  • Reference clock synchronization and clock of sampling (not LabView but Daqmx, Sync and C)

Well, I found an example that resemble what I wanted... in LabView: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/9308

Now the question is all about timing of the timestamps and sample:

Here is a list of ficelleStringString ficelleT of what I called...

    1. DAQmxCreateTask

    2. DAQmxCreateAIVoltageChan

    3. DAQmxSetRefClkSrc (used NISYNC_VAL_CLK10 = "PXI_CLK10")

    4. DAQmxRegisterEveryNSamplesEvent

    5. niSync_init (used a PXI-6682)

    6. niSync_SetAttributeViInt32 (used Terminal = NISYNC_VAL_PXISTAR0 and NISYNC_ATTR_1588_TIMESTAMP_BUF_SIZE = 3000)

    7. niSync_CreateClock (used Terminal = NISYNC_VAL_PXISTAR0)

    8. niSync_EnableTimeStampTrigger (used Terminal = NISYNC_VAL_PXISTAR0)

Now this list makes me able to create a timestamp every time the clock triggers a RISING edge...

Now how to synchronize these timestamps are useful for my sample? (I mean I need to sync my calendar with the PXI_CLK10 card) because for now prices will not match the sample rate.

    ALSO... a little weird...

some of my cards will accept DAQmxSetRefClkSrc but others must use DAQmxSetMasterTimebaseSrc.

Now I can't use DAQmxSetMasterTimebaseSrc with PXI_CLK10... no idea why...

So, how did I would synchronize THESE cards...

Alright I could totally be wrogn with my approach, but I'm new with stuff of OR and using C isn't exactly the best documented piece of the NC.

    Thanks in advance,

    SEB

    Thus,.

We have the same clock sampling for all of these devices, but we are not PLL'ing with the card of the S series, we cannot guarantee that they will all be in phase.  However, given that all of these devices would be based on the same reference clock, we would not drift when we started the task.  Would this work?

An alternative is to use the new X-Series card, which can also do a simultaneous sampling, but I don't know if it is feesible within your application.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones New User: Questions about the internal clock synchronization, software updated

    Hellko Forum.

For two weeks, I use a Blackberry Bold 9900 with OS7.1 and I am very satisfied with the device.

But there are some questions for which I have found no solution:

(*) Looking back at my old Siemens S10D or SK65, they had an option to synchronize the internal clock with time of the GSM network information. Will there be a similar option in the Bold 9900? What I found was an option in the date and time settings. But when I put "Government aktualisieren" (setting the time) on 'automatic' then time switches to October 5, 2013, 12:20 and nothing happens. Is it possible to connect to an NTP server? If so, where to enter the address?

(*) On this Web page http://de.blackberry.com/software/smartphones/update/blackberry7-os.html?LID=de:bb:support:update - of... Describes how to upgrade the software of the smartphone "over the air". But I can't find this option. Where the developer has hidden this feature?

Thanks a lot for the answers in advance

  • Clock synchronization on WLC ISE and AD

    Hello

I'm stuck in NTP, deployed WLC CWA using ISE which is integrated into AD. I tried to use AD as source NTP but no luck (universal fact that Cisco uses NTP while Microsoft uses SNTP).

The question is, if the time is not synchronized between WLC, ISE and AD; redirect Web stopped work and no authentication takes place.

I tried software installting Meinbergglobal NTP to distribute time to my Cisco devices. It works with Cisco devices, but it acts as master and does not synchronize its time with AD.

I am trying to find a way to sync with Microsoft Cisco, is it possible in this world to do?

    Help, please...

    Thanks in advance

DO NOT USE MS NTP/SNTP as a source of time is valid.  MS is the WORST method SNTP/NTP because MS does NOT conform to the NTP/SNTP standards.

  • [FlexRIO] Start-up to synchronize several clocks sample

    Hello

I tried before, two different (SMU-7962R + OR-5734) FlexRIO card reading in the '40 MHz Onboard Clock' or 'PXI_Clk10' areas of clock. Trigger has been achieved by simply looking for a rising edge on PXI_Trig0:

This produces seeds, but there has no inclination (or constantly tilt at least) between the two FlexRIOs - I sent a pulse train duplicated in the two cards, and the triggered-acquired waveforms were still at the stage:

To avoid problems, I went to examples of clock (IO Module clock 0). Unfortunately, the clocks of the sample between the two FlexRIOs had nothing in common, so the acquired waveforms have been is out of phase. Worse still, the phase difference changes with each release:

Looking at the implementation of the library of the synchronization of the FIDL, the classic technique for synchronization of multiple cards FlexRIO seems to be built around synchronization master-slave (my observation is correct?). I was wondering: is there a way to simply share a sample clock shared between cards (like what the 40 MHz embedded clock was doing before), as described in http://www.ni.com/white-paper/11369/en/ ? (I think I understand the disadvantages associated with sample clock synchronization, but I'm willing to try for now).

