Changed routers. Impossible to be re - connect printer HP 6988. Router is a Cisco E2500.

Wi - Fi network includes HP Pavilion dv2700 notebook which is connected wireless for HP 6988 printer. Laptop use Win XP. Old kept router down, then, replaced by Cisco E2500 Wi - Fi. Laptop connected to the new router without any problem, but printer will not connect to the network or respond to the laptop. What should I do to make this work?

Of course, no problem.

Start with that. Select the map North America. Then the United States. Click on drivers and software and type the name of your printer and press search. I don't know if you have the version of dt, he looks to the name if you did. If you do not, select it from the list that appears. Then select your operating system from the following list. Finally, you will see the driver-product installation software and you can select the full features software. Download and run that. Keep me updated.

Also, very important, delete all copies of the printer from the Printers folder before new installation.

I am trying to reinstall my C6280 all-in-One printer on the product - my original installation CD was for a USB connection, I will reinstall for an Ethernet connection for use on our wireless network. I have the HP manual - install the software of the product in Windows XP for a wired network connection (Ethernet) - but get the error message - unable to locate the printer.   I plugged in the ethernet cable to the ethernet port on the computer and the router (Airlink 101).  Any suggestions on what I might hurt?

    Hello

You can use the following link to install the printer on a wired n/w.

Just to confirm... Make sure that you connect 'printer and router using the ethernet cable.

To make sure that your printer is found during installation, after plugging the ethernet cable, make sure that your printer is get a valid IP address.

  • Locally connected printer show offline on Windows 7 network after working initially

OK, have you checked similar discussions which has no successful response.

I have a PC with Epson printer connect directly via USB. Printer driver installed correctly.  Works very well.

Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit) no warranty other than windows firewall and microsoft security essential.

Laptop connected wireless to PC.  On the same network and homegroup, file and media sharing, all works well.

Laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit) even PC security.

When I add a network printer, find the printer on the PC and properly installs driver etc.  Printer appears in the devices and allows to print the first two times.

However, the next day the network printer is 'offline' in the spooler to print on the laptop.  The documents simply stack up.

The PC doesn't go to sleep and is left on all the time except for the screen is turned off.  Printer works fine on PC, indeed with the docs stuck on the laptop I can always print directly from the PC - even if it does not appear the printer to be online on the laptop.

Having checked that the spooler printer on the laptop is running and set to automatic.

Epson impossible / wants to help - have found a similar thread with no response - everyone all guess what to try?

    Thank you very much

I had a similar problem and for me, the problem is with the EPSON driver.

My printer is connected wireless to my network, I got the IP address and could he ping but WIN 7 it showed off line.

Then, I went and took a look at the printer driver (chosen to start, devices and printer, the epson printer then under management of the printer, printer to customize, ports then configure port)

And I noticed that for the Standard TCP/IP Port it was pointing to a different IP address than the one that my printer was currently. I edited it to match what the printer was and he came online.

When you turn off the printer, its IP address back in your pool of routers to be reallocated.

The windows driver Epson still has the old IP. You turn on your printer and your router can give it an IP address that is different from last time. Now, it doesn't match with what the stored before Epson driver and you says it's offline.

For me, rather than change the IP address in the driver whenever it happened that I assigned an IP (fixed host) in my router based on my printers MAC address. In this way he always give my printer every time the same address and is no longer false messages offline appears under Windows.

It is a driver problem Epson, not a windows problem.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus: loss of wireless connection, printer does not accept the password wireless

My printer has suddenly lost its wifi connection. It's the only phone connected to my network to do so.

Through the Wireless Setup Wizard to restore the connection. Assistant tells me that I entered an invalid password wireless, that is not true. (I confirmed that all devices connected to the network using the same password).

Reset the router (Technicolor of Time Warner). Reset the printer. The 'Restore default network' done. No luck.

Zero has changed since yesterday, when my printer was working fine. I used the same router for months, do not change any settings. Any thoughts on what may be the issue? A bad update happen?

    Thanks in advance.

My apologies for the late reply. I managed to get this problem resolved by phone to customer service.

The security mode of the router had to be changed to 64 WEP for wireless connection to be restored. According to Support HP, it's a common problem with the routers in Technicolor. There was no explanation as to why the printer has suddenly lost the ability to connect wirelessly when safety was created to WPA2-PSK. The network has been configured this way for more than a year.

I have almost solved this problem on mine (I had read about changing of security in a different post), but ran into a hiccup because of Safari. For some reason, Safari prohibited access to a menu page for my router security settings. You can imagine how boring it is to look at the HP Support use Firefox to access the router and do what a mouse click more, and then I had to make the change. So, if you make this change, be sure not to use Safari to access the gateway of the router Technicolor. Use Chrome or Firefox.

