Canon PIXMA MX922 printer will allow no 2-sided Word documents

I just installed a new Canon PIXMA MX922 printer to replace an old MX882.  Everything works fine and I am able to print on both sides documents from web pages and e-mail by checking the 'duplex' box on the menu drop down print...  However, I am unable to both sides print all Word documents.  No check box 'two-sided' descend, and no "duplex" option is available, as it was with the MX882.  I never had this problem with the old MX882.  Can you help me?

Thank you very much.

Hi LonnieC,

To set the option to print double-sided on a Mac, please open the printer driver:

1. Select layout... in the file menu of the application.  The Layout dialog opens.

2. Select print... in the file menu of the application.  The Print dialog box opens. In the print dialog box, you can set the paper type and print quality for printing.

I have a Canon Pixma MX922, I liked when he was running wireless on Windows 7 on my old computer.  Since I replaced my computer with a Windows 8.1 running a new, it does not work, it crawls.  If it moves at all.  Sometimes it will print a full page, but there usually prints some lines and spits half done page.  He's literally printed a page on a single line at a time - at about half the speed of old matrix printers!  What gives?  I have not changed wireless service - only operating system.

I have a canon Pixma iP1500 printer and it does not connect gives an error code 20?

    Hello

    1. If it works much earlier?

    2. did you make any changes before this problem?

    3. What is the exact message you received?

I suggest to go through these steps and check.

    Method 1:

This is due to the UAC. Disable UAC will help because UAC prompts the user the permission to continue, the time required to get the question and answer that cause the printer to turn it off.

If you do not want to activate UAC you can call EnablePrinter when the capture of the EnablePre() event generated by the driver.

Note: User Account Control (UAC) can help you to prevent your computer from unauthorized changes. It works by asking permission when a task requires administrative rights, such as installing software or changing settings affecting other users. We do not recommend disable user account control. If you turn it off, you must reactivate as soon as possible.

  • Windows 7 can not find .inf driver for Canon Pixma iP4000 printer connected to Windows XP.

I have a laptop running Windows 7 (64-bit machine) I want to print from.  The laptop is on a home network wireless.  The office is wireless as well and is running Windows XP.  The Office has a Canon Pixma iP4000 printer connected with a parallel cable.  I installed the latest XP drivers for the printer on the desktop.  The laptop can connect directly to the printer with a USB cable and drivers will download automatically and it will print correctly.  However, I can't connect the printer using the wireless system.  I can go on the laptop to the home network and navigate to the printer and try to install.  It makes an automatic search and says that it cannot find the correct drivers.  I can browse to the file to install on my desktop, but it of an .exe file and not. INF.  I run the .exe file and it installs too, but Setup of printer on the laptop won't let me not by the .inf screen add to complete the installation of a wireless printer.

    Any suggestions?

Very probably the XP driver name is different from the name of 64-bit driver.  Create a Local Port which copies the data to the print size in Windows 7.

Here is an article knowledge base how to the names of the incompatible drivers.  Replace the Windows 7 machine for NT4 machine referenced in the article.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/282842

If you load the printer driver 32-bit on your 64-bit computer, you need the 32-bit driver for Windows 7.  You can do if you have a 32-bit computer of Windows 7 on the network to push pilots up to the machine that is sharing the printer.  None are flat files on the Windows 7 DVD, you need to install the OS or mount the ISO.

The key to successful sharing between computers that run different printing architecture processors is pilot name.  PCL6 equal NOT PCL 6.

    CANON PIXMA MG3250 PRINTER

Yellow light (danger?) in the top left corner and the printer does not print. It was OK until I changed the inks.

I lost instructions and can't download the manual though, like many others I tried for hours!

I used little of this printer and just need to do simple, but urgent tasks.

Are we supposed to it's bin and get another, then we can just get instructions and resume our work?

I don't know about spacing in your message.  Heh

This is a question for CANON - those who make and take over the device in question.  Everything you describe indicate that this is NOT a computer / software somehow problem and the problem would be the same if the device was not connected to any computer at all, an OS X one or a Linux one...

