• Captivate 4 does not start

  When I try to start Captivate early > menu programs, and startup, and then after the display screens of "Copy of the first files run" displays, disappears from the splash screen and Captivate does not start.

  The demo Captivate 4 ran perfectly on this laptop for several weeks, reserves and off-grid.   Today, I installed a copy of the box, and after you uninstall the demo and re - install copy box, it ran fine on the network.  When I brought this home for little work, it refused to start.  From the other suggestions forum, so far I have tried:

  1. Restarting the laptop.
  2. Removal and reinstallation of Captivate.
  3. Renaming and deleting and then the file Captivate_V4.dat
  4. Tried both power on and off to start with wireless networking.

  I just found out that you can actually change the path to 'My Adobe Captivate projects' in Captivate preferences. If you look in the preferences - General settings you can find a location by default to publish. I just changed mine to a directory directly on my C:\ drive. I never save anything in 'My Adobe Captivate projects' anyway so this will stop at least Captivate behave badly if he can't get access reading / writing on the network drive.

• Captivate playback does not start

  I must have a parameter that incorrectly, but when I import a Captivate swf into my presentation & post, when the presentation gets to the slide with the Captivate swf, swf file does not start automatically. It is used to... I stirred some presentations, Breeze, who Captivate inserted in them (and they still work), but suddenly I can't make new presentations that work. I don't really know what I've done, but if anyone has had this happen to them, I would of course appreciate an overview!

  What version of Flash Player you have installed? If you have 9.0.16.0, that might be the problem. I was running Flash Player 9 and with problems of content publishing Captivate integrated in Breeze 5. They would not play at all after the publication of Breeze 5. Like you, this problem has not occure initially during development.

  I uninstalled Flash PLayer 9, already the old version 8, and then I could publish the content Captivate embedded in the files of the breeze.

  Flash Player version 8.0.24.0 or 8.0.22.0

  If I went to Flash Player 9, Captivate content has stopped working again.

  I've recently updated to macOS Sierra (public version) and everything seems fine, except for allowing to Siri. I tried to enable the system preferences as well as execution of the Siri application in the application. I even tried to 'facilitation' by selecting in the menu bar.

  In any case it does not start. Upon activation in system preferences, I get "There was an error in the preferences of Siri." and it takes back me to the main view of system preferences.

  What security software do you have?

  Try to create a new shortcut on the desktop Firefox and maybe to reinstall Firefox via a clean reinstall (i.e. remove the Firefox program folder).

  If you cannot remove the Firefox program folder and then try to rename this file to "Mozilla Firefox.old".
