C4585 printer/scanner "scan error".

My printer/scanner C4585 "parse error" reports when it is used from the control panel.

When I try to scan from the PC (Windows Vista) using the "HP Solution Center" (in a network on a wireless router), I get the report "no HP devices have been detected, HP Solution Center will close now".

I restarted the network, also managed the HP 'doctor print and Scan' nothing works.

I checked and printed the HP Wireless Network test report and Page of Configuration of HP network and all reports OK.

Thanks for your advice.

I decided to first recharge the HP installation CD, as I could not 'House' HP Solution Center screen. This seems to have solved the problem, as I've now been able to scan several docs OK from the PC. I have not tried to control the scan from the printer again, but for now, I'm happy!

    Looks like you are trying to use the Scan button on the printer, that should work.

    When he says scan of the computer, you open the HP printing software that you have installed since the first installation of the printer, and you use the option/instructions HP Scan from that.

    Just received this printer refurbished HP 2 weeks ago to replace the one who had a problem with printhead.  Printing worked initially, but now I get the message "the printer into an error state" when I try to print.  The screen at the front of the printer automatically turns off as well, as he is extinguished.

    I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.

    1. Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
    2. Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector. This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.
    3. Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet (do not use a bar or a surge protector).

    If there's an error message displayed in the menu on the front panel, before the display of the printer turns off?

    I just moved my printer/copier/scanner/fax, E910 Officejet 7500 has on one side of my office to another.  In the process the power and USB cables have been disconnected.  Same USB cable as before, connected to the same port on the computer.<3 meters="">

    Re-installed software CD.   Downloaded updates.  Several files in the HP folder are displayed with today's date, so clearly that something happened with the update.

    Printer is now recognized and will display the files on the computer.

    Photocopier creates copies.

    ... Scanner not scan.

    When a document is placed in the tray sheet or on the glass, "no computer detected" error message is displayed on the HP device.  [Note: this computer can send commands successfully, if clear communication goes]

    On the computer, when the devices are searched and displayed, the HP device appears with any other printers/Fax.  Scanner is not mentioned here - but when the details are drilled for, said that it's in the category 'printers, scanners '.

  • HP 4500 will print but not scan error message device not connected

    4500 impressions wireless fine from my computer.  When I try to configure the scanner it gives message error "the device is not connected to your PC.  I have everything turned off, unplugged the USB and even reinstalled the drivers.  What can I do else?  I have a PC with Vista 32 bit.  Please help me I need to analyze a job offer by e-mail.  Thank you

    I was scanning documents successfully until recently.  I use a Mac with OS X 10.7.5 and receive the following error message when you use HP Scan.

    Cannot perform the analysis because another program has control of the HP imaging device. Try the following steps. After each step, try to scan the image.

    -Restart the program.

    -Close all programs that might be using the device.

    -Restart the computer.

    I tried to download several drivers without success.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I see when you try to scan with your HP Photosmart C7280 with your Mac running the 10.7 operating system, you get an error "cannot perform the analysis because another program has control of the HP imaging device. Try the following steps. After each step, try to scan the image.'.

    Complete the following steps:

    Scrub / uninstall

    • Open the Applications folder > folder HP or Hewlett Packard > Uninstall HP
    • Click continue, click on one of the printers in the list.
    • * Only perform this step if you have not all other HP printers. Hold down the command, Option , and command, while now the three buttons.
    • Click on Uninstall.

    Reset the printing system

    1. click on the Apple icon ( ), then click on System Preferences.

    2. in the hardware section, click Print & Fax/scanning. The Print & Fax/scanning dialog box opens.

    3. make a right click (or Ctrl + click) in the left panel and then click on reset printing system...

    4. click on OK to confirm the reset.

    5 type the name and the correct password.

    6. click OK to reset the printing system. The Print & Fax dialog box shows any selected printer

    Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer deleted can be re-added later by clicking the sign plus (+) symbol...

    Repair disk permissions

    1. on the Dock, click Applications, then utilities.

    2. double-click click disk utility.

    3. highlight your hard drive / partition on the left (by default this is "Macintosh HD").

    4. click on the button to repair disk permissions at the bottom of the window.

    5. once the repair is complete, restart the computer.

    Restart the printer. Now, you will need to install the printer driver using the Apple updates. Click on the link below and follow the instructions on the screen:

    Since my OS has been upgraded to Windows 8.1 the printer scanner prints (very slowly) but does not scan!

    I tried HP Print and Scan doctor, he worked once (clumsily) but not since. I tried Windows ' whatener it is called "but nothing.  It was working perfectly since I the printer scanner.   Now I don't NOTHING DO let's me scan.  and the fix message tells me that my WPA security password is not quite valid (nothing has changed here!)

    I checked the internet, it seems that a lot of people have the same problem.  I don't know if anyone has fixed it.  The so-called solutions are not very easy to follow!  Just as they do not work.

    Try using the wizard adding printer in the Control Panel, printers. In the wizard, select EPSON under manufacturer. If you don't see your printer in the list, click the Windows Update button. It will take several minutes (about 20) be patient, Windows updates the list. You should see a hard drive activity during the update.

    Scanning to a computer or a memory card
    You can start a scan to a computer from the screen of the printer or the software of the printer on your computer. From a scan of the screen of the printer is fast. Before you begin the scan to a computer on the screen of the printer, make sure that the printer is connected to your computer via a USB cable or a wireless network.
    If the printer is connected to the computer via a USB cable, you can immediately start the scan from the printer screen.
    If the printer is connected to a Windows computer on a wireless network, you must enable the analysis wireless in the software first. In the start menu on your computer, click all programs, and then click HP.     NOTE: You can choose to keep the always active computer option Scan and then you will not have to activate wireless analysis next time you start a scan from the printer screen.

    2. to scan to a memory card, insert a memory card into the memory card slot.

    Remove the affected cartridge. Look at where the chip on the cartridge hits drive at the rear of the machine. There are two triangular 'son' which hit the chip.

    They must both be triggered proud of their horses. In all cases of this error that I have dealt with (I'm a reseller) an or both were pushed into the mountain and are unable to flow when the cartridge is removed.

    This prevents the song currently playing.

    The solution? Take them and gently pull the proud once again so that the inserted cartrdige is firmly in contact with them.

    Problem solved! I hope this helps some people encounter this problem.
