CC opens whenever the network disconnects

Is there a way to get the CC on OSX app to stop opening every time the computer loses its connection to the internet?

I work on a laptop and often have to plug and unplug a wired network access to other wireless networks. Whenever I do this since the last update, creative cloud opens to warn me that it lost the connection.

I use no CC every day. It is only about 10% of my job... description but I need the software from time to time, and it's very annoying having to close more than 20 times a day.

you have to run the application of office cc, at most, once every 30 days.

Click the gear on the top icon right > click Preferences > uncheck "start connecting".

then quit (gear icon > quit) the desktop application.

  • When I'm not on my computer, the network disconnects, and I need to reboot Windows XP to run again.

original title: it is a boot sector virus

Please no one knows the answer?

I use MSE on XP. Have all implemented the automatic updates firewall that all fixed at a fairly high level of security, and to update and scan with MSE usually twice a day. When I'm not using the computer I disconnect the network and reconnect when then necessary safety precaution.

Sometimes, when I return to the computer is not found on the network, and the only way to restore the network connection is to re-boot. Then, I find it almost impossible to re-start as he died within 5 seconds after pressing the power button / stop. I tried holding the power button for a few seconds, but nothing helps I just keep on pushing sometimes for dozens of attempts and it stops automatically turn off the power. He intercepted not eventually if I keep on pressing him for dozens and dozens of attempts. It is?, is it a virus of a description, and if this is what and how is he riding in, on and why is MSE does not pick up.   I had similar situations where the IP address of my printer (Ricoh Aficio) has been changed, then turn off the printer and thrusting me on an audit of the laborious systems. ?.  Anyone has any ideas.

    Thank you very much

    Bob.

PS Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all.

Of course, it sounds as if you use the power button on the computer case.  Otherwise, good.

I guess that until you're away from the computer, disconnect from the network.  Even if you don't have the computer off, disconnect is still excessive.  However, if you do this, Windows should not bother you that you describe.

During your absence, the computer go to sleep or Hibernate mode (if so, which) or have you configured it stays on indefinitely until you deliberately shut down?  If the computer is set to go into sleep or Hibernate mode after a certain period, you have the same problem reconnecting to the network if you return before the computer is spent in sleep mode or Hibernate mode?

You have Service Pack 3 and the subsequent critical updates installed (for example, you use automatic updates)?

The next time the problem occurs, open the event viewer (start > run > eventvwr > OK) and look in the Application logs and system errors or warnings.  By default, when you open the log event viewer must be sorted with the most recent events at the top.  If not, click the title once (or twice) of the column to sort.  He can't go very far back to find questions.  If there is an error or a warning, double-click it to display the property page.  Then click on the copy icon (right underneath the up/down arrows).  Then paste in your response here.

You have your router configured to disable the SSID broadcast?  Even if it sometimes seems on Web sites for safety, it does not add to your safety really but creates network problems.  Do not disable the SSID broadcast, especially for Windows XP machines.  See http://blogs.technet.com/b/steriley/archive/2007/10/16/myth-vs-reality-wireless-ssids.aspx as this article points out, also not use MAC filtering in your router.

Another thing that might cause problems of reconnection (especially if you have your router's SSID broadcast disabled) is a connection to a nearby unsecured wireless network.  You should look through the list of preferred networks tab in wireless network your wireless adapter properties dialog box, and 'Delete' you don't want to connect to all networks.  To get here, open network connections (start > run > ncpa.cpl > OK), right click on the wireless adapter and choose Properties.  Then go to the wireless networks tab.

Even if you have properties of the adapter wireless open dialog box, select your network from the list of preferred networks and click Properties. Then click on the tab 'connection '.  What is the box checked for automatically "connect if this network is in range"?

Finally, in regards to your printer, it is a recommended practice to configure devices like printers have a static IP address instead of the obtain an IP address from the DHCP server on the router.  As you have observed, in some circumstances (the printer is off for awhile), the router can assign a different IP address for the router than he had when you first set up the things.  Some wireless printer drivers (HP, for example) are smart enough to deal with this, but most is not.

