Cannot start my Satellite Pro C70-A-159

Hello

My laptop Satellite Pro is only a few months, all of a sudden it stopped. And it does not turn.
No display after you press the power button. Machine is fully charged. Charger is fine. Machine fell still warm after passing on. Is - this problem of fan?

I bought from the United Kingdom. But currently now out of the country. May claim the guarantee. Is it possible to get the international warranty?
Thank you

Unplug the power plug, remove the battery and press the power button for 20 seconds. After having done that connect the power supply only and try to restart your laptop.

What happens when you do this?
Is there a reaction?

A non-technical friend asked me to look at his Satellite Toshiba Pro C70-A-159.

It was a Christmas gift and worked perfectly for eight months two days ago (according to him), he won t boot. Actually, it does, in a screen with no connection options to stop / restart / activate on screen keyboard etc. (reading these forums, is not an uncommon problem).

Safe mode works very well, even with the network. Restore points three last system (one at a time) declining makes no difference. CHKDSK (at the DOS prompt) reported no problems. Gas station (in safe mode) won early that it is perhaps corrupt please reinstall or restart. I put t know how to do the first (and am not sure it s a good idea unless I know it will solve the problem), rebooting makes no difference. Start with logging or debug might be useful if I knew where it connected to!

I suspect it has improved to 8.1 from the Microsoft site, no Toshiba. Before making a full backup of the data, regress of Windows 8 and follow the (fairly complex) instructions for upgrading to 8.1 properly, is there anything else I can try?

    Hi Adrian

I also think that you should test the functionality with the factory settings. Talk with your friend and ask if there is some important data saved on his computer. Make a backup and install original recovery image.

    Here's the brief description - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB2A03ES0000R01.htm
What you can do too before start you is to create recovery media, just to be sure you if something goes wrong. You can create this preinstalled use Toshiba recovery media creator support.

Reinstall the original recovery image and check a bit how it works. You can improve it later to Win8.1.
Here is page s Toshiba on the steps how to do this - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/generic/windows8_1-message/

I think that your friend will be happy when you do all that and bring him back 100% of work and Win8.1 machine.

    Good luck

  • Cannot start the Satellite Pro A120SE-180

    Support the necessary computer startup.

I have a Satellite Pro A120SE-180. I took out the RAM to check how much I had. Then, I opened the battery compartment without thinking about the consequences. Now I get just a power indicator and that it will not start at all.

I can't open the disk drive or get any life out of it. I was running an upgrade of Vista, which was available as a cheap option when I bought with Windows XP.

    Hi Rob,

What might have happened, is that the operating system and a hard drive can have erased himself when the RAM and battery have been removed at the same time!

The only way to fix and doing things is again to send it to a Toshiba service center and get them to look! Also, do not upgrade to Vista - I'm using XP and it seems to do the job the way it was supposed to! I intend to switch to another Satellite Pro, an A300 running Vista, but I will look for someone who can replace XP on it!

  • Satellite Pro C70-B-11 t - need help to improve memory

    Hello

I have to expand the memory of a Satellite Pro C70-B-11 t by adding 1 module 8GB.
The data sheet shows that the laptop can go up to 16 GB.

I can't find the door opens for access to the memory locations.
Should I remove the entire back panel?
    Do you have a procedure?

    Thank you for your help.

Upgrade of RAM on this Satellite Pro is a bit complicated and I think that it should not be done by the owner of the laptop.
Problem is that you will have full access to the locations of memory if the laptop top cover is completely deleted and it should be done by Toshiba service only. In the case that you do on your own, you can lose warranty valid.

Try to contact Toshiba service nearest and ask for help. They can do for you, and I think that it cannot be so expensive.

  • Satellite Pro C70 - B - 12 c - installation of the Package of added value

    Hello technician,

could someone explain how to install the PPV on the Satellite Pro C70 - B - 12 c.
I installed Windows 7 on the new Machine and want to use the utility function key.

I downloaded the compatible vap on the driver download site. In the next step, I tried to install the PPV on the Archive of Toshiba Extractor. If I let install it automatically, I m only get the ODBC Driver-Installation Windows. So I canceled the Installation of the ODBC driver - and start the program installation of archive extracted.

After the complete Installation, the function keys and the utility of the Flash card can be used. But the Flash card utility displays badly on the assigned keys functions. for example, on the keyboard the F11 key shows the power of the speaker function.

The Flash Card utility indicates the Escape key for the same function switch (speaker). After the Installation of the vap, none called buttons work.

