If it still shows paper jam and you know that there is no paper, just turn it works, and it should realize that there is no paper.

  • Paper printer multifunction Dell C1765nfw color Jam error 077-901 cover rear

My C1765nwf has an error code of 077-901. I had been printing on paper layer by using a custom setting and a piece is dislodged from the plain paper that he was double-sided taped to. I got the paperwork on the back of the printer, but the error still appears. I guess that there may be a small piece of something in there, making the sensor thinks it is still stuck. I'm almost certain I have every piece of outside, but obviously I can't have.

I ran this test using a forum for a different Dell printer with the same error code ( http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/peripherals/f/3528/t/19260009 ):

' 1. turn the printer off.
2 press and hold the UP and DN keys while turning on the printer. the buttons can be released when the screen LCD indicates "diagnosis."
3 LCD should indicate "Client Mode" and "ESS Diag" (or something similar).
    4. press on the arrow of DN to display "IOT Diag". Press the button ENTER.
5 LCD should indicate "IOT Diag" and "Digital Input"; Press the button ENTER.
    6. press on TOP / DN buttons until the desired DI - xx is displayed, then press ENTER button to run the test.

The test we want to execute is the Regi-sensor test - DI-3. Press the arrow upward until the LCD shows "DI - 3 OFF" then press enter. The LCD display should now show "DI - 3 L 0". If it says "DI - 3 H 0", there is indeed little the area regi-sensor paper jamming. »

    My results show:

    DI - 0 H 0

    DI - 2 H 0

    DI - 3 L 0

    DI - 4 L 0

    DI - 5: 0

    DI - 6 L 0

    DI - 7 L 0

As the forum that I am referencing is on another printer, I don't know how to proceed. I have had this printer for about 4 months, when this happened, but I still had an old printer that I had used before that so I put just this side at a time. Unfortunately, I put her side for as long that the warranty is now expired, but I would really like to be able to use it again. I'm handy with tools and electronics, so I feel perfectly comfortable to try to fix it myself. I don't want to go tearing into it without any direction or knowing what I want even to. Does anyone have any tips for me to move forward? This who should I check/watch next?

    Hello NEITZKE,.

Please understand that this is mainly a forum for user-to-user with Dell acting mainly as a moderator, post answers when we are able to. If you need real-time support please contact Dell technical support by telephone or chat.

About your concern, the error code indicates a failure of the sensor input or debris stuck somewhere, try pressing and holding the AC button for about five seconds. Normally a blank sheet should be pulled thru forcing any debris. If the error persists, your best option is to replace the printer because it is the course of action that we would take if it was under warranty.

    Kind regards

  • Printer stopped working after I removed a paper jam - Deskjet 6988

I removed a paper jam today, according to the instructions. But since I did it, it will not be printed. The power light is, as if it's OK, but he absolutely refuses to print.

My printer is a HP Deskjet 6988 and I am on Windows 7, 64 bit.

Whenever I try to print, the print queue displays the print job for about a second, then he faints. I try to print again, it disappears. Then, if I do it a third time, it appears in the list and stays there, but the printer does nothing.

After two minutes the queue no longer mentions it as the "impression". Instead, it says, "error printing". I try to delete the print job, but it just sits there, saying "error printing". It will not erase. The only way to remove it is by the printer stop or restart the computer.

If I try to print after that stuff all over again.

I tried closing the printer and reboot, restart the computer, power cycling (stopping the printer, unplug the cables, waiting..., plug again and restart).  I ran the Diagnostic Utility and it tells me that it works very well - well, very good for a very large paperweight.  I used troubleshooting via the Control Panel, and he said: "a print job in the print queue prevents other printing of print." But as I have already said, delete the print job does not solve the problem.  I am stuck in a loop of the removal of print jobs and nothing works.

    Help, please!

    Hey Tigger,

It may have been stuck in the diagnostic mode - not able to move forward or backward for a time very long.

Next time, if this never happens again, you can try a Reset of the printer:

Here are two types of reset the base printer:

    (1) if there is a keyboard, turn it off, then on and press on # and 6 (press and hold while turning on the printer).

