Change the SSD or RAM in Portege Z10t?

Hello

As we know that it is very easy to change the RAM memory or the Portégé R700-930 series SSD drive.
It's a little more complicated for the Z series.

I just wanted to know if this is possible for the new series of Z10t?
The standard elements of 4G and 128G are a bit small for my taste.

Thank you
/ Anders

Hello

I think the upgrade on Portege Z10T is another story and not comparable with other series such as Portege R700.

The Portege Z10T is a mixture of Tablet / netbook device and mSATA SSD drive is placed within the tablet that is not upgraded to the user.

If 128GB are not enough for you, you can insert and use the extra memory media into the SD card slot

  • The SSD and RAM upgrade

I have the 13-inch Retina Display early 2015 model. It contains 128 GB SSD and 8 GB of RAM.

I wanted to update both of them. Is this possible? I agree with HARD drive even if that is supported. 128 GB is not enough for me actually.

    Help, please.

Without the SSD and RAM are both not upgradable.

One option is to sell your computer and use the money to buy a new one with the features you need.

There are two options to add an HD card to your card HD slot. Both options will be flush with the case.

  • Portege R500 - can I change the SSD?

Hello. The question of replacement, replace the ssd.

I myself PORTEGE R500 (PPR50U-02M01W version) with SAMSUNG_MCCOE64GQMPQ_SE805B0137. He has only 64 GB.

I contacted Toshiba service asking to replace by something big, they said it's impossible! HOW DO I? It should be possible to replace the 64 GB SSD 256 GB SSD!

If anyone can give me the link to SSD, who's going to fit 100% into my existing ssd will be very grateful!

    > I contacted Toshiba service asking to replace by something big, they said it's impossible! HOW DO I? It should be possible to replace the 64 GB SSD 256 GB SSD!

And why wouldn't this possible? The technician said that?
To my knowledge, it should be possible to use any disk SSD because SSD drives use the same interface as ordinary hard drives

As far as I know there is a common controller SATA and SSD with SATA interface should work

    That s in my opinion

  • Reinstalling windows 7 ultimate retail after changing the SSD, the motherboard and the processor. I'm having a problem with the reactivation?

I'll upgrade my desktop PC, by changing the motherboard, processor and SSD drive with the OS on it to boot. I have a problem with the reactivation of windows, and should I turn it off, somehow first, or the previous version will be considered as-enabled automatically? It is a retail, windows 7 64 ultimate version. Please advise, thanks in advance.

    Just reactivate by phone:

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

    (4) choose the option "activate phone".

    (5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    (6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/950929/en-us

Remember, if it is a retail upgrade license:

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

You can skip to enter the product key and try the activation of the phone to work around this problem.

  • Pavilion dv7t-3300: weird behavior after adding the SSD and RAM upgrade

Has just added a new HD SSD to my note as "disk 1"(the former one is 'disk 0', he has a Win. " 8.1 works). Installed Win. 10 in the new drive and everything has worked well so far. I tried to upgrade the memory, so I bought two Crucial DDR3 1333 with 8 GB memory each, the previos configuration were two 2 GB memory (4 GB total).

The question is: If you use a single memory (8 GB) everything looks Ok. If I add the other (16 GB total), the new SSD is not recognized, but the old man works as usual. The new drive is not yet recognized after botting from the former (not even from the Disk Manager). Already tried to drag the disks with no luck. There seems to be something with the memory, since everything works with a memory of 8 GB or with two 2 GB memory, but with two memoirs of 8Gb the new SSD seems to be dead

Advice or similar experiences? Is there something that I am missing?

So much worse... the SSD seems to be broken or something similar. Does not work on the other PC, then... I guess that this has nothing to do with the memory

BTW, the 16 GB are works fine

  • Satellite A100-294: cannot change the built-in RAM module?

The integrated RAM (512 MB) of my Satellite module problems (based on memtest86) and the machine was freezing all the time. It is under warranty, so I got to the store I bought.

They told me that they send the machine to Toshiba AC because it will probably be a new mainboard to correct the problem, since the DIMM is permanently attached to the Board and cannot be changed as all the regular module DIMM.

Is this true? Is the 512 MB of RAM the machine is supplied with, physically inseparable from the motherboard?

    Hello

As much as I know doses Satellite A100-294 does not in charge of the internal memory!
The unit simply uses the memory DDR2-533 modules that are removable.
The memory location is placed at the bottom of the unit and it s easy to reach.

But maybe the head technicians would like to take a look at this motherboard and therefore the ASP had to send this book to the Toshiba headquarters

  • How to change the amount of RAM shared

    Dear Sir.
I use Lenovo 3000 C100. When I check the properties of the system-> Legeneralonglet, I see that I have 248 MB memory live available. I guess the total RAM could be 256 MB.

While they inspected the size of my video RAM in the monitor plug-and - play-> adapter, I see the size of the 128 MB memory

This memory comes from my 256 MB RAM chip? If so, how can I reduce it to the desired level since I was not able to see an option that does this.

    Help, please.

I guess that 256 MB is the RAM and the display video adapter card is 128 MB, the two are different. It is ok.

  • How can I change the value shared RAM on Satellite A300 VGA?

I own a PSAGCA A300 I was woundering how I can lower the allocated shared memory?
At present it has allocated 1279 MB of shared memory ontop of my HD 512 MB I think it's really useless for my needs.

How do I lower it? I checked the Bios and it could not find in there... any ideas?

    It is not possible.
Everything is controlled by software and shared memory will be assigned automatically.
This means that if you run some heavy applications like games the value of shared memory is greater than performing simply applications like the browser or Word.

But like I said above; everything is controlled automatically!

