MY PRINTED C310 SHOW INK AND TOLD ME TO REMOVE ALL THE CARTRIDGES AND PRINT HEADS. THEN RE-INSTALL THE CARTRIDGES AND PRINT HEADS.  BUT THE PROBLEM REMAINS.  HOW TO SOLVE.

    My C310 printer suddenly started to chime every 60 seconds or more. No error messages and seems to work correctly, the OK ink levels, and I unplugged for a minute or two, too. Nothing in the user manual. The sound is very regular and pleasant - the first time. Now it makes me crazy. How to stop it?

    I don't know what is causing the sound (this is perhaps without wire connected and lost/reconnect each minute?), but you should be able to turn off the sound as follows: touch the screen to activate it, press the light house in the top left corner if it is not already on the home screen.  From there, press the key at the top right and then choose Preferences.  From there, you can select the Volume of the sound effects and put it out of service.

Print test page, word document and a photo... all great.  Now, a week later, when I try to print what it's that sounds as if it was printing (I hear cartridge move, sounds normal 'printer') but leaves out blank.     Install a firmware update

    Looking for a firmware update that could help solve the problem:

    1. On the product control panel, tap the Setup icon ().
    2. Support on the Web .
    3. Tap the updates .
    4. Touch of the product updates .
    5. Tap Yes to update. The update can take 10 to 20 minutes. Do not turn off the printer until the update is completed. The printer will stop and automatically start up.

    -Do you get any error message or error code when you try to scan?

    HP Photosmart C310 cannot print black. Replace the cartridge and ran clean printhead multiple times. Still nothing. Print head alignment failed. Printer does not turn off with power button. Recycled/restarted by pulling out the plug, count to ten and reconnect it.

    Nothing changes except power button works again.

    I saw your post on the printing problem you encounter when you print from your Mac running 10.11, to your printer Photosmart C310. I have a few suggestions below for you. When you are finished, please let me know the result and we can go from there if necessary.

    First try to make copies of the front of the printer, if the work of copies successfully, try these steps below.

    1. Reset the printing system
    2. Restart the Mac.

  • I have a Photosmart Premium all-in-one c310 printer. It will not print black.

    I tried changing the cartridge and still no black.  I also get an error message when I try to align the cartridges.

    Nothing special, just alignment cartridge error.  Any ideas why my black will not print

    It seems that some of the old black ink can be dried in the ports of the printhead from the C310, nyart12020.

    There are a few steps to help solve this problem in the document below:

    The document led to replace the printhead from the C310.  That's when we could use check whether the printer is IN or out of warranty.

    In case of warranty, then call the HP Technical Support on this printer.

    If outside warranty, then you have two options:

    1. You can buy the print head for a printer C310 from the HP parts store by searching for the CN642a part number.
    2. We can try a step not sanctioned HP to attempt to manually clean the printhead across a dipping process.  Information for how to do this can be located underneath:

    I use the Photosmart Premium C310 on a Windows laptop 8.0 with a shortcut on my desktop to the HP Solution Center software. I'll have no problem with that.

    I'm looking in the upgrade the operating system to Windows 8.1 and I ran a software provided by microsoft who checked for compatibility with my system on the laptop.  He said that HP Solution Center was incompatible with Windows 8.1. Is it possible use a shortcut on my desktop for the executable file as I do now?

    I understand you want to upgrade to 8.1 Windows, but this Microsoft application said the "Solution Center was incompatible with Windows 8.1. I will do my best to help you!

    Now, if you're going to upgrade this computer, you must uninstall the software Photosmart Premium C310. The reason why because this printer has drivers compatible full features for Windows 8.1. Please follow these steps in order:

    First of all, you want to remove all the HP Photosmart software in the programs and features on your computer. Please follow this HP document uninstalling the software of the printer. If this printer is connected by a USB cable, remove this computer.

    Then, I recommend you clean your Temp folder. Follow this YouTube video to help you to here. Now you can upgrade the Windows 8.1. Once this is done, please install the full features on the site of HP software here.

    I'm used to be able to print perfectly in any program.

    Now, I can print from Gmail - or I can print from this forum, however in Publisher or Word, or a genealogy program I use, the Photosmart is not one of the available printers listed.

    When I go to Device Manager, I can right click on all the printers I have and see a long list of options, such as set as default printer.

    But on the Photosmart, I right click and only get 4 options; create a shortcut, troubleshoot, remove the device and properties.

    I downloaded new printer drivers and went through Assistant support, rebooted, unplugged and replugged etc.

    I can't understand this one!

    So you say that you have a border of 1/4 inch around the photos of 4 x 6.

    If you have installed the drivers yourself, I uninstall them completely and download the full Set featured from the link below and reinstall.

    HP Photosmart prem c310 with OS X 10.8.4.     The scan function has stopped working.  I removed the software and begin by downloading the all-in-one driver software on the HP site.  To install it without problem, but the pilot for the sweep feature that used to have an icon at the bottom of my MAC, did not reappear.  I don't find it or it does not exist.  I can't use the SCAN function without going through the application of screenshot on my MAC and I love how that works... its not as clean and user friendly than the driver of HP scanning function.  How to make it work again?
