    Hello

In addition to the fact that you can boot from the Toshiba Recovery CD, I think that it s a problem of training material
I think it's a matter of calibration of lens readers possibly the lens can not calibrate correctly in the right position of s, and this is why the drive can't handle the inserted media.

This could be the worst case, because this fault is repairable by replacing the drive.

  • Combo DVD - RW drive won't burn a disc

All of a sudden yesterday after burning DVDs my DVD - RW combo drive won't burn a disc. I tried to run the Microsoft patch for CD DVD stuff and he said:

    Hi Mkadv,

    ·         Have what Microsoft Fixit you tried?

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: CD-DVD combo drives have two lenses to write CDs and DVDs, respectively. First check with the manufacturer of the computer if the glasses are intact.

Method 2: To diagnose and repair problems with your CD or DVD drive when trying to read or burn media automatically.

2 have you tried burning the disc manually?
    3. What is the exact error message you get?
    4. were there any changes (hardware or software) to the computer before the show?

Previously, reinstall WMP (Windows media Player), you try to burn manually.

Note: Yes, you can install Windows Media Player 11 from Microsoft, even if it has been installed by Dell. No, you do not have to remove the previous Windows Media Player 11, that it will update after you download and install from the link mentioned above.

    Hope that helps.

    Burn a CD or DVD

Applies to all editions of Windows Vista.
Which edition of Windows Vista do I use?

If your computer is equipped with a CD or DVD burner, you can copy files to a recordable disc. This process is called burning a disc. By default, Windows Burns discs in the active file system format, but you can also choose to burn discs in ISO image format.

NoteYou can use Windows to burn a data disc, which is useful for storing, archiving, and sharing files among different computers. If you want to make a disc that will play in a music or video player, you should burn the disc using a video program or music.

Burn a disc by using the live file system format

    1.

Insert a writable CD or DVD CD writer or DVD in your computer.

    2.

In the dialog box that appears, click burn files to data disc.

    3.

In the dialog box burn a disc , type a name for this disc, and then click Next.

It can take several minutes for the drive to be formatted in the active file system format by default. When formatting is complete, an empty disc folder opens.

    4.

Open the folder that contains the files to burn and then drag the files into the empty disc folder.

You can copy files to the disc folder by dragging them to the disc or to a folder to open disk icon

When you drag files to the disc folder, they are automatically copied to the disk.

Burn a disc using the ISO image format

Choose the size of the ISO image when you need a highly compatible disc that will play in computers with an older version of Windows or in devices such as CD and DVD players that can play video files and music digital. For more information about choosing a disc format, see which CD or DVD format should I use?

    1.

Insert a writable CD or DVD CD writer or DVD in your computer.

    2.

In the dialog box that appears, click burn files to data disc.

    3.

In the dialog box burn a disc , type a name for this disc, and then click show formatting options.

    4.

Click on ISO image, and then click Next.

    An empty disc folder opens.

    5.

Open the folder that contains the files to burn and then drag the files into the empty disc folder.

    6.

In the toolbar, click burn to disc.

The selected files are copied to the disk. When burning is complete, the drive tray opens and you can remove the drive. You can now use the disc in another computer or media. This type of disc has no need to be closed.

    • To burn a disc to ISO image, you will need free space on your hard disk equal to the capacity of the disk. For a typical CD, it is approximately 650 megabytes (MB).
    • If you select the files to burn but decide not to copy the files on disk, you can delete the temporary files to recover hard disk space. To remove the files, open the disc folder, select the files, and then, in the toolbar, click delete temporary files.

  • CyberLink recovery disk utility: can not burn to disc when you try the recovery computer

    Hi all

Recently, my hard drive on my HP Pavilion p6674y was wiped out. I have a new hard drive installed in the computer. I created my own recovery DVDs when I bought the computer first. I started with the recovery discs and all was well until about 70% (on the 2 CD at this stage of 3) and then I got an error "0xe0ef000e.

I then did some research and have ordered the discs of recovery from HP and then saw that I must download and burn to disc recovery disks Cyberlink utility so that the discs work. I have serious problems this CD to burn. I followed the instructions and when it is to the burning time of the installation wizard CD does not burn. It says on the wizard I'm full and there is a 'yes' 'no' and the button "Cancel". When I hit Yes the computer I currently use just restarts. I then try the disc (even if I can say that it's always empty) in my Pavilion and the checkmark never comes to the top.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

    Help, please.

    Thank you

    Hello:

This utility is not absolutely necessary.

You only need if the HP recovery discs do not work on your new hard drive.

I tried to run the file on Windows 8 and it wrong, then I won't be able to help you with that.

While you wait for your drives HP recovery plant to arrive, you can make your own plain W7 installation media and use that to install W7, so at least you can use your PC.

Here is how to do this.  My only review of the instructions is not to activate W7, unless you want to. Just skip entered the product key from the COA Microsoft sticker on your PC case.

You have 30 days to use the program without activating it.

Link to downloads ISO of W7 is below. Download the Windows 7 version that is on your product (Home Premium, professional or ultimate) key to apply.  SP1 Refresh of media files are the latest ISO files.

    http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/14709-Windows-7-Digital-River-direct-links-multiple-languag...

Use the installation of Windows 7 USB/DVD tool to compile the ISO file that you download from Digital River. The link below. You need a DVD or a 4 GB flash drive using the USB compilation method.

Use the product key of windows 7 of 25 characters to activate your installation.

    http://download.CNET.com/Windows-7-USB-DVD-download-tool/3000-18513_4-10972600.html

Then go to the support of the PC and driver page to install the drivers you need.
