Cisco E3000 Cascded Configuration.

I would appreciate any guidance on how to configure my Cisco E3000 to use in the configuration of the attachment. I can't the router to work. He negotiated the link with the bridge, but there is no connectivity to the internet wireless or wired.  Thank you!

If you try to use the E3000 as an extension, then move the cable to one of the lan ports. You must assign the IP router which is in the same network as your gateway as 192.168.1.254 and then disable dhcp. You can activate the wifi and everythign out that connects to the router will be on the same network. Refer to the instructions of lan to lan HERE otherwise, if you intend to have a network separated the instructions to follow are the lan to wan in the same place

    AnyConnect cannot be used because there is only one solution-client-software and non-integrated IOS as the EzVPN client.

    You can use dynamic cryptographic cards already offered on the ASA with a card standard encryption on the router, or you configure remote EzVPN on the router and on the SAA EzVPN server:

  • Windows 7 Home Edition Premium and Linksys E3000 and configuration problems with Dell/Broadcom half mini wireless 1501 wireless adapter DWLAN

    I'be been on the net looking for an answer requarding my Linksys E3000 router and my card adapter Mini PCI Dell/Broadcom DWLAN (DraftN) haf installed on my laptop Dell Inspiron N7010 XL 17 R and the inability to configure the card so he gets the same speed-172 wireless MBps_ as does our HP Vista Home Premium SP2 Laptop and Desktop! Yes, I spoke with Dell who seem to think that all their problems Tech and resolutions can be found with their technicians of the Manila-based Super (Word of warning-do NOT enter into the world of the concierge program of Dell Tech who, after having been assured it is based in the United States, I agreed to be a beta tester and lost my harddrive despite numerous attempts to stop the technicians to access remotely to do stupid things - but the new live Webcam and learn the hard drive but got none of my software original Dell with it as promised, too - another story). In any case, after playing with the DWLAN share of Dell said they question-nope Linksys ' cuz of course my other two computers would be quick at the speed they do. So I get ahold of Comcast, who of course told me, it's a matter of DELL. I have the WPA2 encryption on a network secure, but because my router there is no way to set up a "secure" network guest unless I have disable access to him (seems odd, he says: it is not guaranteed when someone trying to pass over the network, has knowledge password-weird with this router) it is anyway with this mini half DWLAN and the fact that it is not near the speed as the two other wireless adapters. My problem is with the speed I found all kinds of tips for use between Comcast Modem and Linksys router to make your network hum. What I want for now is someone to tell me how to configure this adapter on this Dell computer, so it does the job, it should. I have a program of diagnosis with her and from what I see, I must get off channel 1 as there is too much interference, but before I go and change the settings of the router, I want the adapter to work - especially since it's about 100 Mbps slower than our other wireless adapters. Does anyone know what should be the correct settings for this DWLAN 1501 or that I now need a new adapter in this laptop as well? Thanks for your help.

    Hi Linda,.

    Have you tried to forget an instant wireless and bypass the router and cable connect directly to the modem to see if you get the speed you want in this way?  Yes, I know that this means to temporarily suspend the internet connection to the local network and also means the creation of a special no wireless connection for this computer.  But it could help determine if the problem is the computer and the router or wireless adapter - which excluding at least.

    If it works fine, then you can pass the wireless problem.  Otherwise, if it is still slow with a direct link, then you may need to consider another problem is involved and the router and adapter can actually be very well and you need to focus on all that is the bottleneck.

    I'm suggesting this to eliminate the possibilities that can be the underlying cause, while you spend your time on the development of bad (although I admit that I think that you are right and it is more likely - it can be useful a test just to be sure).

    One of our clients has currently SSLVPN enabled for remote users and I was wondering if there is anyway to configure a remote Cisco router to connect via IPSEC at this endpoint SSLVPN? the idea is simply to set up the tunnel without requiring changes on my end of customers.

    IPSEC and SSLVPN are 2 different configurations, there is no way to have a router configured for IPSec and connect to another without changing this end as well.  You can run IPSec and SSLVPN on the same router, however.