    (2) without a keyboard?  So unplug that LEAVE unplugged for 30 seconds to a minute.  Reconnect it.  (Be careful with this one - will not shock).

It can become a little more complicated than that, but a basic reset sometimes "will have the printer attention" if it's just "spinning" and nothing else will not physically.

    I'm glad it works again.

Maybe printers receive loners.   The smile.

  • HP 401n false paper jam error

I have a HP Laserjet M401N printer that displays the error "Paper jam" on my default printer but the paper path is clear and verified with multiple eyes, the printer LCD is 'ready' and I can print the pages from the printer config and the printer web interface, but not through the properties of printer or any test page box I have send.

On our print server, the printer is also referred to as "paper jam", and I don't see a way to clear the error message.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks Dave,.

We could always connect to the printers web interface and even print pages of config here and in the reports menu on the printer itself.  Yesterday afternoon, after I posted I have updated the firmware of printers that does not seem to help, and then after I did a factory reset which does not solve the problem BUT, five minutes later, the error of jam allowed in the queue of the network printers and it has been fine since.  You wonder now if a dns flush and register on our print server would have also worked.

    But I'm ready, thank you!

  • Paper jam error

    Hello

Three weeks ago, I bought a HP Envy 7640 all-in-one printer.

It worked fine until I hit a 'paper jam error.

I worked through the step by step manual HP full address (cleaned, checked, rebooted etc.) to fix this one, but nothing helps. I'm sure that it is clean and it is / was absolutely no paper left.

I tried the thinner paper (80 grs.) instead of 90 grs. but it does not help.

It takes a minute or two and it still gets stuck on the "paper jam error".

    Who can help me?

  • Attention kept blinking and nothing happens, not the paper jam (HP LaserJet 1022)

    Hello

I have a HP LaserJet 1022 and when I turned it on, nothing else has happened except a flashing caution light. There was no noise and nothing happens.
I checked a few times for any signs of paper jam, but that's clearly not is why so I took the print cartridge and it has inspected.
The imaging drum (which is the green part of the cartridge here in this link
http://www.Google.com.my/imgres?UM=1&hl=en&SA=N&TBO=d&BIW=1366&BiH=631&TBM=isch&tbnid=ceXkLCzurUwVaM... If I'm not mistaken had to be clean and intact. My Imaging drum has words on it in black ink which is still wet that was obviously left by previous print jobs.
Also when it is connected to the computer without pop - ups nothing displayed on the computer screen.

So this could be the problem of why the printer does not work?

    Any help is very appreciated!

Here is a document that deals with the flashing light in your printer model. It will give a possible scenarios on how the lights on the printer are flashing, Advisor to the cause of the problem and then provide one solution to try to try to resolve the problem. I hope this helps.

  • HP1212nfMFP: Blocking due to previous paper jam printer

I'm not able to restart my printer after a paper jam.   I made all the corrections and suggestions that I could find on the U-tube and the: various forums of the printer.   As all cleaning rollers, pick up pad, inspecting the inside with a strong light and magnifying glass, inversion and shaking the machine to dislodge any fragment of piece of paper etc.

I also recycled the machine several times without a power supply off and then the cycle.

What is happening is that all the above cleaning procedures.  I try to test print a Setup page...  A sheet of paper feeds and jams full length, just as she enters the pickup roller.  The machine hangs and displays a message that says: to remove a paper jam in the paper path area.

It must be a patch to do this, run completely tear the machine part, which I am tempted to do.  Help!

Thanks for your help what they call, but he did waste two hours of my time to discover that 1) HP has no interest to my problem unless the printer is under warranty.  Which they say, until you've dug product codes and serial numbers by standing on the head with a flashlight in hand.  Two 2) database of the problem is completely silent on this issue.  It's amazing given the trivialization of jam printer problems.  There must be a way to disable the short code locking of tearing the printer totally collapse.    Overall, I think thqt I'll never buy an HP product, new given the support of shit that does not exist.  Next, lift the printer on the cliff to the rocks

  • My printer HP Photosmart C310 provided false error message "paper jam".

