OfficeJet Pro 8630: ink cariage jam and non-existent paper jam
My printer is a little more than a month and the print head had to be replaced on the first day and was able to print 1800 pages with no problems and now a month or so later she constant ink cariage jam and no paper jams and past every 5 to 30 pages. Also tried each end help on hp.com support page

The printer must still be guaranteed if it is about a month. These printers come with a one year warranty.
There may be a problem with the printer hardware. I suggest you contact HP Support by phone they may have addition resources that could help lead to a resolution.
What you can do, is to use the following link to create yourself a file number, then call and it can help to expedite the appeal process:
Step 1. Open the link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter the product number or select Auto detection
Step 3. Scroll up to "still need help? Fill out the form to select your contact options.
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: contact HP options - click Get phone number
File number and phone number are displayed.

Older than two months Officejet Pro 8630 (> 400 pages) - copies of plate or charger are shifted to 3/8 of an inch on a side. Printing from computers or scanning is centered.
FDP1CN1416AR firmware version
Using tray 2 by default. Tray 1 is used for printing the envelopes.
I found that turning on/stop margin shift and turning on the margins by default button a few times eventually set the output to the centered normal copy.
If the settings are now to original (shift off and default on) the printer now copies centered. Must have been a burp of firmware. If that happens again once I try a hard reset to clean.
I just bought a HP Officejet Pro 8630 and it will NOT print on paper HP Premium Plus Photo or a generic brand of paper photo. I just unboxed and configure all web settings. Printing on plain paper works fine; However, when I place a small load of ~ 20 sheets of paper in the UPPER tray, the printer is trying to load then present and error message "Out of Paper". I can then immediately turn around and put a single or the stack of paper in the upper tray and the printer will print. I tried a single sheet of photo on a stack of regular paper, remove the stack of photo paper and loosening the battery in order to ensure that they don't are not glued together, as well as turn off the printer and the cleaning of all THE rolls by instructional video of HP and it still DOES NOT... (out of paper message).
I got exactly the same problem with an Officejet Pro 8600 this printer just replaced. I had a similar but even more frustrating problem with HP 8500Pro; None of them will properly load the photo paper. I do not know how to choose the type of appropriate paper via the print from the application menu and I tried to choose the types of paper "regularly." No solution worked. I'll take my stack of photo papers to the store chain that I bought the printer since they have the same model of 8630 display. I will then try to print a test them to see if the same error occurs. If it works there, I'll take this point to poor quality HP control and quickly return my printer. If them does not load, I have to draw them on paper photo off their tray, and then try again.
I went back to the store I bought the printer from. They had Xerox 80 lb stock in Tray 1 and it printed without problem. I took a stack of my HP Premium Plus Photo Paper (~ 20 sheets), removed their and mine inserted into Tray 1. It would not load the paper and gave the same error 'out of paper '. Commercial agent has experienced the same problem. She then withdrew the paper except just a sheet of my Photo paper; It is then printed. It prints all the way up to 4 sheets inserted at the same time in the status bar. Any more of 3 sheets caused the printer to fail to load the paper. It sounds like a fault with HP loading mechanism. I noticed that the Xerox 80 lb pound felt slightly thinner my photo paper I have so bought Advanced Photo Paper from HP (66lb) as opposed to the Premium Plus. I took a pile of about 15 leaves for the printer and loaded. It seems to load well and has not failed with an error.
HP... you've had several lines of OfficeJet Pro to do things and it seems you are always dropping the ball with a defective printer product. Where is your quality control?
I recently bought a HP Officejet Pro 8630 all-in-one printer and currently it hooked to my computer via a USB cable. Everything works fine.

Currently, I don't have a cable modem wireless. Do I need to have a cable modem wireless to connect my printer to the Internet? If this is not the case, how can I connect my printer on my existing cable modem?

