• CANNOT PRINT SCANNED DOCUMENTS

  We use a Scanjet 8200 Scanner. After you have scanned pdf, our HP Color Laserjet 3800dn cannot print the scanned document.

  If you use a wireless printer, if you know the ip address of the printer, put this in the address bar and press ENTER.

  Click Configurations

  Scan to network host management

  Scan and copy are two different functions: to the scan function, you can save scanned images/files to your computer and to copy funtion, it copies and gives you on the discharge papers. Back to your question: Yes, it can create and save files to your computer using the scan function.

  A scan.msi of realization of the problem seems to be very common with a number of different products from HP, but I have not seen a definitive solution.

  The file should be located on the installation CD, and you can try pointing the installer to the correct directory on the CD.

  If the above does not work, I suggest you uninstall both the software you can use Control Panel > Add / Remove programs.  Download freeRevo Uninstaller , and then clean up any remaining traces which found Revo.  Then uninstall the drivers of printer printers and fax machines > file > server properties > drivers.

  After you have uninstalled as you can, unplug the printer from the computer and restart.  Then open your temporary files directory (start > run > %Temp% > OK), just select and delete.

  Now temporarily disable your antivirus scanner and install the HP software.  Connect the printer when prompted.

• cannot send scans

  I have a new HP Pro 8625 Oficejet.  It is connected to a computer via a usb cable.  I can't send a scanned document (pdf or jpeg) as an attachment to e-mail.  I get a message on my computer that the e-mail is identified as spam.   To check that it is not a problem with my computer or the mail program, I used an old scanner and sent images pdf and jpeg as attachments with no problems.

  How can I solve this problem?

  I would recommend a power reset.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

  I recommend also to download and run the HP print and Scan doctor.

• Cannot perform scans antivirus, to restore or defragment

  My laptop using Vista 2008 Gateway works fine with Avast Antivirus: last successful full analysis was 28 December/11.  Last week, I tried to run a full scan, and I had an unexpected shutdown of 8% in the analysis.  A few days later, tried running Superantispyware, and it froze on this file:

  C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.Net\Assembly\GAC_MSIL\System.core

  I had to make a difficult stop, and it restarts correctly.  So I decided to run a Quick Scan of Avast, and it froze on this file:

  C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.Net\assembly\GAC_MSIL\System.Activities\...\System.activities.dll

  Once again, I have had to make another hard decision.  Then I looked up at the top of this file and noticed, it had been created and changed January 1/12 and that coincide with updates Windows that were made at that time.  Next idea was to do a system restore to put the system to the 27/11, in this case a corrupted file came on an update.  However, the computer froze with narrow horizontal lines during this restoration.  Online survey resulted in people saying that you had to do a restore of the system in safe mode, whereas tried today.  It seemed good, that worked, but then restarted the computer it said "there was a failure of the drive during the restoration" and the restoration was not completed.  Diskcheck is then performed, but the laptop seems to freeze 70% into that, after running for 2 hours, another tough stop...

  Tonight, I tried to defrag the computer and drive D defragmented very well, but then the computer got stuck after 1:30 while trying to defrag the C drive.  Then I tried to scan with Malware Bytes and it was humming, 0 files infected, then froze on this file:

  C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.Net\assembly\GAC_32\System.Transactions\v4.0_4.0.0.0_b77a5c561934e089\System.transactions.dll

  So, I can not complete any kind of analysis antivirus/antimalware, cannot run the defragmentation, cannot run the system restore, but other than that, my computer seems to work!  Something is obviously wrong with a file on drive C, but where do I go from here?

  The operating system ended up crashing a few days later, had to restore to factory settings and start installation updates all over again since 2008 to present.  So far, everything is good!

  My printer/scanner C4585 "parse error" reports when it is used from the control panel.

  When I try to scan from the PC (Windows Vista) using the "HP Solution Center" (in a network on a wireless router), I get the report "no HP devices have been detected, HP Solution Center will close now".

  I restarted the network, also managed the HP 'doctor print and Scan' nothing works.

  I checked and printed the HP Wireless Network test report and Page of Configuration of HP network and all reports OK.

  Thanks for your advice.

  I decided to first recharge the HP installation CD, as I could not 'House' HP Solution Center screen. This seems to have solved the problem, as I've now been able to scan several docs OK from the PC. I have not tried to control the scan from the printer again, but for now, I'm happy!