  • Photosmart Wireless B109n: Connection printer new source of wireless B109n

I recently changed provider router and wifi, but it is impossible to get my printer connect the new wi - fi router and allow wireless printing.  So far I have tried the following:

-All off switching several times and they are restarted in the sequence specified by HP (router, printer, computer)

-uninstalled and reinstalled the correct HP software via download on the HP site

-a spent more than an hour with a guy from support from Apple, but we couldn't do the recosnise of the computer the printer

-went bought a CD player, home, uninstalled the HP software and reinstalled from the disk provided with the printer

    -assemble the complete set

-been able to print using a cable

However, I am still unable to connect to the printer and print using wifi.  When I run the wireless network test he told me that the name of the network went from the old router to "hpsetup".

I can't work out where to enter new information - network name, password etc. - in the installation program or on the printer.  I tried several times to enable the router to allow a device to join the network while pressing the push button on the WEP option.  When I try to use the option to PIN the printer immediately show the pin code of the old wifi network and is still unable to join the new network.

HP - I started this at 09:00 and it is now 17:00 - things should never be this hard...

    Hello

Generally no full software functionality is available for your printer for later versions of OS, which means no solution to connect the pritner is offered.

You can use another computer for example, Windows PC or n older version of OS X to connect to the printer.

If your router supports WPS method, connect the printer using WPS listed on page 5 of the manual below:
    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01894737

OtherwiseI can offer the following workaround solution to overcome such a manually:

    1. Make sure that the printer's wireless radio is turned on.
    2. Click the WiFi on your Mac and join the HPSETUP network.
    3. If such a not listed, click on join another network, and then click networks sow and connect to HPSetup.
    4. Open Safari.
    5. Click Safari > Preferences and open the Advanced tab, check both the Hello checkbox on this screen, and then click OK.
    6. In the bookmarks menu, select Hello > printers and click the name of your printer.
    7. Open the network tab or wireless in the wireless Section looking for wireless or Wireless Assistant and follow this screen to connect the printer to your router.
    8. Once done, plug the Mac to your home network and add the printer as in Printers & Scanners.

    Hope that helps,

  • How to share files and printers between windows xp desktop that is connected to a wireless router with a laptop running windows 7. printer is connected to the desktop computer

Hi all.  I normally wouldn't have a problem with that, but I must be missing something.  I want to create a home network or small business between my desktop running windows xp pro sp3 and my laptop running windows 7 Home premium.  I want to share files and printers.  My desktop with windows xp computer is connected to a wireless router.  The printer is connected to my desktop as well.  My laptop is wireless with the wireless router.  I tried everything I can think of to get these two devices to the network.  If anyone can help.  Don't forget, my printer is connected to my desktop with windows xp and is connected to my wireless router which is connected to my cable modem.  Internet works fine.  the laptop with windows 7's wireless and internet works fine.  just impossible to get the two see each other or share what anyone.  Thank you.

    Hello

Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

After watching the system manufacturer, you can check the manufacturer of the device an even newer version. (The
manufacturer of system become your backup policies).

Repeat for network (NIC) card and is a good time to get the other updated drivers as Vista like

I would also turn off auto update for the drivers. If the updates Windows suggests a just HIDE as they

  • Printer HP LaserJet CM1415fnw range: my printer HP LaserJet CM1415fnw keeps restarting when connected to my ethernet router.

I bought my printer HP Laserjet CM1415fnw color in 2013 (don't remember the exact date). The CM1415fnw printer is plugged into its own outlet and is related to a router NETGEAR Nighthawk for 2 years. My network and computers have not changed in the last 3 years.

A month ago, July 2015, the printer started reboot itself on every few minutes.

These are the things I've tried:

    1. I turned off the printer for several minutes through the turning off the switch on the side of the printer. This didn't solve my problem of restart.

    2. I turned off the printer during all night through the turning off the switch on the side of the printer. This didn't solve my problem of restart.

    3. I disconnected the printer from the outlet for several minutes and all night. printer. This didn't solve my problem of restart.

    4. I disabled the "WS-Discovery" setting to printer without success. He continued to restart.

    5. I turned off the printer and the nomad ethernet cable and cable telephone line of the printer. I then turned it on. He

slept for hours without having to reboot. I plugged the ethernet cable and it continued to remain without restarting the computer for more than an hour. I then plugged the phone line cable and less than a minute the start printer restart again. I unplugged the cable line phone again and the printer stopped restarts. My wife and I have been printing happily.

