  Planning is not 64-bit on windows (currently at 11.1.1.3) platform
  In regards to ODI, if you are running 64 bit and ODI is supported then it is probably a good choice to go for the 64-bit version.

• Can't see integrating ERP in the workspace

  I installed and apparently correctly configured integrator of ERP on 11.1.1.3, Windows 2003 R2. Now when I goto workspace-> Browse-> administer I see not the ERP Integrator. Remember I don't have ODI, installed (for various reasons) on this machine. What is the cause of the problem? I am aware that until I configured ODI I can't really use ERPi, but I just wanted to check.
  
  Also when I goto the following link: http://machiney:6550/aif/faces/setup/Main.jsp, I get a message saying that I am not allowed to access this page. I am logged in as administrator.
  
  Moreover, I restart the services and I also tried to restart the server. Did not work.
  
  Any guidance will be appreciated.

  Hello EssbaseApprentice,

  Any product that is either installed/configured/deployed through EMP Configurator AFTER the workspace has been deployed will not appear within the workspace. It is body configuration of the workspace stores static content in a. The Application layer XML file and is not dynamically pushed. You will need to redeply workspace for all changes reflected and demonstrated.

  Also you can't go directly to most products from v11.1.1.3.00 they will charge the SharedServices SSO token to process because most of the products will not have a direct login page in the future. Workspace will be a requirement.

• Replacement of 6000 MXP Integrator with unique display. C40 SX20 vs?

  I have to make a quick decision and my CISCO sales representative is MIA :(

  We have a bunch of 6000 s MXP (package ingegrator), I would like to replace. They are simple installations with a single monitor on a roll integer grid.

  with output to the screen and a camera is there any point to spend the extra money for a C40 vs getting a SX20? From a point of view video capability they look pretty well. C40 more things gets me in the back, but it is a pretty simple setup.

  Just looking for what people here could do?

• Support assistant thinks I'm a guest, not an admin

  I had a mooch here and that you have spotted an answer for that - well if there is an answer, please feel free to point me in the right direction!

  Under Windows 7 Ultimate on my DV7-2045ea.

  Kept getting messages Windows form a necessary question for support Assistant, so I downloaded and installed the latest version.

  On the first run, it tells me that I'm running as a guest account and must be an administrator.

  My account is the only game on the laptop and (depending on user setting) is an administrator account.

  Suggestions to help solve? An image of the error is attached.

  Thanks for the tips.

  First of all, I did a clean to Win7U installation. The laptop comes with Vista and a load of other gubbins that I find always a pain to deal with, so I started completely from scratch (I realize that this also removed any substance of HP integrated support too!).

  I went through the steps you listed.

  HPSA works well on the Admin acocunt.

  I am registered as an administrator and I'm in every possible user group on the laptop (already was - I didn't need to add me at all)- and that is the rub.

  I also lived with Windows update problems so studied the error code that I have arrived.

  It turns out be a member of each group of users is a bad thing. (I would like to know who thought is was a good idea to my user account in order to join them all by default!)

  So, I've now removed myself from all groups except administrators and individuals (mirroring the Admin account) and everything works fine again - HPSA load properly and Windows Update done his work properly again.

  Bravo again!

• Integration of Citrix PVS/confusion

  Can someone help me with my PVS XenDesktop/Citrix integration?

  ... I would like to mention that I am not an expert of Citrix... the rest of my text clearly indicating...

  My agent of PPE for the integration of Citrix PVS (CitrixProvisioning) is installed and configured with the powershell Citrix mclipssnapin.

  The snap communicates very well with my PVS and the agent seems happy enough.

  A plan is created:

  Type: virtual/generic

  No set of reservation policy (no resource should be set to supply external, right?)

  Workflow: ExternalProvisioningWorkflow

  Custom properties: relevant custom accessories for Citrix PVS

  When I request a new machine of my plan of action, the virtual machine is created within the only reserve set for my commissioning group, which is of an endpoint vCenter.

  After that, my EPI Agent triggers the PVS to try a vDisk deployment is to the VM from VMware, which of course do not.

  PVS is able to deploy a pre-created vDisk mV (which is what I'm trying to work here)

  Your assessment seems correct to me.

  Conceptually, it would be a discovery/record rather than the standard configuration workflow.  I have seen/heard some more to develop projects of professional services where this...  Basically, the application is for a set of resources and available workflow detects that they are in a pool and enter them on vCAC (i.e. assigns the machine to the property of users, group and model, etc.)  It would be such a feature if integration with VMware view as an office as a service provider.

  "Workaround" sounds good, but a little defeated some of the end, correct?

  If we would design such a feature, I wonder if it would cover your use case leaning on it as a kind of record of 'self service' which would simplify what is the wizard 'discovered' to be in the front, ending with application forms standard and resources would come from such machines as defined in the master plan.  This would probably require some sort of pooling or revised logic of booking in order to determine what "pools" of machines would be available for registration.  If it was in place, the registration/deregistration PVS would layer on top of that and very probably require little or no change...