    There are a lot of IOS Lan to Lan configuration guides, or if you want the router to act as a client, are looking to make EZVPN.

    So-you can configure a static on the SAA statement that will correspond to the IP address of the DNS.  For example:

    public static 10.1.1.253 (exterior, Interior) 1.1.1.1

    You must also ensure that traffic UDP 53 is also allowed via your inside interface access list.  On your DHCP server, then you re 10.1.1.253 as your DNS server IP address - in reality, the ASA will result simply the real 1.1.1.1 that IP address.

    I'm trying to configure a VPN connection to allow customers access to the internal network. I have tried to use time Wizard VPN & repeatedly but customer connect but can get out to the internet and communicate with any host on the network. I tried to use a vpn in the 192.x.x.x or 10.10.1.X network dhcp pool but no luck.

    Comments or suggestions appreciated.

    What is the reason for these commands?

    and put the following command:

    Permitted connection ipsec sysopt

    I am brand new to Cisco Wireless, just that I bought new wireless access point air-ap1142n-a-k9 cisco, try to configure the configuration of wpa2 for security reason, but impossible to configure in any mode security. So my AP is currently no security / encryption mode.

    My topology is very basic, as I am setting this up only to get a clue of the operation of the Cisco VPN. It is built in GNS3:
    -2 3700 routers: one of them holds the configuration of the VPN server and the other would be the ISP through which the remote worker would try to establish a VPN connection. I am also attaching the configuration file for the router configured as a VPN router.

    Behind the second router there is a virtual XP machine on which I have installed VPN client...

    My connection entry in the customer is to have the following parameters:
    Host: 200.100.50.173 , //which is the IP address of the VPNServer
    Authentication-> authentication-> name group: grup1 password: pass / / I'm quite positive that I typed the correct password... even if the log messages are linked to a misidentification.

    I use public addresses only, because I noticed there is a question about behind the NAT VPN connections and is not not very familiar to the NAT.

    Another aspect which can be of any importance is that "allow Tunneling of Transport" in the tab Transport to the input connection is disabled

    and the VPNServer router logs the following error message when you try to establish the connection:

    * 01:08:47.147 Mar 1: % CRYPTO-6-IKMP_NOT_ENCRYPTED: IKE 200.100.50.34 package was not encrypted and it should have been.

    Depending on the configuration of the router, the group name is grup1 and the password is baby.

    You also lack the ipsec processing game that you would need to apply to the dynamic map.

  • Configure Cisco ASA VPN client

    I did some research and the answers it was supposed to be possible, but no info on how to do it.  I wonder if it is possible to configure a Cisco ASA 5505/10/20 to be a customer to an existing (in this case) cisco vpn client.  The reasons why are complicated (and irrelevant IMO), but basically, I need to be able to make a small network that may be on this vpn rather than on individual computers.

    The vpn client is a Basic IPSec over UDP Cisco VPN to an ASA5505.

    So, how to set up an another ASA to connect to it as if it were a client?

  • Browser access to E3000

    I have a Linksys E3000 wireless router. It works fine, but I want to see its settings. When I was with my old XP machine, I could connect to my router using Firefox to http://192.168.0.1 and see or change the settings, I've wanted to. Then I got a new desktop computer with Windows 7 64-bit (no wi - fi on it). I withdrew my old XP machine. I don't have reinstall my Cisco s/w. My wireless router still works fine. But I can't have my E3000 via my browser (Firefox) using this IP address. All I get is the message to reset the connection.

    My E3000 is configured as an access point. I have other wireless devices, connection, but not my new machine W7. My network is configured as network, Internet access type.  I use Trend Micro Titanium.

    How can I connect to my router now that I'm on W7 64-bit?

    If you opened to the top of the router configuration page when connecting the computer with BEFSR81 router
    If this is the case then connect the computer on the E3000 router. Check the IP address and default gateway, then try to open the configuration page of the router with the default gateway...

    You can search for the IP address and the default gateway in the following way:

    Click on the Start button...
    Select all programs accessories---> it will be all see guest...
    The type there "ipconfig"...