Read the manual of your Ricoh printer to determine how to assign a static IP address.  Pick one that is in the same subnet (i.e., the first 3 bytes of the IP address are the same as your other IP addresses), but out of the interval used by the DHCP server on your router.  You can find this information from the router configuration utility.

For example, the DHCP server on my Linksys router is configured to assign not more 10 starting at 192.168.1.100 IP addresses.  Which means that the first computer to connect will get 192.168.1.100, the second 192.168.1.101 and so on.  So I configured my wireless printers to have a static IP address that is lower than, for example 192.168.1.50.

After you set up the printer, click Start > printers and faxes.  Right-click on your printer, and then select Properties.  Click the Ports tab.  Already, the correct port must be selected.  Click on Configure Port.  OK your way out and enter IP address static, that you assigned to the printer.

During normal use, my network to the internet is disconnected, so I did nothing and that the network is working fine after a few minutes.

Based on the above cases, I would like to know about any potential cause on disconnecting from the network.

    Hello

    1. what type of internet connection do you use? Is it wireless or wired?

    2. which antivirus program is installed on the computer?

    3. using Internet Explorer as your default browser? If Yes, what version of IE are you using?

    4. do you receive any error messages?

This problem normally occurs when there is no problem with the connection you are using. It can also occur if the antivirus program blocks specific ports. The steps described here.

Method 1: Run the network troubleshooter

    Wireless and wired network problems

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-AU/Windows/network-connection-problem-help#network-problems=Windows-7&V1H=win81tab1&V2H=win7tab1&V3H=winvistatab1&v4h=winxptab1

    Method 2:

Temporarily disable the security software and check.

    Caution:

Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Hope this information helps. Response with status so that we can help you.

  • InDesign does not open when the network drive is not available.

    Hello world

I have a laptop (MacBook Pro OSX10.9.5), which shares a network drive in my office. The reader is with another computer. When I take the laptop out of the network of the company (for a meeting or a house), InDesign will not open, it gives me the following error (see image). I tried to replace the default values and SavedData files and InDesign also re-install from scratch. I still get the same error. No idea what is happening or how to fix it? Thank you in advance.

I realized that it was, finally. After playing, I noticed that my InDesign fonts folder, had 'alias' links to fonts residing on this shared drive. As soon as I deleted all those who where alias, the error disappeared. I hope this helps someone in the future.

  • Out of browser-based Airhelp does not open in the network location

    Hello

I was wondering if anyone can help with the following problem:

I want to activate the internal evaluators open my help based on a browser of AIR in a shared network location. Currently, in order to open help, examiners must proceed as follows (which seems quite complicated):

    1. create a folder on their local systems: \Macromedia\Flash Player\ #Security\FlashPlayerTrust.

    2. stick the folder in the file RoboHelp.cfg (containing the network path to my index.html AIR help file).

I derived the steps above to the procedure provided for by http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/RoboHelp/RoboHTML/WS1b49059a33f77726-484da80912ce87f5f33-8000. html

Is there a way to avoid having to do the examiners perform these steps in order to access using AIR on a shared internal network location?

Looks like a very involved process to just check that others in the company can open and test it. Is they do not do this and they click on the index file, it seems that the help opens, but then hangs on a blue and gray box with a progress bar that never moves.

    Thank you!

We could continue on the road to examine the content of the PDF, but we need our QA reviewers the opportunity to test the output of Airhelp browser based in different types of browsers. That's why we want to display the files somewhere and give them the opportunity to open them in different browsers.

    Thank you

In this case I might suggest that you find a way to deploy to a web server via a URL that is not published. Just provide the URL to your testers.

I tested Windows 7 since the first versions beta and finally got my driver's license for RTM, but one thing still does not work on the Tecra M7:

Network connectivity is lost repeatedly during the use of the ethernet adapter integrated Intel Pro/1000 PL.

After wake up sleep or hibernation mode, you mean the network disconnects automatically?

I think that it is a software problem
I remember that Vista and first BONE had the similar problem

  • G530 causes intermittent network Drops for all Machines on the network

I have a new G530 (Vista Home Premium, 3 GB of RAM) that will expose the weird behavior. Whenever he is on my home network, it causes all machines on the network to lose Internet connectivity for a few seconds every 30 seconds or more. Everything on the network is fine, and then I connect the G530 - either turn on the wireless switch or connect a cable. Therefore, network connectivity is interrupted periodically.