Solve the problem! NO! Last week, on July 27, 2015, the printer started reboot again. I went through the same steps as above, except that this time, whenever plugged in the ethernet cable, to the breast and a few minutes the printer would begin its restart. Some time between reboots there would be upward of long enough for a print job.

    Other things I've tried:

    1. I connected the printer directly to my computer workstation via USB and plugged the phone line cable. This great for hours of work. I could print jobs. No reboot. It is simply not the solution only when necessary. I need a network printer.

    2. I connected the printer directly to the ethernet port on my laptop with connected phone cable. It worked also. So, in this configuration, I took the opportunity to update the Firmware to date 20120216 to the 20140616.

    3. I reconnected it the printer to my router and the printer began to restart again in a few minutes.

I noticed that between reboots, with the cable connected telephone line, anytime a phone rang in the printer immediately rebooted.

I have mulitple home devices that rely on network connectivity to this printer. Statement of objections, now this printer is in offline mode to

everyone. I need to get this problem resolved as soon as POSSIBLE.  I have a temporary work around the point #6. But I need a real solution. Can someone please.

    My Configuration:

    HP LaserJet CM1415fnw

    Number of trainer: QD51YOP
    Serial number: CNH8C9KRHB
    Service ID: 21334
    FIrmware Datecode: 20140616
    Telcom Version: 04/15/01
    Controller number: 4

I want to thank you davidzuts and muj851 for your quick response and your help in this issue.

I'll give you the short history of my troubleshooting efforts and solution.

I was able to isolate restarting the printer to the computer of my wife which found in another part of the House. Anytime that I connected to his computer the printer network would start to restart within one minute. I then uninstalled all HP printer software. I reconnected it then his computer to the network. Less than a minute, the printer is entered in restart mode. After a few install and uninstall drivers HP printer soffware and I took notice that the device to print to my printer still appeared after you have uninstalled the software and drivers. I clicked on the printing device and deleted manually. After restarting the computer in a few minutes, that there was a system message stating that the device driver is to be installed.

Reinstall the drivers and the printer software to create a new instance of the CM1415FNW all-in. Uninstalling all deleted, but Moose printing device. Connected to the network caused the printer restart. Thus, looked at the queue of the printer and found that it was a document in the queue to be printed. The status of the printer showed that the document was ready for printing, but would restart the printer and the State would appear as a printing ERROR.

I cancelled the print job and the document in the queue has been removed. I then removed the printing device. When I connected my wife for the network printer computer do not restart. I have software HP printer for printer CM1415FNW reinstatlled and everything is working very well for the last two days.

A conversation with my wife discovered that the day where all the problems with the printer started she tried to print a Barnes and noble discount coupon. Something with formatting printer or N & B coupon codes caused the printer restart.

The next time this happens, I know to check the print queue.

  • Connection printer 3050 has to new airport extreme router

I just upgraded my router to the extreme of Apple Air Port and cannot figure out how to connect the printer to the router.  I do not have the CD that came with the printer and can't find where to download the HP software.  The printer is recognized on computers (Mac OS 10.9.2) goal will not display because it is "not connected" to the network.   Before, I just used the WPS option on the printer and pushed the button on the router.  Since this is not an option more, I keep looking, but does not know where to put the PIN either.  Help, please!

    Thank you!!

Thanks for the reply.  I called Apple support and they walked me through the steps of adding a printer WPS to extreme Air Port (Airport basestations Menu utility (top), then select Add a WPS printer and then have it search for printer or enter the PIN).  He missed by looking at the menu at the top of the AirPort Utility where the Menu Option of base station is... But I can't believe how it was difficult to try to find a solution to the HP Web site for that!  Looks like it would be a simple soultion to the list.

  • 300 satellite - cannot connect printer

We have 2 Toshiba laptops, the other more old works perfectly and printing wirelessly via the NetGear print server, just bought the satellite 300 and no matter how hard I try cannot get the laptop to print wireless - can go through all the installation procedures, says he recognizes the printer, but as soon as I press to print the test page , he returned to "error".

I then have to remove printer, uninstall the plug in the USB cable, plug-and-play drivers involved and I am able to print via usb cable, but I really want to print wireless!
    Can anyone help?

The two notebooks use the same operating system?
I mean that so old works with Windows XP Home edition and new with maybe Vista you don't have good drivers Vista. Who knows what is the problem here?

In my opinion, you should contact the manufacturer of the printer and ask what can be the problem. If the WiFi on Toshiba laptop working fine and you can connect it to your router for Toshiba is the end of the story.
Please don't get me wrong, but all questions with external devices are clarified with the manufacturer of the product. They have enough experience with own products and I'm sure they can help you about this.
    Do you agree with me?
