  I have Vista Ultimate 64 SP2.  During the "update of security for Windows Vista for x 64-based systems (KB967723)" he received the error

  I found a system that works.  One who did not was only to ultimate. One who did was for all the flavors and typing the key to choose one which.  Maybe that's what is staged means (?).

  You can't go directly from version 5.0 to 7.0.5a (E4).

  Please install version 6.2.2 (E4) first and then to the last version of the 7.

  Upgrade to version 7 requires the current IPS to at least version 5.1.6, so if you currently have version 5.0, please upgrade to version 6.2.2 (E4) before the upgrade to version 7.

  But if I install the darabase even dbca on node secondary, all installed and executed successfully.

  But in the two nodes even permissions, user oracle and oinstall group ID identified the same and $ORACLE_BASE and $ORACLE_HOME user owner oracle and oinstall user group.

  A someone has encountered this problem and solved?

  you are using IBM AIX PowerHA for your database (active/passive) configuration. then you just install the binaries 'once' on one of the nodes. then coordinate with your operating system administrator to configure the fail the test scenarios.

  for your question. before you start the database, make sure that there are no "orphaned" oracle process using the UNIX grep command:

  $ ps - ef | grep ora

  Kill the oracle of the hanging of the process to release the lock on the database file handle:

  $ kill-9

  Today, I created a tablespace of cancellation more as undotbs2, and then I went to undotbs2 database.

  Then, I gave the order to drop the undotdb1.  He has successfully completed.  but undo datafile has not been eliminated. So I tried to manually delete the data file it didn't ' success.

  So I stop the database & then deleted file manually

  . After giving the start command, I was getting this error

  of alert_log

  ORA-01157: cannot identify/lock data file 3 - see DBWR trace file

  ORA-01110: data file 3: ' E:\APP\ADMINISTRATOR\ORADATA\UNDOTBS01. DBF'

  ORA-27041: could not open the file

  04002 - OSD: could not open the file

  S/O-error: (OS 2) the system cannot find the file specified.

  ORA-1157 marked during: alter database open...

  Well, your trace file indicates that the above description is innaccurate: you did NOT create an undo tablespace undotbs2, you have created a undotbs2 permanent tablespace.

  You may be able to repair this situation, like this:

  Solaris 10 SPARC 64 bit
  Oracle 10.2.0.1 database
  Upgrade to OS even on the other server
  
  I installed Oracle 11.1.0.7 on the new server and started the new database listener and it is.
  The new database has the same tablespaces that are still on the old database, as system, cancel, sysaux, users, example. So you can see "already exists them" in the below error. And the error you see below is only part of the high, the middle and last part of the production.

  We are to modernize one of our base of databases to test on the method of Import/Export Datapump. We have chosen this method to certify our own spicification. I know there are a lot of ways to improve it, but please keep to this alone.

  Albert - I worked export DP from 10 to 11 where the 11 is a new database installation... it's not hard. You must only make sure that your new storage spaces exist in the size and the name of your source. It will take time to build if you have many indexes.

• Scanner HP Scanjet 4200C: cannot upgrade Windows XP to Vista

  After the migration from Windows XP to Windows Vista I can no longer operate my scanner HP Scanjet 4200 C. I installed the original series of scanner HP 4200C software and plugged the scanner via the USB interface. The software starts up, but cannot find the scanner. After reviewing the HP web page I discovered that HP does not provide an upgrade to Vista; the last update they provide is for XP and not Vista-compatible. Everyone had the same problem and found a solution?

  HP has written drivers for their products, not Microsoft.

  If HP has said that there are no Vista drivers for your printer model, it has none.

• Cannot upgrade Vista Basic to Vista Ultimate

  I bought a CD Windows Vista Ultimate Upgrade from a local computer store to upgrade my Vista Home Basic to Vista Ultimate. Currently, I am not prepared to lose my data by installing a "clean copy", I just want to upgrade. The problem happens after I enter the product key and accept the license agreement and that I can't choose the button "Upgrade". I get a message saying: "could not start the upgrade. To upgrade, cancel Setup, and then choose to upgrade to a version of windows that is newer than the version you are running. »

  To my knowledge, I am as Vista Home Basic 32-bit slot. The upgrade CD is a 32-bit windows operating system platform. The computer and the CD have English as their main language.

  My guess is that the Setup program on the CD does not recognize that the current installed OS is a version older than the one being installed. And so I'm stumped on how to solve this problem. You think that these messages could be a little more specific.

  This is the opposite of what you think; operating system installed is the most RECENT.

  Looking for a difference in numbers/Service Pack levels.

  If Service Packs came pre-installed on the operating system, there is no way to uninstall them.
  You will need to swap the disk to upgrade to a later version that includes the missing Service Pack.

  On your installed operating system Service Pack level cannot be greater than what is on the disk to upgrade.

  Click Start > right click on computer > properties > system > it will tell you which SP you have installed.

• Cannot upgrade Vista Home Premium Vista Ultimate 64-bit

  I have a computer with an OEM Vista Home Premium 64-bit version installed. I bought Vista Ultimate Upgrade 64-bit and when I try to upgrade instead of clean install I not give me the option to upgrade. Instead, I can install a clean install and lose all programs, settings, I have on my system that has taken a lot of time.  Why the copy I bought directly from the microsoft.com site does not my upgrade, even if it is the version upgrade of Vista? I want to be able to do things such as distance to this computer and the Premium version does not allow me.

• After the recovery cannot open database

  Source database version: 11.2.0.2 - where, we had done a backup

  Target database Version: 11.2.0.1 - where we are restored from the backup.

  Restoration and recovery completed successfully, when I tried to open the database with open reset logs I encountered the error below

  It seems to me that you would need to downgrade your DB to do this, since you move of 11.2.0.2 to 11.2.0.1.

  If possible, you should update your 11.2.0.1 11.2.0.2, re-attempt to restore server.

• ORA-942 from the page of connection details of OEM 12 c installation during 2-system upgrade database

  I am trying to improve our 11.1.0.1 to 12.1.0.3 OEM production using the method 2-system.  When I try to keep in the database connection Details page after you have specified the connection details for the copy of the deposit on the new host, this error pops up:

  ERROR: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

  Unable to connect to the database and validate is a database supported due to one of the following reasons:

  (1) credentials incorrect

  (2) the auditor may be out of service

  (3) database is perhaps out of service.

  Check the credentials, the status of the listener and the database, and then try again.

  This error is not moved when we used the same procedure to upgrade a test installation 11.1.0.1.  In addition, I tried to change the connection details to connect to the repository of original production and got the same error.  This seems to indicate that the problem is specific to this repository.

  I'm Tournai on sql trace for another chance and found this error in the trace file:

  The following statement has encountered an error during the analysis:

  "Select count (1) in the mgmt_targets where target_type = 'host' and target_name ='oem12c.gfcsap.com"

  Encountered error: ORA-00942

  This error is meaningless to me that mgmt_targets is present in the sysman schema.

  Any suggestions on how to move beyond this would be appreciated.

  Hi all

  While explaining the issue to a colleague, it dawned on me that I had not thought sys could be running the query instead of sysman, in which case a synonym would be necessary.  I checked the test repository, and it had a public synonym for sysman.mgmt_targets.  The production repository was missing the synonym.  After you create the synonym in the repository of the production, I passed this stage.
