Clip - also not recognized by computer power supply problem

I own a Clip 2 GB and love it - however, I'm having a problem that I hope is an easy solution.

My video is completely dead with a white screen.  I thought that it was just an empty battery, however when I tried to plug in my USB (2.0) port and it will not charge or be recognized by Windows.

  • I tried reseting the Clip via the instructions in the FAQ - no luck.
  • I tried to recharge using three different computers - no luck.
  • I have the latest version of Windows Media Player.
  • I have connected it to the USB port with the Clip Hold button slide down and the central button no down - no chance.
  • I installed the update of the firmware previously (in the week).
  • I tried to reload (leaving it plugged in all night) despite the blank screen - no luck.

Am I missing something? Or should I call Technical Support?

Looks like you did just about everything - you could also try ca load if you can.  But it sounds like it's time for Technical Support...

All of a sudden my Sansa Clip is not recognized by my computer. I use MSC forced for a year and have seen the page referred by others with this problem. Nothing seems to work. Download the new firmware will it correct even if the device is not recognized? How the new firmware can be installed on the device?

At present the Clip plays already charged music, but I can add more.

    Suggestions? Thank you.

OK - I'm a model. I used a charging cable not provided by Sansa. This is why the computer was not recognizing the Clip. However, is there a way to NOT use forced MSC to connect? I use it since I updated the firmware to the last spring and my thumb is painful.

Your firmware has USB mode in the settings? If so, switch to MSC there... problem solved!

  • Audio clips mp4 not recognized after upgrade to CC 2015.1

Just upgraded to CC 2015.1 on a Windows 7 Pro workstation. A former CC 2015 project file opened yesterday, received an error message about missing a missing MultibandCompressorCore.dll, saved as CC 2015_1, did a few editig, seems ok, and smooth. But today many clips are offline, when I repeat the tracks audio and audio clips are not recognized (screenshot). When I simply import the clips of same, there is also no audio what either is. When I check under change clip audio channels are grayed out. When I play the clips via Quicktime or Windows Media Player all sounds is there. I'm lost in the darkness, silence, please help.

Exact same file on another workstation (with the same characteristics). One with and one without sound? Import the same video in After Effects and Audion works like a charm, the fable is there. What I'm missing here? A first adjustment?

I had the same problem. What I've done. 1 / I chose all mp4 files in Windows Explorer. 2 / I created a new folder very close to the original (s) 3 / I moved the clips (without the cfa and so on...) for the new records. 4 / premiere Pro will be automatically "relocate" the missing clips when you reopen the project. And now, they have audio too. I hope this will help.

  • Pavilion a6655f: hard drive or power supply problem?

A few days ago, I was trying to low loading part of the steam.  My download speed is 30 kbs, obviously not good.

I did some basic checks, malware, viruses, etc., but did not find any problem.  I did a diagnostic check and got a BIOHD-8 error code, which indicates a hard drive problem.  I decided to try to reset the computer back to the factory setting before changing the hard drive and once that I made and updated windows Vista for several hours, I restarted the diagnosis and he came clean.  Then I updated my software, including steam and a few games.  Downloads were fast and had no problems.  Later that night the computer started to shut down randomly, and I was unable to run any games.  Thinking it's maybe a power supply problem, I have replaced my graphics card with an elder who needs less energy.  I am able to run without any problems so far.  So, I'm looking for help in identifying my problem.  HDD problem, power supply, something else?  Any thoughts are appreciated.

Hard to say without proper trials.

You can use a hardware monitor HW Monitor to monitor tensions it is: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html
But there is no software that can test a power supply.

You can get a tester of hardware like this too: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16899887005

But there is really no of it will predict fails if the power supply, if you overloaded it, if its duration in time high, or if the power supply is a device of poor quality that can be subject to failure.

You can also check that your power cable is comfortably installed on the computer and not frayed.  Try a different wall jack where there are fluctuations in power.