I ve tested the function Key Utility for Windows 8.1. But this test was unnecessary.

Thank you very much for your help!

    Hello

Installation of VAP is not very complicated.
You need to download the package.
Save it to the disk (to office) and unzip the package (right click on unzip)

    > In the next step, I tried to install the PPV on the Archive of Toshiba Extractor.
I m just wondering what you mean by install over?

As I said earlier, after a clean install of Windows 7, you could install the VAP. But first this package must be decompressed. To decompress the package, you can use a program like WinRAR or WinZip

  • Satellite Pro C70 - B - 14 X - file TecoACDC.csv created automatically

If you create a folder c:\temp on the toshiba Satellite Pro C70-B-14 X
a TecoACDC.csv file is automatically created (probably by a toshiba tracking tool)

This file contains the values of power and voltage and adds every 2 seconds with the current values.
It seems to be a bug, because the file exists only if the user creates c:\temp and the file prevents more and more.

This means that it will subsequently use to the top of a lot of space.
Has anyone else seen this problem, or got a fix (apart from deleting the folder c:\temp)
    Thank you.

I guess it's a temporal file created by Toshiba ECO Utility. I guess that the extension of the TDCA means mode, while the unit is connected to the power adapter.

TOSHIBA eco Utility helps you monitor your energy savings by showing real-time approximate energy consumption. In addition, it shows cumulative approximate consumption and approximate when accumulated energy saving ecomode daily, weekly and monthly.

I guess that the related information is stored in the temp. file.

  • Cannot start the satellite M35X

    Hi all.

    Cannot start my Satellite.
When I push the power button, it turns on, the blue led is ok but the HDD led blinks 1 or 2 times or it happened when it is not clear at all and put the laptop off, but the power button remains lit.

However, from time to time, it starts up, shuts down load the XP but after 1 minute.

I have reinstaled recently the WinXP, and I did a bios update. Before that, the laptop didn't have this behavior, however, the XP raported me that the hard drive is faulty.
I figured it is something related to the HARD drive.
    What should I do?

How can I be sure that the HARD disk is wrong?

    Hi mate,

If your HARD drive has bad sectors, you must exchange it ;)

For example before doing this, you can check for bad sectors using specific diagnostic tools HDD as Drive Fitness Test:
    http://www.HitachiGST.com/HDD/support/download.htm#DFT
Here, you can download an image file to create a boot disk. Then boot from it and to start the test, it is quite easy! ;)

If your HARD drive is faulty, this tool should recognize this.

  • Cannot disable my Satellite Pro L300 PSLB9U

    Hello!
I don't know what happened, maybe it's when I used a type of program registry cleaner: advanced system optimizer, or a virus my pc infected too: Worm/Autoit.AGW or AGX... but now when I want to stop the laptop, nothing happens.
I made a backup of this registry cleaning and when I restored it, the first time I could shut down windows, but now it no longer works...

I tried to boot from a dvd with xp sp3 and it reports a problem, maybe a virus or a bad hard drive.

and if I have to install xp all still once, where I find drivers Toshiba, utility etc that I need? the laptop is supposed to be new, but it's not come up with any dvd... it's a small store in Mexico City, almost a laptop second hand I think...

    > I tried to boot from a dvd with xp sp3, and report a problem, maybe a virus or a bad hard drive
This may be a virus, because the new installation of the OS would erase the entire HARD disk and you'd get a clean OS.
Maybe it's a hardware problem if it would be a HDD issue then you cannot start the operating system of the s. You would only see an error message that OS has not been found.

You can check in the BIOS if the HARD drive is recognized, otherwise will need you a new HARD drive.

    > and if I have to install xp all still once, where I find drivers Toshiba, utility etc that I need? the laptop is supposed to be new, but it's not come up with any dvd... it's a small store in Mexico City, almost a laptop second hand I think...
The new laptops Toshiba are not equipped with recovery DVDs!
There's a reminder installed on the laptop and it says that you must create a disk recovery first!
Looks like you've ignored it or didn't check this and now you have any disk :(

In any case, Toshiba drivers are on the Toshiba page we because I think that it is a Toshiba model we

  • Cannot exceed on Satellite Pro L450D-12 X BIOS password screen

A friend gave me a laptop to watch. His windows password was not recognized. She asked me to perform a password reset. I tried to get into the BIOS to change the boot order and requested a password. My friend doesn't know the BIOS password.

Than trying to get into the BIOS, whenever I start the laptop, it always goes to BIOS password entry screen. How to start windows log on screen and he asks me the bypass BIOS password?