Your printer needs to have an ethernet port in the back, where you can connect a LAN cable. You will need to connect a LAN cable to a free port on your current modem on the back of the printer - this should establish an internet connection.
I just bought an Officejet Pro 8630 with additional color print cartridges. I went through the instructions but I do not understand where they tell me to insert additional color cartridges. I've looked everywhere but I still can't find where they need to be installed. I installed the original color of 3 and 1 black cartridge supplied with the printer in the tray as shown, but when he got to the extra, I'm lost. I can't find the instructions to install these additional color cartridges anywhere.
You cannot install additional color cartridges, the printer uses 4 ink cartridges (black, yellow, Magenta and Cyan).
Additional color cartridges included in the box are intended for future use, once the original ink cartridges is exhausted.
Hi, I'm very happy with the HP Officejet Pro 8630. I am registered to instant ink HP and going well. My problem is that my printer prints yellow instead of red. IE, write in red text is printed in yellow. It's the same thing if I print a web page for logo etc... sometimes Ribbon appears in green - checked ink - OK - alignment levels heads of fine - print - run calibration - ok all help much appreciated Marcus

I have a new HP Officejet Pro 8630. Through the installation process, it is stuck at the loading paper. I loaded the paper in the upper and lower trays. I checked the trays and cartridges are seated well. Clicking next translates into a printer Calibration cycle - then returns to the loading paper. Help! Thank you.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once completed this document explains How to solve problems of choice with your printer. On my HP Officejet Pro 8630, when I start a print job and select ' without borders on "print 3 or more copies, the first 2 pages of the print job, and then a blank page prints, followed by a good impression, followed with a blank page, etc. until that work ends.
If I disable the option without borders, the job will print correctly without blank pages. I tried printing from multiple computers and programs with the same number and have updated printer drivers / the most recent versions.
I tried printing wired network, wireless network and USB all with the same result. I've had the printer for less than a month.
I use the printer for business purposes, and it is causing the major headaches!
I solved the problem by selecting the Type of paper - HP Bright White... She has been set to the default value of plain paper. I can now borderless printing correctly without blank pages.
Use the same word for Mac 2011 file print envelopes once each month for years, but since I'm the new printer 8630 in August 2014, I get the occasional envelope all black (with a thin white border around) instead of the usual address. I implemented with it to this day, but this month I do nothing will make me normal print - I tried to create a pdf file and checked all settings, so am at a loss to get a result. Help? John

I see that you are having problems printing envelope. I would like to help with that!
I suggest to remove the printer from your printing system, using this document: uninstalling the software of the printer.
Once you have deleted, I suggest to check and repair disk permissions: function to fix the permissions of all utility disk drive.
I also run your Apple updates: OS x: Mac App Store apps and OS X update
After the updates, I recommend reinstalling the e-all-in-one-HP Officejet Pro 8630 Printer series full feature software and drivers.

We have recently moved offices and now we can not Scan to e-mail at work (he has worked great previously).
We are on a wireless network at the office and I can print fine, but no scan to E-mail.
I tried the settings via the web interface, I rebooted the router and the printer, I deleted all the accounts on the web interface and created a new, but it won't always work.
Welcome to the Forum from HP Support. I understand that you are unable to reconnect the scanning to e-mail, using your HP Officejet Pro 8630 e-all-in-one printer. I would like to help. I have a few steps, you can try that may fix this problem.
It is optimal that you have a wireless connection. I do not recommend restoring the default settings of your printer to make sure that all old settings scan to e-mail are deleted from the printer. Here's how:
- From the front of your printer, press Setup
- Touch Tools
- Press restore defaults
This will clear your wireless network, Web services, and other custom printer settings.
Then, follow these steps:
- Connect to your wireless network (run Setup under wireless settings wireless Assistant)
- Tap the copy icon on the lower left below to enable Web services
- If your webservices are enabled you can now configure your scan to e-mail

I have problems printing in the main printer in my office, the HP Officejet Pro 8630. Some work colleagues print to this printer without problem, and others have gave up on it as well. I have no printing problem with HP Officejet Pro 8600 to an office close to home.
I have finally connected to this printer manually, using its IP address, because it does not appear in the search "add a printer". When I try to do a test print, in the print queue of the printer window, it shows its status as 'Impression' for a brief moment before changing to "error - printing".
Honestly I don't know what else to do without disturbing the few people who are successfully using this printer. I hate my work colleague whenever I need to use their printer bug.

I can't find where to put the "quality" of the scans. I checked the Panel for full control of the camera itself but also access it through a web browser. I CAN find where to put the quality of the copies, but I don't want to copy the darker things right if they are going to scan correctly.
Open the software HP Officejet Pro 8630 from your desktop or in the start menu > programs > HP > printer folder.
Click on scan a Document or Photo and make sure that the show preview option is checked, then click on Scan.
