  I finally get it to work. The most important piece was changing the CF of MS-Access to ODBC Socket data source type.

It must be because even if the data source type CF says MS-Access, it actually uses an ODBC-JDBC bridge, while the ODBC Socket using the method 'old' or 'previous' use of ODBC directly.   Thanks for letting me know. Since you are able to print with the older USB cable, it should not be a problem. Now if you had intermittent printing problems, then it could very well be caused by the cable. If you have a spare a kicking around, you could try, just to exclude.