The laptop model is satellite pro L450D - 12 X

    > How to start the windows log on screen and he asks me the bypass BIOS password?
BIOS password is very important security feature and you cannot bypass so simply.
To be honest, to discuss this topic on the public forum is pretty crazy, isn't it?

Each notebook stolen with BIOS password would be easy to start and data would be not protected at all.

It is unwise to chat about it. In any case, BIOS password can be removed by only authorized personnel, so contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and they will help you with this.

  • Cannot connect by Satellite Pro projector if more than 3-4 m cable

We have several laptops - and we have never had any problems that they might know an external projector.
The length of the cable is normally around 10 m.

Our Toshiba Satellite Pro laptops can only connect to an external projector if the cable length is less than 3 to 4 meters.

    What shall we do?

    Hello

    > Our Toshiba Satellite Pro laptops can only connect to an external projector if the cable length is less than 3 to 4 meters.
It seems that the video signal is too weak and he cannot reach the appliance connected to the end of the cable.

I found this info useful on this page that explains this behavior:

+ A normal PC, notebook or tablet PC VGA signal is not designed to operate on long cable runs. +
+ You can find only one kind of PC or laptop will work with a long cable to projector, and another type of PC or laptop may not work. +
+ However, this does not mean that the second computer is down. +

    http://www.RM.com/support/TechnicalArticle.asp?CREF=TEC333092

    _Solution: _
The VGA signal must be amplified before it can be sent to the bottom of a long cable. These symptoms are all indicative of weak signal problems (or bad wiring).
You should always use an amplifier VGA (active), Terminal VGA box (active) or a switching VGA (active) unit when you use along the VGA cables

    Good bye

  • Cannot start my Satellite P20 - "session3_initialization_failed".

    Hello

    I have a problem with my Satellite P20 932.
I can t boot my WXP more. It comes with a blue screen error message:
    "session3_initialization_failed".

    Cannot start recording mode... nothing...
Is there a manual for the laptop to download somewhere?
Maybe it's a hard drive, RAM or fault of the graphics card, I put t know.

I would like to know how I can change the RAM of my laptop HARD drive.

    Greetings

    Hello

Is - this exact description of your problem?

    > Could not start recording mode... nothing...
This way nothing happens when you press the button walk / stop? Can you enter the BIOS settings or see Toshiba welcome screen?

If you ask the Maintenance manuals that I have to say that this document is not for public use and you will not be able to download.

  • Can not start my Satellite Pro A10

I have a Toshiba laptop Satellite Pro A10. When he tries to start windows, it comes up with the "We apologize for the inconvenience, but windows did not start successfully" etc. I tried all the options for example

    Start:
    Safe mode
    Safe mode with networking
    Safe mode with command prompt
    Last known good configuration
    etc.

None of the options works. All I get is a flow of information about drivers and it then hangs. The last driver in the list is:

    multi (0) disk (0) partition (1) \WINDOWS\System32\Drive rs\Mup.sys

    I can't clear the checkpoint.

Unfortunately, I can't find the disc that came with the laptop, so I'm well and truly stuck.

    Any suggestions?

    See you soon

    HI Leon,

It is quite normal that there is a list of drivers displayed when you try to boot into 'safe' mode However, if initialization fails, obviously there is a problem with your operating system and your only options are to try to fix the problem by using the recovery console (you will need to boot from a CD of original Microsoft installation), or you can restore the original Toshiba CD recovery full operating system.
A third possibility would be to start with a utility such as Norton Ghost or Acronis image backup/restore and restore a backup previously taken by an external device.

The simplest option is to restore from a backup that is already taken, but if you don't then you would be better restore from the recovery CD Toshiba you can get at any Toshiba authorized Service partner.

    Kind regards

  • Error with product recovery. Now, does not start. Satellite Pro A40

    Hello

I tried to use my product recovery cd to reinstall windows so that the computer is in "like -new" condition However, when you use a disk and 25% step it crashed on saying me that it couldn't read the disc. Now, when I try to boot, it says ' Please insert system disk and press a key "I do, but I just get the same message repeated. This is if I try to book it from the cd or the hard drive.

What is my next step, how can I pick up my computer!

    See you soon

Hmmm it's not easy to say why you t could not complete the installation. For me, it seems that the recovery CD is defective.

In any case, the message said that no BONES were found on the HARD drive and the laptop cannot start!
While do I think you should insert an original Windows XP CD and try to boot from the CD. The XP CD should format the HARD drive and install the new OS.

Sorry, but I put t see another possibility.