    Here's what I know:

    • I have plugged and unplugged it for more than a week. It is this machine at the origin of the problem. I can repeat on order by commissioning wireless switch on Lenovo or plug the LAN cable.
    • The network works through a router DLink wireless/wired. The wireless part is encrypted WEP.
    • The machines on the network are a mix of Vista Premium, basic Vista, XP, Win2000 and a wireless HP printer. They all display the intermittent network problem when the Lenovo is connected.
    • Lenovo has the problem when it is connected.
    • I made repeated IPConfig / release--> / renew on all machines. At one point, I did a manual inspection and there is no duplicate IP addresses.
    • The Lenovo worked fine connected wireless to the network of the local public library.
    • A suggestion of DLink had to give the different names cable and wireless LANs. I tried. Problem persists.
    • It is not the modem; We went from LILY at the thought of this week of cable modem - thanks to some misleading advice from our DSL provider - the ADSL modem was dying. The problem is the same now with the cable modem as it was with the DSL modem.
    • I can see the problem on non-Vista machines easily because the task bar appears whenever the network connects or disconnects. (Vista has fixed this particular annoyance.) The message is that a network cable is unplugged.
    • It's the question even if the Lenovo is connected wirelessly or via Ethernet.

Any ideas? Thoughts? Suggestions? To cry on shoulders? Otherwise, it is a wonderful machine, but I need a computer, not a killer network...

  • CS5, slow to get the "open" and "Save" over the network computer dialog box.

I had this problem, since the suite has been installed, but recently got a lot slower. Whenever I have click on open or save, it takes 8-10 seconds just for the upcoming dialog.  CS1 has quick relief - I know it was hundreds of years ago, but I can't help but compare the two.  I have the same problem with InDesign and Illustrator. The suite is running on a Windows 7 computer with a home network, access files of a machine XP as a Buffalo Linkstation.  Once the dialog box appears, and I double click, the file is pretty quick to appear.  I did research online and I think that the problem was in the network or settings.  The network is fast, Windows Explorer has no delay in opening the search for files or other programs outside of the Creative Suite. I did an experiment to refine the problem - I closed Photoshop, disconnected the network cable and reopened the program.  WONDER - it was so FAST to open the dialog box for opening and saving files!  I closed and then Photoshop again, plugged the cable network Photoshop to and open back.  He was back at the slow opening of the dialog box.  Everything else in the programs works fine - no delay during the execution of the operations in one of the Creative Suite - it has to do with the network and how CS is looking for the files.  Can someone help me, I'm so frustrated - it adds unnecessary time to everything I do and I'm afraid to open and save files!

Have you tried to work with the display of the dialog box at all under Windows 7 under the drop to organize (left side)? Also, is - one of your Favorites in this dialog box are pointing to something that might be offline?

  • Current file to use when it is disconnected from the network wireless/wired - shared network drive

    Hello

We have a problem where we receive a "file in use" message when you are disconnected from the network. To reproduce the problem, what we do is:

    (1) connect to the wired network wireless disabled with

    (2) create a test document

    (3) to enter text and save on network share

    (4) remove the network cable

    (5) add additional text

    (6) reconnect the network cable

    (7) try to save the file to the network share

At the beginning by clicking the X is the new message you want to save. Click Yes and the message arrives until the next time you hit the Hit of X no. and he loses the last change.

From here we then go up to the network share, open the file and it comes up with "file in use. Open read-only. File is opened by us (Administrator account), and there is NO temporary file in the shared folder.

    Tried so far:

-Run net config server/autodisconnect:-1 for trying to stop it disconnect the share

-Checked pane, pane preview and off 'display the description of the pop-up window for folder and desktop items '.

    -Windows Update

We try to reproduce on wired connection, because it is easier to reproduce that disconnects wireless. Seems to have an impact on several operating systems. Share folder is shared on a Windows 2008 R2 x 64 machine.

Is this a known problem or is there something that we can configure to try to prevent the locking file after logging out? Ideally, we want the decline to go unnoticed and provide uninterrupted service to the user, unless they are trying to save during the fall.

