  I've got a simple custom UDP for VeriStand receiver device that uses a timed loop. She has an infinite timeout so that I can listen on port constantly. I cancel the deployment every time I cause an error: 307730 Error Message: NI Veristand: one or more asynchronous custom devices did not close properly and has been abandoned by the Veristand engine.

  You should have a way to interrupt your UDP activities to check the system status. Open UDP will create the buffer to the data to be received on this port. As long as reading occurs to clear the buffer before too much data overruns the buffer memory capacity, then you should be fine. Leaving a deadline of waiting-1 loop which blocks it is why VeriStand is having to stop the loop.

  You should have a case of time-out period for your operations of UDP/TCP for the periods of low activity in order to check a channel to shut down the device custom.

• Impossible to copy due to 'too long file name.

  When I copy a collection of folders & files from an external USB key from 1 TB to the NTFS format for a 2 TB drive internal SATA also formatted NTFS, I get an error message indicating 32 files cannot be copied because of "too long file name.  As both drives are connected to the same computer (OP system Win 7 Home Premium 32 bit) I do not understand why?

  I realize that I could track down files with long names and shorten the but they are among the other 10,596 files in 700 Folders & subfolders, the path to the files would be the same on the drive, i.e. drivename:\music\album\filename, they have copied successfully for another internal drive to the external USB drive but won't copy from the external disk to the internal drive of my PC.

It has a funny name [~ t] and no extension. The file type, say "file". The properties are all screwed looking with a mistake on the Security tab, a size of 0 k, is a Windows (c) \Windows\en-US.The other files in this folder appear normal. The computer seems to work very well without any obvious problems. The only problem is my anti-virus reports with a kind of syntax for the file error and indicates it cannot parse this file. I do not. I can't do a thing with it either. Cannot open, rename, move, delete, change passwords, properties, permissions, nothing. It may be necessary for a good part with 0kb.   Hey bud, I figured out how fix it earlier. I am so happy. I came to remember a command called chkdsk which worked very well for various issues, that I had since the construction of my old 2000 Professional machine. I think that one was my first NTFS system. I always liked how well he error correction. Seemed a lot better than the old scandisk.   I believe that if you open iBooks, you can drag and drop books from your library on the desktop of your Macbook. It will export the books as an Epub file, you can install on your Ereader as you normally would.

  I think that you open your Ereader in Finder and drag and drop it in the folder it. At least this is how I do it on my Kindle.

When I tried to unzip the provided catalog with the complete sample application file, I received errors of WinZip. I have determined that the cause of the errors is a too long file name. The length of the path and file name exceeds the limit of 255 characters in windows.

  This can happen for SampleApp as well as for the installation of Oracle BI Apps on Windows due to a setting of configuration and limitation of Windows.

  My opinion is that the Oracle BI PM team really built OBIEE 11 g Linux first and then Windows is a minor version.

  However, to solve your problem, configure your environment as if it'll be a deployment locally to bracts and create a shared near the root folder. Then the em Console merger change the RPD deployment tab to a location 'sharing' and also to adjust the assignment of web site catalogue.

  Thus, for example, on your C:\ drive create the following structure

• Cannot delete the file - paths are too long

  Trying to delete a folder.  He complains that the folder contains items whose names are too long for the Recycle Bin.

  The problem I think is that this folder is a backup copy of an old folder AppData, in which it seems to be an almost infinite folder "Application Data" series - I am sure that these are in fact the links as opposed to records, but there is a huge tree full of them.  At the end of some branches, there are some 'real' files, but then several sub-branches of Application Data files.

  So I guess that when I try to remove the top-level folder, the full path to the way in which the files down is just too long.

  When I shift-DELETE, nothing happens, and I tried to remove it from the command prompt, nothing helps.

  Don't know what to do next.  I want to just get rid of the folder tree.

  OK, well, irritating as it is that there is no apparent way to force Vista to do, I just crossed the entire folder structure and renamed each 'Application Data' folder to 'a', to shorten the overall paths, and this then allowed me to remove the top-level folder.

• Cannot transfer photos from the camera...

  Cannot transfer photos from the camera... Just recently, during the month, Windows XP does not recognize both our Sony A100 camera or card reader when you try to copy photos in a computer file - it has always in the past.  Interestinly, there recognzies the photos and can do a slide show of the card reader or camera, but does not recognize them when you try to transfer using Windows scanneer and camera Assistant.

  From your problem description, I understand that the digital camera is not getting recognized on Windows XP. Please let me know if you do not experience this problem.

  You did changes to the computer before the show?

• Too long file names

  I searched this but have not found exactly the same problem

  I'm on a laptop with Windows 7.

  Recently, we changed our server to be online only.

  This means that all of our readers are now thanks to dropbox or something similar.

  A disc remained in my reader list.

  Initially, I had access to this hard drive, but could not edit the files and folders inside.

  Look, but don't touch.

  When the car started all the information on this drive was transferred to online readers AND an external hard drive.

  Which was not noticed immediately, was that some 150 file names were too long for each transfer.

  I still have access to these files.

  But when I try to open or to copy the files from the windows Explorer, it blocks.

  I tried to copy and paste, line of cmd, and several smart programs and I can't seem to get these files to copy, or even move.

  Copy / paste comes up with the error too long file name.

  I can however copy about 2 GB for other files without problem.

  The name of the file is certainly the question that all other files and folders can be copied to another drive.

  On the copy of the disc it comes up with the file name too long for these files.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated

• Try to copy the corrupted user profile profile settings and I am met with the error message "too long file name!

  I tried to connect to my laptop today and instead of recording in the usual way a message that windows creates new office settings. When he finally connects me I get a message of bubble speech saying I was connected to a temporary profile, I reboot several times and the problem persists. After a little google research, I realize my old profile is probably corrupted... I have not downloaded a new software/hardware.

  I followed the steps of miscrosoft to copy the files from my old profile to a new user, everything in the file transfer went well until the last few files to copy. Then, I get this error message saying "the file names would be too long for the destination folder", only two options are cancel and skip available. Which are useful.

  I do not recognize these folders that are too long (the names are the random letters and numbers), I tried to look for them, nothing is done. And to be honest, I don't understand what that means.

  UPDATE: I decided to copy folder a bit at a time and it solved my problem, that all the files were copied successfully. However, now I was struck with a new problem. Whenever I try to access my files, I get a message that says windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not be authorized appropriate. How can I fix it?