  • Pavilion 17F061us: power supply problems

Yesterday I noticed that my laptop is running on battery power, even if we connected it with the adapter/power cord. If we unplug the power cord from the battery is exhausted and visualizes time on battery.  While we have plugged into the wall it still shows on the battery, but it does not destroy.  She remains stable at the current level of battery power (ex: all day yesterday, it was plugged in and showed the other 70%.)  To do this, not fees, but also not to lose more power.  When I unplugged the power cord battery power starts flowing as expected.  The box on the adapter cord feels slightly warm, will be especially warm before this current problem.  Taking wiggles but only slightly and waved to does not affect the power somehow.  I shutdown, removed the battery and tried restarted with the power supply cord is plugged in, it does not start.  I am currently planning to order a new power cord/adapter charger but not sure that this is the problem.  Is anyway to know if it's decision and not the wrong other than exclude with a new shot cord cord?   Also, is there anything else I may be missing it could be?

    Hi there @Aeg50,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome! It is an excellent site to find answers and ask questions. I read your post on the Forums of HP Support. I understand that your HP Pavilion 17 - f061us Notebook PC is running on battery power and maintain a charge while the AC adapter is connected, but when you connected the AC adapter without the battery attached to the laptop would not turn.

I did some research and found some documents for you based on a problem that you had described.

Please follow these troubleshooting steps, re-post and let me know the results.

    Thank you!

    Have a great day!

  • 3525 Deskjet printer power supply problem

Brand new printer, I have been connected, printed OK. Once off, lights not again unless you pull on the power cord plug, then plug it in yet. Then can be turned on. But once off so the same problem all over again. I tried different plugs/Sockets, same problem with them all. Same thing happens when the printer is connected to the electric network without being connected to a laptop Desk/computer. Is this a power supply problem? Is it not ridiculous to do out of the box?

    Thanks for any help,

    Nicholas

    Hi Nicolas,.

The latest firmware should solve the problem you are experiencing.

Download and install the update of the firmware for your operating system below:

    32 bits:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=MP-128070-2&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&OS=4157&product=5241265&sw_lang=

If the printer connected to your PC via the wireless network and the update fails to install, connect the printer with a USB port in order to complete this update, or update your device from its screen as follows:

  • Power Supply problem when installing Windows 7

So I'll keep this short and to the point. I was upgraded yesterday from Vista to 7. Has made all the necessary updates and restart before installing 7. While it was installing, I weppe out of the room, came back and my monitor was empty... Silly me, I thought it was a reboot during installation. Futher glance, the monitor is in standby mode and the PC itself has been disabled. I waited about 10 minutes and it was always off. So I hit the power button, and it will not turn back. Tried the flipping of switches, different cables. Even called tech support, to get your warranty has expired and its $ 99 for me you tell the problem... Then he became the Lady on the line, telling me something I already knew... I got a power supply problem and I had to mapy 340.00 to repair... My question is this... It was just the stars lining up properly and my diet is to bite the dust while I have been upgraded or is there more behind it?

  • New... computer power supply begins with 20pin but interrupts when 4 pin is connected

I read through many of these posts and they were very helpful. I'll try to make this short. I have a HP a1118x who gave me the flashing light feared on the power supply after a recent power outage. Rather than view this forum, I assumed that the PSU was wrong and ordered a new. 480 watt Logisys 20 + 4 pins. Put everything back together and it still won't turn. Then I found myself here all by searching for a solution. Following the advice on another post I disconnected, mother card power and plugged the 20pin record while holding down the power button. Yay, it worked... until I connected pin 4 directly behind the pin 20. Each cut off again thing. No power supply, no nothing. I plugged the video monitor in without the 4 pin and a computer but no video. I guess 4 pins may have something to do with the video. Any advice on what it takes to solve problems?

This page is available to the motherboard: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00257657

If food had a connector 24 pin for the motherboard, it should also be a connector 4 separate pins that goes on the plug just behind the 20pin connector.  (do not part of the 20pin + 4pin connectors.   Universal power supply have a 4 pins that will separate from the main connector 20/24 pin to fit an old motherboard like yours) Possily got the two mixed up?   It is to power the CPU, separate from the Grill which is part of the main motherboard connector.   Either that or the CPU/motherboard has failed, too.