  Not sure if this is the scenario you are trying to address.

• RE: compatibility, clarification or verification

  Currently, we are conducting an ESX 3.0.1 build 32039 (no patches) 2 cluster nodes DRS.

  I'm in the steps of adding a 3rd node to the cluster with plans to eventually upgrade the cluster on a 3.5 U2, U2 2.5 VC environment.

  We currently use a HP EVA3000 FCSAN to our data stores primary vmfs.

  My question and my concern is:

  When you look at the compatibility matrix, I don't see that the EVA3000 in list of compatibility for 3.5!

  Is it a typing mistake or for real?  If so, it prevents us from upgrade of the cold dead in our tracks.

  How a complete storage system that is supported in the initial program of the VI3 will be compatible to be obsolete in an upgrade of the same platform VI3?

  If she should support from one major version to a major version, I could understand (i.e. for example like VI3 to VI4)

  Its Microsoft as abandonment of support for a modem if you upgrade your Windows XP SP2 to SP3 machine.

  It could be more a problem of HP than a problem of EVA. EVA3K will work. I used a MSA1000 until there are 2 or more months with 3.5 with no problems. EVAs work, there is not a lot in the SP that would PREVENT the working EVA. But you should check your HP support contracts.

  Most likely for real, but do not forget EVA 3 K is EOL of HP, but not EOSL. HP helps with these matices, so I contacted them.

  3.5 is out after EVA 3 K went EOL. Its a documentation problem you will face with HP and maybe VMware.

• Google TV for Flash Access support

  I'm testing some Google TV devices (Sony NSZ - GT1 and NSZ - GS7).

  I would like clarification on the question of whether or not the provided on these devices with Google Chrome Flash plugin supports Flash Access.

  After the Flash access FAQ (http://www.adobe.com/products/adobe-access/faq.html), "desire of Adobe Access works with Adobe Flash Player 10.1 or later". Given that the version of Flash on these devices is a hybrid of 10.1/10.2, hoping that Flash Access would work.

  However, I did several tests and I wasn't able to make it work.

  For the first test, I used the Flash Access test site, specifically http://drmtest2.adobe.com/AccessPlayer/player.swf (player.html didn't load the Flash application unfortunately)

  For the two devices, I got the same result - when you press the icon of reading to the SVP, "State of flow" said 'play' and 'Protected DRM' 'no '. The video does not play.

  In addition, for both devices, when you press "Load DRM Metadata" in PST, I received an "Error #1009'.»

  The UDC reported the Flash version as 10.2.164.128 for the 10.2.164.113 for the NSZ - GS7 and NSZ - GT1.

  For the second test, I used a local built & hosted locally OSMF sample player, version 1.5 (taken from http://svn.code.sf.net/adobe/osmf/svn/osmf/tags/1.5gm/apps/samples/framework/OSMFPlayer), configured with the video example from the Flash Access test site (http://drmtest2.adobe.com:8080/Content/identity.f4v)

  As a reference I first tried a PC desktop browser flash plugin, and in this case I received a prompt for the user name and password; After entering these, the video played with success.

  However, when I tried this from the Chrome browser on both devices, even if the responsible OSMF player I was never presented to the prompt for the user name and password.

  Since there is no debug Flash player for Google TV, I was unable to investigate further with the device.

  Any clarification or preview support for Flash Access on Google TV would be appreciated

  Classical FDM supports the following:

  (2) the ability to provide for compliance (reports) audit trails needs (classical FDM)
  (3) give COMPUTER users a tool at the service of data and load ((Classic FDM) Unlike ODI mappings IT needs to support due to its technical nature)

• !! Lenovo M490s function keys and hibernate problem!

  Hello world!

  I bought the laptop Lenovo M490s week last without BONES. I installed Windows 7 Professional x 64 retail.

  First of all, I could not find the software that controls the function keys. After installing each driver and software support page (M490s) my function keys does not except Fn + F1 Fn + F2 sleep has turn off the screen, Fn + F6 disable touchpad and the buttons set. Also no information would display on the screen after pressing the buttons - no level volume and shine.

  After some research, I found and installed Hotkey features integration support Lenovo M490 (without S) page. Each function key is started working, information on the screen also start displaying (volume and brightness level).

  Now, I spotted a huge problem, after 3 or 4 hibernation volume and brightness keys (fn + up, down, left, right) stopping just at work! Fn + F1 to F12 key combinations work normal. Then after that restart brightness and volume keys work again!

  Please help me solve this problem, I can't live without hibernation!

  THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED! Problem was in the BIOS!

  I loaded the default Installer and everything is great now.

  In addition, I have all excluded from the boot order except my SSD.

  Computer laptop brand new store had this bug.