  • Change the amount of RAM of guest from the command interface operating system

    Hello

I'm not sure that this is possible and is the reason why I post this topic here (I hope I'm in the right place but I'm sorry if I'm not). Is it possible to update the allocation of memory in a guest from the command line operating system? My goal here is to improve the memory of the guest operating system from 1 GB to 4 GB and then schedule a reboot after hours before it takes effect on. Yet once, not for sure if this is possible, but thought I would ask.

    Thanks in advance,

  • Satellite Z930-12Z - add RAM and replace the SSD

    Hi all

I'm new here and read some articles also on the Z930-12Z Satelite but I have two questions on the Satellite Z930-12Z:

    1. What is the maximum RAM for Satellite Z930-12Z? There are two locations inside or accommodation?
I read this blog, but I don't understand if there are two slots or a slot...
    https://Forum.Toshiba.EU/showthread...Llite-Z930-12Z

    2. could I change the SSD? Is there a maximum GB for SSDS for my Ultrabook? No matter what SSD I install?

    I had these SSDS:
    2.1 Kingston SMS200S3 / 480 G SSD 480 GB (6.4 cm (2.5 '' mSATA)
    2.2 MZ-M5E500BW Samsung SSD 500 GB (mSATA)

No matter what SSD I install?

    Thank you in advance!

    Rebecca Bugday

Two DIMM slots with 16 GB support apparently. You won't need 16 GB. Take a set of 2 x 4 GB RAM dual channel, I'll leave a link to a few good things that I use for my cell phone 16 GB

    http://www.ebuyer.com/646124-HyperX-...1779&PKW=&Pmt=

Also, Yes, of course, you can change the SSD, you will need to get some kind of USB 3.0 in the first mSATA interface and clone the existing drive overall, because laptops do not want fresh windows install.

I can't say for sure why this BSOD error pops up, but according to Microsoft knowledgebase article the question of the DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION occurs when the DPC routines one or several drivers exceed the CPD Watchdog time-out.

    Purge details mention igdkmd64.sys file.
As far as I know that the gdkmd64.sys could be the Intel Graphics driver.

Probably the Intel driver causes this problem.
It could also be the processor that supports the graphics unit causes this problem.

Sorry, but all the pieces of equipment must be checked to provide detailed diagnosis.

  • Pavilion dv7-2050sm: SSD and RAM upgrade questions

    Hello

I have two question about upgrading my laptop. I use it for web surfing, movies, some excellent/word work etc... for the most part on a regular basis.

    (1) I have seen that my RAM can be upgraded to 8 GB. Currently, I am working at 1333 MHz 4RAM. If I buy 2 x 4 GB 1600 MHz will it work on this laptop, I went into the BIOS and have not seen that I can change the speed of ram anywhere nor has seen how much can this support for portable computers, so should I buy 1x4Go 1333 MHz instead if it only supports 1600 MHz.

    (2) can I put my disk HARD 700 GB Seagate 5400 RPM SATA II 3.0 Gbps with Samsung 850EVO 250 GB SSD? I know that SATA III drives are retro-compatible meaning can work on SATA II but is it useful, how much speed will I use if my laptop does not support SATA III.

    Laptop computer product number: B4E42EA

    Chipset: AMD A70M FCH

    CPU: Improved A6 4460 M to 4600 M A10

    Thank you!

It will not run at 1600 mhz just so buy another 4 GB of DDR3-1333 memory. The SSD is the best upgrade you can do. Certainly worth. SSD SATA-III will work fine on a SATA-II bus. There is very little difference in actual operation.

  • Pavilion x 2: Windows product key Validation after hardware change (new SSD)

I have a Pavilion laptop x 2 with a 64 GB SSD.  It came with Windows 8.1 but he now works Windows 10 - of course.  I decided to upgrade the 256 GB SSD.  I bought the appropriate module (a Sandisk).  I recently contacted Windows support to inquire about the procedure to validate the OS once I did the material exchange.  I wasn't sure how it would work since my x 2 Pavilion has incorporated into BIOS product key.  Microsoft told me that because I was going to do a hardware change I would need a new product key (in other words my laptop current product key would be 'blocked').  I was able to recover the product key of my Pavilion x 2 (OEM and installed keys - what is the difference?).

Does anyone have experience in this field?  Once I have replace the SSD and perform a clean install Windows 10, will be the key to product embedded BIOS validate operating system or it will reject?  Since I'm NOT buying a HP SSD (with preloaded operating system) and that my x 2 Pavilion is now long out of warranty?  I really have to pay over a hundred dollars for a new Windows operating system license?

Thanks in advance for any advice/help.

    Francis

Parameters indicate that I have a digital right so with a bit of luck when I change the SSD and install Windows 10, the machine must validate without a qualm.  I tried to see if I could link my Validation of my Microsoft account but I did not have this option on my settings (although in the past when I re-install Windows 10, link validation of my Microsoft account operating system so I guess it works.)  Also, I guess I have the anniversary edition from my machine updated automatically.

If all else fails, I'll see how it goes after the SSD upgrade and if I have to deal with Microsoft.  I also agree with you that change the SSD (essentially the ' drive') is NOT a significant change in equipment and shall not impose a new product key, but then, nothing surprises me more.

Your tips were helpful and I thank you.

  • Satellite P105: "change the Frame Buffer"

Hi, I have read through some topics here on the video memory change and continue to see the word Frame Buffer. The tab is not present in the option of setting advanced my driver and does not appear in the BIOS. Where can else I get?

    Hello
Unfortunately it s is not possible. So I think that it s increase/reduction of itself when you change the amount of RAM in your system.