  • I need a way to test the computer Power Supply

Im running a Dell XPS 2005

    Intel Pentium 4 3.4GHz

I get a BSOD (Blue Screen of DEATH) every once in awhile.  Especially at the start.

The code seems to be something with hard drives.

Now being an old laundry and adding 2 additional discs for a total of 3 got us dispatchers to power everything.

I also have a card Nvidia 9800GT 1024Mo RAM with 2 power six raced him also.

I looked outside my case, but cannot see what is my power to power supply.

I know that I was able to open it but I was wondering if there was any software a bit like CPU - Z that could read what is inside my computer?

Maybe something that could match the everything that is inside and see how much is used?

I will build a new i7 soon, but for now, that's what I have.

    Glenn,

Maybe your motherboard does not support this (being a bit older), but I'd be interested to see the results as follows:

    and

because that will show the tensions on the different tracks.

BTW, your disk temperature is quite high and the CPU and the GPU. These are of course former components and these run hotter than the current CPU/GPU, so, we can't really compare these modern components, but cooling can be a problem. When was the last time you cleaned the inside of your suitcase, removed all the dust accumulated on the CPU cooler and clean your system fans?

  • SANDISK Sansa Clip Zip not recognized by WIN 8

My SANDISK Sansa Clip Zip MP3 player is not recognized by my WIN 8 machine when I connect it via USB.  It works fine on my other machine WIN 8.  Technical support SANDISK told me that the MTP drivers are missing or corrupted.  How do I find, download and install these drivers from the Microsoft site?  Is it also possible to copy these out of the installation of WIN 8 disk I have?

OK, so I found that this worked for me on win. 8

1st: hit 'Windows key' 'X', then click on Device Manager.

2nd: once it go to Universal Serial Bus Controllers, find "USB Mass Storage Device".

3rd: hit search and edit the material (something like that)

4th: there are 2 categories, the first to find the driver automatically, and the second looking for your pc.

5th: click on the first then wait it should work and then it will say that it is recognized and you can sync your Media Player!

I hope this has helped! :)

If the USB connection is not recognized, try the following steps:

    • Make sure a Memory Stick is inserted and recognized correctly by the camcorder;

    • Slide the MODE switch repeatedly until the PLAY/EDIT is on;

    • Value [USB SELECT] [Memory Stick];

    • Disconnect other devices to your computer;

  • XPS 8500 does not turn on, power supply problem

XPS 8500 shipped on 18/01/13 so only a little more than 1 years. does illuminate, check psu and it's fine. reduce mobo or power button module. want to try to bypass the module by jumping pins on the mobo, problem is that I can't find any list of the pins for mobo or power button. Any help would be greatly appreciated since comp is barely over the years and cannot afford a new right now. Called Dell but no help it cause guaranteed missed, which took them 5 transfers and 45 minutes to tell me that :)

If the green light on the power supply goes off, it detects an anomaly. So, it is not the power button that does not work.

    1. Visually check all ports USB for damage, misshapen or twisted for example contacts
    2. Try to turn on with nothing attached (no keyboard, no monitor, no mouse, etc.)
    3. Setting power off unplug and power button press / hold for ~ 15s open the case and carefully reconnect all RAM modules and PCI cards in their locations. Check the power cable from the power SUPPLY mobo and CPU. Cable control to all readers, video card etc... Pull the mobo battery and power press on/hold button for ~ 30, replace the battery (right-side-to the top).
    4. Check the cable to the module button before (F_PANEL connector on the mobo)
    5. Check before USB cable to motherboard
    6. Etc.

The manual is hereif you need information about all of these connectors.

  • On Satellite P100 power supply problem

    Hai
I bought the new laptop Satellite P100. Suddenly it does not start (no power to notebook) and the same time, I have only checked by the only power a/c no result, also do not charge the battery. I put t know what is the reason. Can someone give suggestion?
    Thank you bye.

If the power light is blinking there is probably a problem with the electronic power supply. In this case, the laptop sends flashes code. Read this code, technicians can identify the problem.
Please, don't waste your time but the closest service provider contact allowed in your country.
After 18 months of that guarantee must be valid (it depends of course on where you live) as well as the repair must be free.