Line contacted HP support comrade with the focus East India, after asking the age of my printer, has reported that the pilots had "expired", saying they were only good for 1-2 years and offered to fix the problem for $37.  Access my computer, interaction has been put in place between me and yet another person and we have communicated on a tablet of sorts, all in a display cursor through the computer. After several minutes, the problem was pronounced fixed, even if initially, remained the same.  After a video and following the steps of repair (which I had already done several times) jam of the supposed paper - or the message saying that there is a--went, and the printer became indeed useful.

Then the first fellow reminded me that I owed him $37 and proposed to replace my security system with installation of Microsoft anti-virus Norton, a PC cleaner to remove unnecessary files and errors and unlimited technical support for 1 year - for $100 + life - I declined.

Was - this legitimate? A process of aid approved by HP?

I was thinking the problem was somehow inserted into my printer by these people and not inclined to pay.

My suspicion is strengthened by having at the same time received an email from a credit card company, saying that my account has been suspended after too many login attempts had been made.  I had none, and a call that revealed to them that the account had not been suspended.

Operating system of Windows Vista 64 - bit, error message "Paper jam", no change before the error occurred.

Unfortunately you did not deal with HP support.  If you do a search for "HP Support", you'll see paid ads that "resemble" HP support but are actually not of HP.  HP support sites will hp.com in the url.  What I heard some of these HP people today it is not uncommon for them to call you back the next day if they manage to sell you something the first time.

  • J4680 paper jam

I've searched these forums and none of the suggestions has solved my problem. My HP Officejet j4680 continues to display a "Paper jam" error I did everything... removed all the covers, air breath where ever the air could reach, unplugged the machine, sought a flag is raised, etc.. I can't print a test page because I can't get beyond the "Paper jam" error It almost seems as if there is a problem with the print cartridge area, where the cartridges go just before printing (on the left side of the machine). When I hit the OK button, the printer sucks in a sheet of paper about 1/3 of the way and stops with the error again. Help!

It seems that this device has a hardware problem if the unit can not move the carriage along the track completely. There is a document with steps to help fix a paper jam in a J4680 located here.

    I hope this helps.

  • How can I clear the paper jam in my printer

    Original title: Deskjet printer

How can I clear the paper jam in my printer?

    Hello Janet,.

    Let me ask you;

    • What is the brand and model of the printer?
    • Do you have the manual of the printer with you?

The following factors can cause paper jams:

    1. paper loaded properly in the paper tray.

2 rolls of paper damaged or dirty.

    3. torn, crumpled or wet paper loaded in the paper tray.

    4. the access door back or double-sided (duplexer) printing accessory cannot be closed or is not locked in place.

5 paper was added to a stack already in the status bar.
The status bar contained more than one type of paper.

    6. torn pieces of paper from a previous jam are stuck in the product.

    7. the status bar is too full.

    8. If printing on an envelope, the envelope edges are bent.

To avoid damage to the printer, see the documentation that came with the printer to see how to remove paper jams. Function of the printer, and where the problem is occurring, you might want to try one of the following options:

    • Go to the printer, the arrival of mail in the State or the display on the printer area that might tell you where the problem occurred, and then complete steps provided to remove the paper jam. If the printer does not display an information about the problem, check the information that came with the printer. If the printer is connected to a network domain, contact a system administrator or your company support desk.

    • Some printers offer a button that you can press on and hold, or paper feed another option that you can use to try to get the paper without damaging the printer.

    • You may need to open the printer casing and remove the paper that is the cause of the problem. Before do you, check the documentation that came with the printer to see if you put off the printer or take other measures to prevent injury to yourself or damage to the printer.

You should also check if the printer box opening will result in the invalidity of the guarantee or any agreement to repair that you bought or supplied with the printer. For more information on the agreements, check the detail information and manufacturer supplied with the printer.

If the problem persists, use the printer to help manual or contact the manufacturer of the printer to help.

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.
