By TMS MCU conference number

Hi all

We recorded with vcs several MCU Standing Conference, the source of the telephone directory of endpoint is TMS. I am able to discover and manage all the end points of TMS.

How to display the number of MCU Permanent conference on endpoint through TMS telephone directory? So that users could dial into permanent conference of the directory itself?

Currently, I have discovered all the endpoints of TMS and its appearance on all telephone directories of endpoint.

Thanks in advance!

Bobby

Hi Bobby

Create a new source 'manual list type' less manage sources of the telephone directory. Save and add a contact. Type the conference name, add it.

Now click on the add contact method and write the address you use to dial the Conference. SIP or H323, (E164 alias is H323)

Save it and go in manage inventories, create a new directory and connect the source you just created. Then click on set on systems and select all the systems you want to see this directory. And save.

Every endpoint should now be able to compose this conference through the phone book.

Areas are used in routing when creating the Conference schedules.  You can assign areas after adding points of termination or infrastructure in TMS, or while you are being added to them.  You can read more about which areas are in the TMS administration Guide, starting on pg 46.

Regarding your MCU, if you are devoid of multimedia ports, it is probably the root cause of the problem.  Cisco have added to them, you'd only you you receive the product similar to how you added the activation keys and encryption.  If you go to the Cisco Licensing Portal, navigate to obtain other licenses > license of telepresence to return, then enter the serial number of the MCU.  It returns all the keys related to this MCU option if media ports were purchased, they should appear on the screen.  You are looking for something that says "L-5300-4PL.

  • 5320 MCU in TMS - booking Conference

I have a new 5320 MCU configured and managed in the TMS.  I can create a conference directly on the MCU, add participants, and it will dial a number and join the participants to the call correctly.  However, if I try to book a conference at TMS by selecting the participants and resource MCU, MCU does not connect endpoints for the call.  If I look at the details of calls that it said shows the following.  It's like he is waiting for the client to call the bridge, not the MCU outbound calls to customers?

Participants will connect using this route:

    Customer MOVI ==> Bridge

Hi if it is customer movi you attempt to dial, you must assign the automatic Conference connect and then add outgoing call participants where you type the movi/jabber address manually. You can see the connection setting tab before saving the Conference to see how the call will be set up (if the mcu expectd the customer allowing to switch or the mcu dial out). Customer MOVI has not automatically as regular endpoints generally have for the SCM cannot guarantee the call will implement.

  • Cisco TMS assigns a numeric ID for the MCU Conference Scheduler

    Hey Cisco

I create a conference planner tms 14.6, the Conference is to create, but the digital ID is not available until this conference began.

I need see digital ID before.

    I've not being updated to 14.6 TMS, but in 14.4 and I'd be surprised if this had been changed to 14.6, you can specify a system to switch to the MCU, in which case the address is displayed as below in the screenshot;

or, you can find the address by locating the Conference in the conference control center, then place the cursor on the MCU and you should see a small window showing all the relevant address, as seen in the screenshot; below

  • Conductor create no MCU conference

I see on the call history

On Journal MCU and Traces SIP I see nothing new, but on the driver of the Conference Bridge status is fine

MCU (No description available); TelePresence MCU Enabled, Active. Utilisation: 0%

No idea what could be the problem? i thing conductor to MCU something isn't good.

Your question would be more place in the section of telepresence to the forums where these devices are more actively discussed in the conferences section you have posted in.  You can move your discussion by editing your message and change the categories at the bottom.

It seems that you have either the Conference alias or the defined template to not allow incoming calls create the Conference, which means that only a planning as TMS application can create the Conference using the API of a conductor.

Check the following in the conductor

    • Conference models > [model] > at the request of conference
    • Conference alias > [aliases] > Conference to create

Also, sometimes people forget to have encryption enabled on the MCU and configured the MCU for the driver to use port 5061.  Which can also cause the Conference to fail.

  • a way to move c90 to 5320 mcu Conference

I have a setup where we use the multi-site c90 option. Is it possible to move a video conference live from c90 to 5320 mcu. The reason is that there may be a 5 attending the video conference and c90 can handle 4 (3 + himself). I don't know if one needs for 5 participants before the video conference begins and I have no port on the 5320 MCU to run all the video conference with this

Does anyone know a solution to this?

  • TMS Video Conference MAster API commands

I have a scenario where we use the master setting of Video conference in TMS to try to set some parameters in a room that are controlled by a third-party controller.

So if a site is the master we configure profiles as back camera on the monitor back on the sharing of specific content etc...

I went through the document of the API to find answers, but I can't find what I'm looking for.

When TMS books call all of this info stored locally on the codec before the beginning of the call?  So I could query codec to find out if he was master in the next cal...

I found that the subject of conferences has the info I need, but I don't know how to access it.  I could go in and leave the data I need I think.

My good that process would be to get the call ID once we first booked and updated the list of session on the codec, then go to the object of the reservation for this ID call and parse the xml file.

I know it's weird but I am is my correct thought that there is a file object of booking for each call?

