Cannot find a home network - G60-630US

I see other wireless networks but not my home network. Turned computer walking several times and reinstalled all both network cards.

Hello @alethea11 ,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that your notebook is not your home network.

Start later.

Powercycle the network:
1. turn off your laptop.
2. unplug the power to your router.
3. disconnect the power to your modem.
4. wait at least 45 seconds.
5 reconnect the modem and wait for it to come back online.
6 plug in the router and wait for it to come back online.
7. turn on your laptop and test your connection.

Reset the TCP/IP settings on your PC:
1. go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
2. right-click on the command prompt icon and select run as administrator.
3. in the window that opens type "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt" without the quotes and press ENTER.
4 restart your PC and test.

It can also help to reset the winsock catalog:
1. go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
2. right-click on the command prompt icon and select run as administrator.
3. in the window that opens type "netsh winsock reset" without the quotes, and then press ENTER.
4 restart your PC and test.

Reinstall the NIC drivers:
1. download the drivers from here , but do not run them again.
2. go to your Start menu/screen and type Device Manager.
3. expand network adapters.
4. right click on the wireless adapter and choose uninstall.
5 install the drivers downloaded in step 1.
6. restart your PC and test.

If these steps do not resolve the problem, try this document published by Microsoft for network management issues: wired and wireless network problems. You can change the operating system with the drop-down list in the upper right of the document.

If you have other available networks, you can try to change the channel of your wireless router to eliminate (RFI) radio frequency interference. try to set it to 1 or 11 (default is usually 6). It will take, as far as possible most of the other networks, the dissemination of the wireless signal. To do this, you will need to contact the technical support of the manufacturer of your router. Don't forget that you can also reset the router completely for a new start, which may be a good idea.

Let me know if it helps!

  • Windows cannot find any additional network / an unexpected error has occurred

I got this new PC Windows Vista Home Edition x 64 SP2 and I need to connect it to the network wireless in my house because that the router Netgear DG834GT wireless broadband is not very conveniently placed for wired connectivity. I have a Netgear WG111T USB wireless adapter which works fine on my other PC / laptop (XP & Vista, both 32-bit), but I can't make it work on my Vista x 64 PC.

I have installed the version of the driver 2.1.0.26 x 64-compatible for the WG111T and the device works correctly, according to Device Manager.

When I try to 'connect', I get 'Windows cannot find any additional network . " While the other PC at home can pick up 3 wireless networks.

Go until the network & sharing Center, then manage the networks without wire, then Add, then manually create a network profile, I get "unexpected error ."

I spoke to Netgear who insist the player WG111T is compatible with the x 64 visits.

I talked to my PC provider who suggested to try the adapter on another PC Vista x 64 to see if it works there. Problem is, I don't know anyone else with a Vista x 64 PC.

I would be extremely grateful if someone can help me before on this one. Thanks in advance for all advice.

    See you soon,.

It seems that the problem was caused by ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite hinder and prevent the correct installation of the Netgear wireless driver. My problem has been cured by following the advice of daouda wire - see http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistanetworking/thread/58716eca-80cb-4555-a1f4-bd4e5350aeb4

  • CNV cannot find variable on network

I start my exploration of the network (NVC) with examples of variables.  Excellent examples.

Using the project of polling stations, I have the program running on a PC writer.  On another PC, I have the player running program.  I modified slightly so that the path of the network would be selectable by using the sample browser project.

The drive cannot find the variable network writer.  The browser popup (where the player is running) is the PC that hosts the writer program.  So it's good, in the sense that it checks the two computers are on the same network and subnet.

But in the browser, the tree is not all associated network variables.  This seems to be a simple problem, but I can't find.

Also, if I run the application Reader on the same computer that hosts the application to the writer, this popup browser detects the attached network variable.  So, I know that on the same PC, writer and reader work.  Just not on my network (which is kinda the whole point!)

