Brand new EA4500 - no strip of 5 GHz after several reboots?

I set up my new EA4500 last night and set up the bands 5 GHz and 2.4 Ghz with separate SSID (as recommended). While I can see the 2.4 Ghz band with all my devices, I don't see the band 5 GHz with any of them.

I followed the advice given (including the display settings) on the EA4500 FAQ:

The references to the article that "If your wireless 5 GHz network is not listed, try to unplug the power cord from your router and then reconnect it after 10 seconds."

Do that * many * times and still nothing. I have a capable dual-band adapter Netgear RangeMax WNDA3100 Dual Band Wireless-N adapter, I know works on 5 GHz (because I had to work on my old WDNR3700v1 dual-band). Similarly, I have PC seated less than 20 feet away who have previously been able to see the band 5 GHz on my old router, but are now unable to see it on the EA4500.

Is this a known issue? There is no update available firmware, so I am at a loss. Hate to have to return after a day...

Try to configure a unique SSID on the 5 GHz, without wire - only band. no security, choose a lower channel (36-48). Make sure that the SSID broadcast is turned on.

If you still don't see not the band 5 GHz SSID on any of your devices Band 5 GHz, I would say that the EA4500 is faulty...

    Hello. Just bought an adapter nine WUSB6300 that I read on the forums that it is reliable and certified WiFi.

    I currently have an ASUS RT-AC66U dual band Router router and one adapter dual band ASUS USB-AC53 at home for my desktop running Win10, but I had dropouts and I couldn't connect to 5 GHz 802.11ac properly.

Then I plugged the adapter on my laptop, which has Win7 and I had the same problem, no visible 5 GHz network. I tried different drivers from Linksys - without success. I could see and connect to the network 2.4 GHz, no problem.

    The last thing I'll do, I'll try with another router, before I send it for replacement. But before that, I thought I'll ask the question here: have you had similar problems with your adapter or do you think mine is DOA?

    This is how it works:

    1. When you turn on your laptop, if your battery is more than 95%. you will get the message "connected but no charging current.

    2. When you turn on your laptop, if your battery is less than 95%, you will see the message "blocked and charge" until the battery reaches 100% (not 95%). That is why sometimes, even if you see that your battery is at 97% and load, this means before starting your laptop, the battery was less than 95% and reached 97% since then.

    Apart from the above explanation it seems some problems with the mentioned error. So, try the following steps as well.

    1. click on Start and type device in the search for field, and then select Device Manager .
    2 expand the category of batteries .
    3. under the batteries category, right-click in the list of Microsoft ACPI compatible with battery control method and choose Uninstall .
    WARNING : do not remove the Microsoft AC adapter driver or any other compatible ACPI driver.
    4. on the taskbar of the Device Manager, click on Search the hardware changes .
    You can also select Action > search the hardware changes .

    You can use any DVI monitor DVI port directly or have any VGA monitor with the power that you adapter. A HDMI monitor might work with an adapter DVI to HDMI in a pinch, but HDMI tends to be more fickle.

    The IMEI number is printed on the back of the phone, unless it's an iPhone 6. You can also find the serial number by eject the tray of the SIM card on the right side of the phone (insert a paper clip or similar object into the hole). It is in very small print at the bottom of the status bar.

    It should also be in the box the iPhone provided in if you bought Apple or an authorized dealer.

    Of course, you can use this disk to upgrade. you have the same machine that one use this old drive and install the upgrade on the same way as on the old machine.

    The magic keyboard requires OS X El Capitan 10,11 or later version. That is printed on the box and said in the Apple Store online, just as it is for the Magic Mouse II. If you still use OS X Maverick and remains adamant about not upgrading to El Capitan, then just take the keyboard for a refund.

    You must contact the HP Customer Support directly so they put you in contact with HP Tech Support to see what they can do on the diagnosis and repair of your machine remotely.

    I did recently, and HP technology was able to remotely access my PC on the Internet and to make the necessary repairs.