    HI Brandon,.

If I understand your question, you can run the command on a TC endpoint:

    xcommand booking list

This will provide information about the meeting, as well as the following line:

    * r BookingsListResult booking 1 role: Master

If it is not master it will say slave

    Hope that answers your question

  • Cisco VCS and MCU - Conference does not

    Dear community members

I have problems in the VCS configuration to work with the MCU to join to several endpoints in a conference. The components that I use:

    -Cisco VCS control v8.7.

    -Cisco 5300 MCU 5310 v 4.5 (1.72)

    -3 x SX20 end points

I recorded every endpoint and MCU on VCS, but I'm not able to do a conference call 3-way, the only option is 1 video and 1 audio (I disabled the Multisite option). It seems that VCS does not yet call the MCU in the game.

    Kindly help us with it.

Can you tell us how you set up the Conference and how you have configured MCU and endpoints?

From the sounds of it, you call each end point of one of the SX20s, but you must call simply directly in the Conference on the MCU.  If you want to have a conference point to point between two end points and then degenerate into a multipoint conference on the MCU, you must configure Multiway.

  • Join the public network through the firewall option MCU Conference

Hello world! Lately, we have a goal to jabber (without vpn) of internet users to join conferences within our network. Our telepresence infrastructure includes VCS, MCUS and endpoints (MX, SX). I discovered that MCU (4505) has a feature called video firewall option (under license). My question is whether it will be sufficient to achieve our goal? I've also heard that VCS expressway is used. What is the difference between these two?

Firewall MCU option just the second NETWORK card, so you can have one with a public IP address and the second with a private IP address (essentially NAT'ed), and the internal and external clients will be connecting to a virtual meeting room common pre-configured on the MCU.

The VCS-E (Expressway) works in tandem with your VCS - C to offer secure firewall courses. VCS - C is located on the inside of you firewall and the VCS-E is normally in the demilitarized zone.

This allows, among other things, external systems to call your systems using H.323 and SIP URI dial, this includes clients of JabberVideo, but not Jabber client CPU.

For Jabber clients you would deploy normally expressway-e series, see http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/unified-communications/expressway-series/datasheet-c78-730478.html and http://ciscocollab.wordpress.com/2014/01/29/deploying-collaboration-edge/ - whether it will work with your existing deployment is another story, you might be better off ultimately to something similar to Pexip or Acano - both were developed by former TANDBERG/Codian/Cisco engineers.

  • MCU Conference Ad Hoc autodisconnect

    Hi all

Is it possible to disconnect all participants of remaning an ad-hoc conference created by multiway after anyone, that create, to leave the Conference?

Scenario is a person create a conference multiway between 3 conference rooms and after awhile leaving the Conference.

I need auto disconnect other 2 participants.

    Is this possible?

    MCU used: 5310 - version 4.4 (3.67)

    Best regards

    Mesut

    Mesut,

The only way you could do it is by combining the creator of the Conference that the President and the other participants as guests. It is not possible to distinguish between the Chair and invited in multiway.

If you add the conductor, it would be possible in the next version with the use of pins different for president and invited.

  • How to educate the MCU conferences hosted on another MCU

    Hello

We have the MSE 8510 and MSE 8710 MCU. The auto attendant is configured on the MCU 8510.

The Conference is organized on the MCU 8710, external participants connect to AA cannot join the same Conference because the 8510 MCU is not abreast of conferences hosted on a different MCU.

How can we get the MCU 8510 abreast of conferences organized on the MCU 8710?

It is not possible to link the two conference bridges.  You mention that when external participants dial in the auto attendant 8710, the 8710 doesn't have an auto attendant.  Why not have dial and then directly to the Conference on the 8710?

  • Cisco TP driver to an existing VCS/MCU integration

    Hi all

We have environment with an existing MCU and VCS. The customer used to directly configure MCU conference number. now, need us intagrate a conductor of the TP Cisco and move behind the conudctor MCU. This confiuration require erasing MCU config. I need to know if the man any procedure to move configured conferences to TP driver and keep these conferences for this operation?

    Kind regards

Yes, just be sure that the alias that you use for the CMR does not match those created by you using the web interface, as models of the Conference and for the CMR aliases are created in TMSPE and not in the conductor himself.  Here is the TMSPE Deployment Guide, if you don't have it already.

  • Change of dial in number of TMS for video bridge

A user request that the wheel (SIP) number of their session video bridge be a specific number.  After you create the meeting, you can go to the TMS conference settings and change the number.  However, it is not actually change.  The number he has been created with is the single dial that will work.  You can go to the MCU and change there, but it shows that the meetings which are currently spend.  This specific meeting is recurring and not for a few days.

I was curious to know if there is something missing with TMS, that it is not passing the new number to the MCU correctly.  Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

As much as I know there is no way to change a conference number in TMS yourself to MSDS to connect endpoints specifically to something you want.  I tried and got the same results as you, TMS will always use all that it automatically generated for the road.
