work but when I select one it goes to the screen and runs successfully for a few seconds then automatically returns.

  Was - this operating system preinstalled by Toshiba?

  Please take a look in the BIOS. There should be HDMI settings. Please check if it is enabled.
  In addition, I would recommend checking the graphics card driver update.

  We can not get any alerts when data collection is stopped in foglight 5.6.4. We see agents is good condition even if the agents are stopped (it shows not all X in agent status icon) and we are unable to get alerts when the server is down or not.

  Could you please help me on the cartridges and what rule is needed for this.

  As far as I know, Foglight doesn't have the ability to alert if the data shall be adopted by the agent.  After all, the officer still works, at least according to the system, so no problem.

  Regard to the Foglight Server being down, you can try the Agent Manager customers disconnected rule.  There is an article entitled Using Foglight to monitor itself (http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/performance-monitoring/foglight-administrators/w/admins-wiki/5929.use-foglight-to-monitor-itself) that tells you how to monitor Foglight himself, but I don't know if that's actually what you want.

  It is probably a virtual machine that is not handled by a server view connection? You should create/change the following registry setting power (this would be automatically updated if you were using a CS):

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VMware \VMware VDM\Node Manager\DisconnectLimitMinutes, Inc.

  The value-1 means immediately, a value of 0 means never. Positive values are the number of minutes to wait after the disconnection occurs.

I seem to be impossible to get a substring of the URL - the String.substring (int, int) method does not appear to return the expected results. It seems that other methods of strings (such as the indexOf (String)) seem to be operating on the chain of substring returns a part, rather than on the chain saw when the url is printed in its entirety.   There is little of the magic that is you fool. Basically, if you change out.println () System.out.println () you will see TWO URLS begin with satellitescheme: / /. What is happening, this is the URL which are produced by the ISU Sites still are built with a satellitescheme://...#satellitefragment. Then, what is Server RHN Satellite will process the result and replace the strange chain with one that fits your URL assembler (and in this case, you use the GSF assembler).

  In your code of substring, you are breaking the special chain and are cutting the encoded URL. RHN Satellite Server does not see the prefix and the suffix combined, so it does not have to make the substitution.

  That's why Your ' e see what see Your ' e.

  A big question is however, why you try to process the URL generated by the API. I guess that sort of substitution will happen, but that should not be done. What you trying to do? I'm sure we can find the right way to achieve your goals.

  I have the correct settings, but it did not work. I type 's' and I get a long list of emails and no not the one where the sender has a name starting with a S.

• Impossible to get a new SSD to start

  My iMac 2009 HD is dead, but I had a Time Machine backup. I replaced with a new 1 TB SSD HD death and thought I just plug the TM backup and start over. Well... I guess it doesn't work like that. I tried searching the net and found instructions to supposedly solve my problem, but they have not worked. I tried to start up taking Cmnd R, but that has not worked. I'm sure I have no CD from when I bought the iMac to my boss, while the option is out. I have an old iMac (predecessor of it) that I used as a system until I could get it fixed. I "think" I inferred that I can copy somehow the OSX from the old machine, I used it on my external hard drive which has my TM backup on it. So I think I somehow transfer that to the new SSD. Is that guess correct? If so, how can I get the operating system on the external hard drive (shouldn't it already be there as part of the TM backup?). So, how do this OS on the new SSD?

• G700 dead battery, charge light not seeing when it is plugged

  Recently, the power adapter for my G700 Lenovo has been damaged and I had to order a replacement. In the meantime, my laptop battery died.

  My replacement came in the mail today and I plugged in the charger and waited for about 10 minutes. Then I noticed that the charge LED is not on. I tried to boot the system, but the power LED blinking for a quarter second before he died quickly.

  My hands are a little tied because I can't turn on the laptop and see if there is a problem with the battery, but I suspect that the problem lies in the plugin for free (for the laptop, no wall) in all cases. Can I do to solve this problem? As far as I know, the warranty has expired.

  I appreciate the answers I can get in this regard.

  UPDATE:

  I discovered that it was after a bit of work.

  I tested the voltage on my power adapter to ensure that it did not work properly, which is fortunately. Then I carefully disassembled the laptop (I don't recommend this if you still have your warranty of course) to get to the power supply. I then removed and tested the voltage. He reads very well held still but slight jostling dropped the result to 0 indicates a bad connection.

  Now I guess I need to know where I can get a replacement part. At least it wasn't the motherboard!

  I have the cell load, voltage, and input thermocouple connected to a cDAQ-9172. My sensors entries have been scaled and verified in MAX, and all of them work.  DASYLab 13, the driver is "dcDASY.dll" and the hardware configuration is "NI MAX.

  When I add a task NEITHER-DAQmx Analog Input (that is, a set of scales) it appears correctly. If I add a second channel of the task and select it, I get this message:
  'Channel of task name saved with the module is not available. DASYLab resets the module parameters for usable first channel name task. »
  The name of the task remains the same for each new channel I have Add. If I change the name of the task by using the tab to the drop down menu, it says:
  "You have configured several ways out for the module. If you modify the task, you lose the settings. You want to change the task? »

  You can't perform different tasks (continuous) HERE on a single chassis. The first tasks that starts will be 'the resource booking '.

  Combine the AIs of the various modules in a single task (see photo): start by creating the task of thermocouple.
