BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER Windows 7

I'm having a BSOD with error BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER on a Dell XPS M1530 running Windows 7. It seems to happen when I'm on the internet.  It creates a minidump file each time.  I have no USB device connected when this happens. This has happened in recent weeks.

The minidump files that display the stop error message BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER (fe) is caused by the RapportKELL.sys.

The RapportKELL.sys, which is dated October 3, 2010, is a driver of Trusteer report software.

The process hangs is the RapportService.exe.

Same error and cause reported in the following thread:

http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7repair/thread/88143e8a-A301-48C8-9ca1-7523ec6f2528

Try to update the Trusteer report software, change the settings as shown here by jcj1000 or if necessary, uninstall it.

The BSOD is caused by the pccsmcfdx64.sys.

Go to the bar at the top (under 'organize') and 'Uninstall a program' right click 'Name' and make sure 'Publisher' is selected.

The uninstall what either left with "Nokia" as a Publisher, such as 'PC Connectivity Solution' and any Windows Driver Package.

    Hi there @reCATcha1

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff.

I understand that you have found an error on blue screen BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER. I'm happy to help you.

Have you tried to scan your system for what as malware, viruses etc?  If you do not I would recommend doing this first and as a result, clean your system.

If you know approximately when the problem started, you can try to do a system restore to a point before it all started.

Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 7)

Otherwise, I recommend you back up the contents of your hard drive and then look at the system recovery, I would start with just the drivers, and if it does not help, then a factory restore.

    Thanks for your help!

The minidump file showed a BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER (fe) error caused by the stop usbhub.sys:

    BUCKET_ID: 0xFE_usbhub! UsbhTrapFatalTimeout_x9f + 28

The usbhub.sys (by default the USB hub driver) is a Windows system file, but it is quite possible the problem is a third-party driver or hardware related.

What I would say, is to update the wireless driver by installing the next update:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/WC/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-62508-1&CC=US&DLC=en&LC=en&os=2093&Product=3652100&sw_lang=

I would also, at least temporarily, uninstall Daemon Tools as his driver, the dtsoftbus01.sys, has been known to cause problems in some configurations.

You also have to install the following hotfix that should update the USB stack:

If the problem persists can provide you with the files minidump resulting.

HINT check the 'cause' however keep in mind that the given driver as being the "Cause" could have been

  • Bugcode_usb_driver BSOD on the new laptop computer

    Hi all

I just bought a new laptop Sony VAIO with Windows 7. No complaints whatsoever, it is a wonderful machine, but a problem has arisen in recent days. After a few days of use, a BSOD appeared randomly. Two days later, same story. It seems to be no direct cause of the problem, it happens completely randomly and without no warning sign whatsoever.

    The error code is:

    Signature of the problem:
    Problem event name: BlueScreen
    OS version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3

It says on the BSOD bugcode_usb_driver. I searched the Web but from what I can tell, there are many different cases that lead to this BSOD. I downloaded two minidumps of accidents (they are identitical) at the following ADDRESS:

I hope this link works :-)

    USB devices up to now:

    -External HARD drive

Earlier, I downloaded a new driver for the gaming mouse, but I doubt that will fix this, so any help is very appreciated!

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello

Since this is a new machine, you should get the seller and Sony support involved for replacement
and/or claim under warranty. If the cause is hardware that is more than likely to worsen if other USB
and maybe the other material is affected. Keep in mind the do more you to try to fix the most
They will argue that it is something that you have done for him.

  • Several bsod after clean windows 7 installed

Hi everyone, I was hoping to find a solution to the crashes in my computer, still, I was not very successful.
I changed my cpu and ram, motherboard after getting several bsod, especially whenever I tried to use the internet, but it seems to change my material wasn't the answer. I have a clean install of windows 7 Ultimate edition, and the problem will still...

My physical characteristics are: Intel core i3-4330 cpu, 4 GB of RAM, nvidia geforce 250 gts and my motherboard is a MSI H81M - E33 V2.
    The bsod I get is: Page_Fault_in_non_paged_area; Kernel_mode_exception; Bugcode_usb_driver; Irql_not_less_or_equal; Bad_pool_header
and someone without description, it only shows numbers.
If someone is willing to help me I would be very grateful.

BTW, I noticed there are some older drivers such as the driver Atheros WiFi dated dated 2007 which
should be updated as I mentioned above.

    Drivers Atheros WiFi.

DriverView execution - set VIEW to hide Microsoft drivers - update those without DRAIN in their

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on
your system. For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed:
load address of the driver, description, version, name of the product, the company that
    created the pilot and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit system Maker as replacements and manufacturer device which are the
most up-to-date. Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapter - write it down
and complete the model of your video - double click - tab of the driver card-
Note the version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this can do nothing
that MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT it
    will update the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard
If there are 3rd party with their own software and drivers and the other main device drivers
    you have.

Now, go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restore)
and site (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get the manufacturer and device
their latest versions. (Look for the system to update the BIOS, Chipset and software updates
    Site of the manufacturer here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN -.
    REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you are
installation actually appears. This is because that some rollback of drivers before the
later is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so to install a driver - restart
-check that it is installed and try again if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW to the device makers DO NOT RUN THEIR
SCANNER - check manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Please can anyone advise me on what to do next. Thank you in advance.

Good news, the problem seems to be fixed. I'm not sure what fixed it exactly, but I took the following steps:

Tried reinstalling several drivers (including realtek audio) on dell site
Updated BIOS of the dell site
Powered down and checked the internal connections including the removal and replacement of RAM

Will mark the thread as solved.
    Thank you for your help.

If it was your intention with this tool to recover a deleted file to non-system, try using a file instead of system restore recovery program.