    These are the Microsoft forums.

    Here is the Canon forums:

I suggest out of ink, check you removed all the "stickers" on the ink that * need * to be removed to work properly and make sure that the ink properly.  Print the pattern check nozzles and then to make sure that everything is installed properly:

    1. Make sure that the power is turned on.

    1. Load a sheet of A4 or letter paper format in the front tray.

    1. Open the output tray extension, open the paper output tray, and then extend the output paper support.

    1. Print the nozzle check pattern.

    (1) press on the button in Maintenance for poster has.

    (2) press the color or black.

The ground of review of the nozzle will print.

    1. Review the rationale for control of the nozzle.

    Hello Bama-85,

You're right, the printers do not in the same way on Chrome OS install. I looked on the site of Google Cloud Print and your Canon printer is indeed supported. Follow this link to set up your printer ready for cloud.

I have not setup a printer Canon via Google Cloud Print, but I guess it's as easy as setting up of HP printers on the print service.

  • Driver for Canon Pixma IP4600 printer

I had to reinstall Windows on my PC due to obtaining a bad virus.  My Canon Pixma IP4600 printer worked before the re - install, but now windows can't find a driver.  I spoke to Canon and they said that they offer is no longer supported, but Windows should continue to support and drivers must come from there.  I tried a driver through Control Panel, but it is said that a driver is not available.  This printer is not that old, so I can't believe that there is no driver available to all.  Can you help me please?

I'm sorry, but as I explained Microsoft does not write drivers for Canon products.

Microsoft writes and provides drivers for their own products.

All drivers that Microsoft may provide in their OS for Canon products provided by Canon.

I suggest that contact you Canon and get them to set this output or first try the Vista drivers.

    Kind regards.

It's an old printer and there was only the 32-bit drivers for Windows 98 to Vista. Canon are unlikely to write 64-bit drivers now.

  • Try to copy a newspaper online article, but it will not stick to a word document.

I'm trying to copy a newspaper online article, but it will not stick to a word document.  Have done this for years without problem. Windows want to now restore to an earlier date and send an error report.  I use Windows XP

The problem is that the NTN online newspaper is displayed as a Flash video, which essentially cannot be copied and pasted.  Because you said that you have been copying things over the years, I guess RTN has recently changed how they provide the journal online.

    You have two options.

    1. you can print the pages in which you are interested and keep in a file or loose-leaf notebook.  Use the 'print' in the journal view, not your browser file > print menu or the browser print icon.

    2. download and install free CutePDF Writer and the free converter of GPL Ghostscript of CutePDF.  It's probably better log on as a user with "computer administrator" privileges to proceed with the installation.  Check the FAQ.

After installing CutePDF Writer, whenever you print something, will be one of the choices for the printer to use CutePDF Writer.

Then, print the pages of the newspaper online RTN 1 above, but use CutePDF Writer rather than your 'real' printer  A dialog box opens asking you to designate a file name and a location where the result will be stored.  After a while, you will have a PDF of your selected pages (rather than a Word document).

Most people have already installed the Adobe Reader app for free.  If you do not, you can get it here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/ don't forget to UNCHECK the box which installs McAfee Security Plus.  Or, if you want a smaller, faster, less intrusive pdf reader, Foxit Readerfree software.

  • Canon Pixma mx922 screen begins to turn

Just bought my Pixma MX922.  Its been great so far, the only thing is the screen continually without reason.  Looks like it is awakened by something random.  I have disconnected the telephone line, disabled all services cloud, and even when all the computers are off the screen lights up as his is about to do something.

Someone at - he seen elsewhere or have a fix?

    Hello.

The LCD display will wake up if the printer receives the signals.  If the printer is used on a network, monitoring of utilities such as a firewall or even your router may be peripheral Ping on the network.  This signal to wake up the display.  The nature of proprietary routers and firewall programs, it can be difficult to identify what is broadcast signals through your network.  If the printer is rarely used, you should consider switching off the printer on when it is not in use.