Here you will find two documents that I have found useful when configuring the network variable scenario:

Software configuration and firewalls hardware to support National Instruments products

LabVIEW static Variables through Windows 7 firewall

  • WINDOWS CANNOT FIND ANY ADDITIONAL NETWORK (DIAL-UP AND VPN) OTHER THAN THE WIRELESS NETWORK

ehmm I just installed nokia 6600 pc suite on my computer so I can access the internet on my computer through the usb cable. Installation and drivers have been installed correctly. I can access the internet on the handset but when trying to connect to the internet via USB with the computer "I get a message that windows cannot find any additional network." Its really disturbing that I can do to fix this. Can someone help me please.

Even if a USB device, it does not create a new network connection for you.  I fear also that you use a regular USB cable - those connections often require a crossover cable (but more on that later and I guess it should work it is how it is advertised).  Go to start / Control Panel / Network and sharing center / set up a connection or network / and choose the first option (you can also check the main page to see if the connection is listed but I doubt it).  Choose to set up a new connection and follow the instructions - ensuring that you enter the correct settings when it is required.  You should perhaps install device drivers, firmware and or software for the device to work properly - read the installation mode (and call technical assistance from Nokia to help you put in place - they know more about what we do and should be happy to guide you through the process and even to set the settings on your computer until you log - that's what I would do in your before circumstane even of) ask for help here).

To start / Control Panel / Device Manager and check all the new drivers (double clck on them) to confirm that they say that they do not work properly.  Go to start / Control Panel / Add Haedware and have the system check new hardware devices - if it finds, install them (it is perhaps what is missing in this process).

I hope this helps.  If nothiing suggested I bring, don't hesitate not to contact Nokia for assistance - I'm sure they'll have you place and operate at any time.  Keep me in the loop.

    Good luck!

    Hi Ihawktoo,

    1. don't you update the printer drivers for Windows Vista?

    2. were you able to print on Vista before with no problems?

Share a printer requires a few steps.

Make sure you have shared the printer that is installed on the Windows XP computer.

Open file and printer sharing and share the printer.

You can check the following items and check if it helps to solve the problem.

  • Moved from Office Windows 7 from one room to the other and now it cannot find the wireless network

    Hello world

I have a HP Pavilion running Windows 7.

He was hooked through the ethernet in a single room.

I moved it to another room where there was no inflexible access, so I relied on the use of our wireless network.

Now, the computer will not even find the wireless network.  When I have the help, it says "no available connection."

In the center of the network, selecting wireless has a red X to the left of the green signal bars.

At first, I wondered if maybe the computer was in a "dead point" in our House, but I've put a laptop beside him and he found the thin wireless network.

    Any help?

Update: I tried system restore and tried to stop/resume knowledge network locations, but to no avail.

  • 5525 printer cannot find the wireless network

    Help

I'm not good with technical stuff and need help with this problem.  Printer works well before going on holiday - power off, including the CISCO router when we went away--returned and turned on any return, printer will not connect to the router again.

Have reinstalled router without result.  All other computers, phones, etc. to connect to the router fine.

Wireless network test that the MAC address filtering is enabled, they suggest however have checked this and it's not.

Wireless configuration wizard can find the network but it just seems impossible to connect to him.

Please assume the lowest level of technical understanding when you reply!

    Thank you

    Hi K27,.

I see that you are having some problems getting your Photosmart 5525 reconnected to your network after just unplugging a bit. I understand that you have your information wirelessly, but I don't want to set a link here which will take you to our HP print and doctor Scan, which can help you check some things on the wireless network.

Since you already feed the router to bike, I would recommend restoring the default values of network on the front panel of the printer. You'll want to have your printer on the home screen (should say Photo, Apps and copy). On this screen you want to touch the key/tool icon in the upper right corner, then you want to click on wireless and made scroll down looking for default network. Once you click on that it will ask if you are sure and you want to say Yes. Once that is done, I would recommend the router/printer power cycling tips that were previously provided and then run the wireless configuration that you've been already and it should be able to connect at this time.

That should hopefully fix it for you, so let me know what happens and I wish you a nice day!
