Cannot import images using LR4 or bridge.

I'm under Win 8 64 bit, 6 PS and LR4. I can even import images using Win Pic Mgr when importing the computer freezes and I have to restart and shutown manually. I tried running in Win Safe Mode and still the same problem. Given that the images to import through Win PM I'm puzzled by the problem.

What camera?

It is supported by Lr 4?

  • cannot import images into lightroom cc using Mac

everything I try to import images of the map, I get a message that says lightroom could not read image. The card reader works because I can import pictures from another app like iPhoto.

The most common problem for errors "failed to read", it's that your destination folder has WRITE permissions added.

In your LR import dialog box, verify that the destination folder is where you want it to be and correctly spelt.

Then, using the Finder, go to this folder and make sure that your username has both READ and WRITE access to this folder and its parent.

  • some computers cannot acquire images using the PCI-1410

I have a big problem in the acquisition of the images using the PCI-1410.

It was a standard camera (SONY XC-ES). The test of the device is OK with my computer.

I can not get a correct image via MAX. Also, I try to use the file of the camera for that camera.

But it did not work properly.

I consulted it toward the Korea of NEITHER and they discover THAT PCI-1410 worked properly with different computers.

So, I try to change PC. Most of my computers cannot acquire the image even if the unit is OK of MAX.

However, only a few computer works properly. (Work computers are from SAMSUNG. The other

computers that did not work propely, were assembled in the lab.) (I have tested almost 6 computers for this purpose.)

The problem is that there are at least 3-4 PCI ports for our applications. The work computer (SAMSUN) only has 2 ports PCI.

What should I do to select the right computers? I can't buy dozens of computers to test the PCI-1410.

Why is this kind of problem occurs?

Thanks in advance for your advice. (Email: [email protected])

    Hello

We also had a lot of problems in the past with different PCs and the problem came from the motherboard. Since that time, we only use motherboards with intel because we know that labview works very well with them.

It was 2 or 3 years ago, and I thought that the problem has been resolved since then... you know the type of motherboards you use?

  • Cannot import pictures using the USB cable

I have a Canon 5 d Mark III and LR 4.3. I normally import pictures using a card reader see However, I'm on vacation and have only the USB cable that connects the camera to my Macbook Pro. I used it successfully in the past to import photos, but I am now getting the following error:

    2013-03-09_08-34-04.jpeg

I get this if I select one or more photos (there are about 195 on the map right now).

    Any ideas?

Often, this error message means that LR cannot write the file to the location you're trying to move/copy it to, usually because your permissions to the folder or drive do not allow writing. Also, make sure that you have property ot the disk/folder.

original title: impossible to import the videos using Photo Gallery

Whenever I try to import a video with Photo Gallery, I get the message,

    "Importing video.

The video device is currently in use.  Close any other program that is using the device and try again.  If you need to start import video, turn off your import device and then turn on again. »

No other program does use the video device I can say.  I tried to restart my computer, but also a gallery of photos of uninstalling and reinstalling, but I can't seem to do anything other than give me this message.

I use Windows 7 64-bit.  I'm downloading an older video camera, using a firewire cable.

Anyone have any ideas?  Thank you!

Personally I remove sd card from the device and try this way.

Then click on the Start button and the computer.

Insert the sd card a sd card reader slot is available, if you need to buy one,

You can access the SDCard like any hard drive, it is the list, and then select open, do a right click

Manually, copy and paste the files into a new folder.

If it's an older device, you can try the factory site and search for win 7 drivers for the camera first.

  • Lightroom opens not sometimes, and when it does, cannot import images

I have Lightroom CC.  I am extremely frustrated.  I had it on my old laptop, and everything was pretty good.  I have a new computer.  I loaded Lightroom on it.  I can't import my card images CF.  It does not recognize my external drive where I keep my Lightroom folder.  It recognizes the card (sometimes) like Lexar, instead of the previous Canon.  Sometimes the set preview to the point sometimes images not.  I was advised (and I probably should not have done this) to restore the original preferences.  Yes, I did.  Still nothing.  I thought that maybe I didn't have enough space on my external hard drive.  I imported AN image, and he did it very well.  Then, I could not go back to the library.  I'm SO tired of seeing that stupid small circle and waiting, hoping that he'll do something. I have a wedding to shoot in a few weeks and am terrified that I won't be able to download one of my photos.  I'm ready to tear my hair as before the update of Windows (not sure who had nothing to do with anything, maybe a coincidence), everything seemed to work (on my old computer) very well.  Had not really begun to do anything on my new up to our days, when the old one was.  I'm so confused at this minute I don't know what to do or who to ask.  FOR INFO.  I have a Canon 5 d and 5 d Mark IV.  I know that, for some time, the Mark IV would not import into Lightroom.  I had no problems with the 5 d, but now I am.  I import to an external hard drive to a CF card reader, traditionally.  Now, NOTHING works properly, and I am not technically savvy enough to understand or understand have the solutions I've read online.  I'm afraid to try the download of Mark IV, too.  I need HELP!

First of all, make sure you are updated to 2015.7, which is required for the 5 d Mark IV.

Go to help > about Adobe Photoshop Lightroom to see what version you have.

If it's something less than 2015.7, you need to update.

First of all, try help > updates. If this does not work, download the update 2015.7 here:

    Update of Lightroom

After a successful 2015.7 update, you should be able to import from your camera.

  • Cannot import image of PSCC 5.3 LR

I use mac OS 10.8.5, LR5.3 and PSCC.

I sent a picture of LR5.3 to PSCC (via Edit in PS) where I have edited and saved then, under a new name, in the same folder in the LR catalog. It seems okay if I save as TIF or PSD, I get the following message:

    could not be imported copy.jpg

I can choose it SYNCHRONIZE FOLDER by R by clicking on the folder in lightroom, and the image is immediately displayed in the grid of LR.

He is a recent problem. Don't know what I could have changed in the preferences of each application.

    Very grateful for any advice.

I have the Digital Image Standard 2006 Editor on my Windows 7 computer and for some reason, the only thing I can't do with it is to create frames and mats. Nothing happens when I click on this option. Everything else works so I am confused. Any suggestions?

    Hi Kittea,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Communities. The problem description, I understand that you are not able to access some options in editor of Digital Image Standard 2006 application. Before you start the troubleshooting steps, provide the following information:

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         You get the error message? If Yes, what is the full error message?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Uninstalland reinstall the program.

Method 2: place the computer in a clean boot State to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

  • Cannot import images mij

I have lightroom 4.4. today I wanted to import pictures from camera (canon 50 d) mij mij as I have done several times previously, but now it does not work he said: I do not recognize the type. but they are the same pictures as usual all raw. What can I do? Help!

Are you able to work with these files with a few other RAW converter (you can download a free trial of Corel Aftershot Pro or Capture One)?

If so, there is a problem with Lightroom, and need us more details on the error message (print screen etc.).

If not, probably files are corrupted on the memory card, or has been corrupted during transfer. Try to copy again.