Thanks in advance for comments :)

  • "Unknown error" whenever I try to access the properties of the network connection

    Hi all

whenever I try to access the properties of a network connection (e.g. via right click on 'Network'-> properties-> right click on a connection-> properties), type of connection according to what is, I get a message "Unknown error" box and I can't move forward.

As a result, any setting of any network connection is not editable, more. For example, I wanted to force the IP of the local network of "assigned to DHCP" to "static" with an address fixed IP, but I can't.

Another weird thing is that I even can't delete one of the existing network connections, even if there are a couple that are not in use for a long time...

It should be noted that, apart from that, the network of connections work.

What can cause this behavior, and that might be the way to solve the problem?

I want to upgrade the system to SP3 but I am reluctant to take the plunge with such an "alive"... error
As you may have already guessed, the system is running XP SP2.

    Thanks in advance,

    Concerning

Yes, I am facing the same problem too. The error message says "an unexpected error has occurred." This problem started out with me a few weeks back and I was under the assumption that it was due to a virus attack. But even after a thorough cleaning session problem continues to exist.

The problem - as mentioned above by the Bell, we can neither open the properties of a connection (i.e. Dial-up/LAN/WLAN), or remove or add a new connection. If you try to open the connection properties, all you get is the message "an unexpected error has occurred" and if you try to delete or add a connection - the system does not respond!

Surely, this link worked for me. I hope it works for you Bell. Check it out.

    Original title: "Recent Documents".

I'm unable to open one of my 'recent documents' document.  It is said to make sure that the network resource is available.  What does that mean?  And I can't find the document in "My Documents" is.  And I tried a search.

    Hello

The error means either that the document no longer is located in the folder it was when it was finally opened or the location that the file was initially located in is no longer in the same place.

Example 1: I open a document in the My Documents folder, then after closing the document, I moved manually the file to the desktop.

Example2: I open a document located on a removable hard drive. After the closure of the paper, I then disconnect the removable hard drive of the PC.

In these two examples, Windows would be able to find the Document using the "Recent Documents" list

Step 1: I recommend that you check the trash or see if the document is located on a removable hard drive (or USB key) that is is more attached to the computer.

Step 2: Use recovery software of the third party to recover the document.

  • Opening a folder on the network brings the PC almost complete stop!

    Hello

I work in a small office with a computer acting as a server with three other connected PCs.  For some reason, whenever the boss turns on the network drive and open a specific folder, his pc is incredibly slow.  The other two PCs can open that folder and continue to navigate without any problems.  We performed a virus on the file scan and there is no virus top.  It must restart your pc so that it runs again at an acceptable speed.  We also tried to defrag his pc, but nothing works.  Help, please!

If the record contains a lot of computer items the boss can have too little memory available for the full list. Try to set his Windows Exporer for display only details or list view instead of the icons or thumbnails.

Check the memory in this way:

Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar and click Task Manager, and then click the performance tab. You will see (in XP) the total physical memory available physical memory settings and system Cache. Also, a section of Charge dedicated with parameters commit total load, committing a billing limit and the maximum Commit Charge.

My pc is slow, because my total physical memory is 1 048 048 (1 GB - GB) and my Total commit Charge is 1 282 820 (1.2 GB) so my Total commit Charge is greater than the total physical memory. Total commit Charge is the total memory used by programs. Until the system done - well to avoid the errors blue screen or out of memory or just a really bad day system takes a bit of the memory being used for other programs that are running but not active and swaps this info memory at a predetermined hard disk location. This frees up physical ram for programs that are actively used. The Act of Exchange on disk this memory takes 100 to 1,000 times as long to access which exchanged information of physical ram memory if your computer slows down considerably the. Your options here are to close programs or add ram if possible. I cannot - old computer and cannot be updated.

So the simple solution is to add more memory to the computer if possible. Check out Crucial.com for a program that will determine the current memory and upgrade options possible. It will download a control through the browser to determine. The site should have good exchange memory mode. You may need to replace 512 MB for 1 GB modules, because the pc has only so many slots to put memory in. ATTENTION always leave the computer plugged in and turned OFF and touch a metal box on the pc before handling the memory chips. If you move always unload your static electricity in this way.
