  A very simple example of separation of Duty (SoD), it is that for example, the same manager should not be responsible for asking budget increases and their approval as well especially if it's his own.

• OIM 11 g R2 PS1 Installation - problem Certification tab

  I have a doubt about the OIM 11 g R2 PS1 facility. I completed my installation by following all the steps correctly.
  
  But, according to the guidelines of this info: http://rajivdewan.blogspot.in/2013/04/oim-11g-r2-ps1-adminself-service-console.html
  There are two new features in this release over version 11 GR 2 IOM:
  Presents the new menu called "Certification" in the Console of Sysadmin
  Introduced new menu called "Inbox" identity / Self Service Console
  
  But I'm not able to see the "Certification" tab, although the 'Inbox' tag is present in identity /Self Service console in my console of Sysadmin.
  Is that what I missed in my installation or a patch is missing from SOA?
  
  I discovered that there are tasks SOA installation is required for the installation of the PS1...

• Issue of 11.1.1.5.3 to 11.1.1.5.6 patch IOM

  I would like to just patch my IOM 11.1.1.5.3 IOM 11.1.1.5.6.

  Look in the downloaded zip file I see fixes for the following:
  -IOM 11.1.1.5.6
  -OAM 11.1.1.5.5
  -OES 11.1.1.5.4
  -OAAM 11.1.5.2
  
  In my environment I have IOM and OAM. Is it a requirement to patch OAM if I patch IOM at 11.1.1.5.6?

  If you apply the patch scheduled for IOM IE IOM 11.1.1.5.3 IOM 11.1.1.5.6, do not apply the patch to OAM. OIAm products are certified at the level of version not in level of patches.

  1-have you checked Setup logs? Is there a mistake?
  2 - Didi test you with different browsers?

• Requirement for the integration of the IOM - OAM

  We want to integrate the IOM - OAM (11.1.1.5.0) in our environment. In the matrix certification 11g R1 his city he takes supported Oracle Internet Directory 11 gR 1(11.1.1.4+). We will use the version 11.1.1.6.0 OID or we should use only 11.1.1.5.0. ? Can we get the patch 11.11.4 / Download 11.1.1.5 fusion middleware?

  11.1.1.5 OID is not directly available. You must install the basic first version and the patch for 11.1.1.5.0. You can get the patch from oracle support.

  Sign in Metalink and look for Patch no: 13116984 for notes version and all documentation, if any. For more information look at 9.1.0.2 documentation. Accreditation again seek 9.1.0.2 matrix certification and the release of the BP notes.

• Configuration of SSL AD IOM

  I need to create users on announcement by password, I try to configure SSL between IOM & AD communication. I am following the guide of connector AD Base documentation. I did the installation of certificates, enabling ldaps services and I'm stuck on the last step adjustment upwards the target system certificate as a certificate approved

  I've exported the AD Certificate Authority .cer file and try to import the host to IOM using below command
  
  keytool-import - alias ALIAS - file CER_FILE - keystore MY_CACERTS - storepass PASSWORD
  
  In my case

  The problem is when the certificate is generated, I did not mention the password (not invited for the password during the process of Certification AD certificate generation) and but to import this certificate file to the host of the IOM that I need to provide the password (*-storepass XXXXXX *).
  
  Please let me know how to overcome the problem

  Wells OOTB, you cannot set any policy as such, but this could be easily achieved with the help of an adapter of the entity.

  I guess you should set some parameters of certification in the present to check the robustivity of the selected user ID.

  For example, to create an adapter of the entity which takes the username and make this validation in a Java (your custom class) class and from this back a SUCCESS or an ERROR. The error will be saved by a task Manager error as well to display an appropriate error message. Attach this entity to the insert adapter before the user data object manager.

• Password IOM strategy

  We have self-service in IOM currently, but we started to test for certification and delegate of the administrative process.
  
  We noticed if a user tries to reset his password it doesn't work, it crashes just on the change password screen. If the ADMINISTRATOR changes the password, it works very well.
  
  We have no strategy for password now. Do we need to create one to work.

  No need to create a password policy. He is not related to the password policy.

  Password policy is used for formatting and the expiry of passwords such as password must contain at least one alphanumeric character, minimum length should be 10 something like that.

• Error trying to configure user IOM to Active Directory by using SSL

  I am able to see users through LDAP over SSL browser but get the following error trying to configure users IOM to RFA by using SSL.
  
  I use Microsoft Active Directory 9.11 connector type.
  
  Answer: Connection error encountered
  Description of the response: error occurred when connecting to the target system
  
  I did a few tests using the "diagnostic dashboard" and here are the results.
  
  Name of the test: target system SSL verification of approval: past
  Name of the test: test basic connectivity: failure
  
  Exceptions:
  

  ITResource of the informative values are not correct. Enter the correct values.
  java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException
  javax.naming.CommunicationException: simple bind failed:
  Unable to find the path of valid certification for target asked.

  Name of the test: Test commissioning: failure
  
  Note: Without SLL got past all of the above tests.

  What are the values you gave in ADITResource as port no. * 636 * and SSL enabled true/yes etc.

  Are you sure that your certificate is correct and you are able to connect to AD to the port 636?