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi JKSH,

Page 9 of the Manual 5734 described the different synchronized methods that can be used the 5734. You can synchronize either sample clock of each module to a clock available through your chassis backplane (for example, DStar_A) by allowing the IOModSynClk in 5734 properties (available the Details category) or use an external clock through the Clk port on the module. Activation of IOModSyncClk is probably the best approach and will lead by examples of clock on each module e/s being PLLed on the clock of the town - which must synchronize the clocks of the two sample together.

Let me know if you have follow-up questions.

  • How the PFI to go top-to-bottom with sample clock?

    Hello world!

I am very new to LabView and I try to do something very simple in the NI PCI-6534 and still not get anywhere (or do not know if it is the limitation of the hardware)

My request is to acquire digital data of 2 channels (16-bit each) of our Board custom designed analog-to-digital.

So far, I am in a position to acquire a finite amount of sampling digital (say 100000) and using a trigger to start (PFI6) to start the acquisition of our custom card board. Just to let you know that I'm feeding the PCI-6534 an external clock of 20 MHz by PFI2.

However, I want to send a signal to trigger recognition (high/low-rising edge) to our personal advice, saying: he did the acquisition of 100000-sample.

My problem is that whenever I try to use the lines of PFI signal with an internal sample clock, I get an error saying that I can't use the PFI lines with any sample clock. But my goal is to use a rising edge (low-high) to trigger back.

So far, I can pull the PFI4 high and used a timer to make it low. But the resolution of the timer is milliseconds (software) range. I would like to have at least a few microseconds.

I also tried using implicit since manual said that it does not require any clock but still get no result. Also, I couldn't find an example of implied clock and don't know if PCI-6534 supports.

Note that I'm able to use the clock synchronization of sampling with other DIO (Port 0 to Port 3) lines and get the result I want. However, I would need to use all our custom Board 32 - DIO for analog-to-digital data lines. So, using the line of PFI laccuse is the only choice.

If you have ideas/pointers, please throw it at me, I'll try them. Thanks a lot for your help!

    See you soon,.
    Yaseen Khan

    Hi ykhan,

After validation, I noticed that it will not really work for what you are trying to do.  The PFI lines on your 6534 are I/O static only as shown in the DAQmx help.

You will be able to control these lines, but only with software timing.  You should be able to call and argue by their physical channel name.  I hope this helps!

    Kind regards

  • How to synchronize two chassis

    Dear all,

I want to synchronize two chassis, chassis first has RFSG 5673E (S) and other chassis a DAMA (S) 5663E, they are connected via MXI, is there anyone who has this experience and can support me to apply it. I know that he used NI-Tclk to synchronize in a single chassis and there is another kit of tools for mult chasis, but I have no idea on how to use it!  Thanks in advance

    Best regards

    Al-Rawachy

So I did a little research and to allow you to synchronize the two chassis together you must use a map of timing and synchronization in each frame so that you can share Tclk. This is for several reasons: first of all, as well as terminals IN CLK and CLK OUT, several PFI lines are required for the export of various signals used by T - CLK (i.e. Start, Stop and Sync triggers). In addition, the map of timing and synchronization is also necessary to replace clock background basket of 10 MHz, on the chassis of the slave with the master clock. It is essential for the two hunts reference the same clock synchronization. In addition, using a more stable clock source, as provided for in the calendar and map of synchronization, improve synchronization significantly.

From there, a chassis are sync'd up, TCLKing la 5665 and 5673E should be simple enough. It should be simply a matter of configuration tasks the DAA and RFSG, with a single trigger configured, before feeding the two tasks of the TCLK vi. Here is an example for you to study what explains this:

    http://www.NI.com/example/30254/en/

    I hope this helps.

  • Windows 7 Boot Camp and the MacBook Pro clocks sync error

    I have a dual boot MBPro (13-inch, mid-2012, non-retine) running El Capitan.

I installed Windows 7 32-bit, using Boot Camp, and everything works fine except there is a problem with the time.

Whenever I passes from Mac OS to Windows 7 & vice versa the time is displayed incorrectly.

    not connected to the internet.

While I'm online things are fine clocks updated subsequently.

Ago a separate 05:30 hour on both partitions difference.

I was looking at the internet, seeking to solve this problem and suggested this solution:

    Launch regedit.exe.
    Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation.
Right-click anywhere in the right pane & hit NEW > DWORD (32 bit) value.

Name RealTimeIsUniversal, and then double-click top & him give a value of 1.

Then, reboot to OS X and reboot in Windows. Now, this will result in a correct display of the time.

I'm not used to these changes, so before the well proceeding to be sure if this is a permanent, secure

solution OR is there something else that needs to be done?

    Thank you!

    Hi Sandeep,

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

Some of our community members reported that the solution you have included in your application got similar clock synchronization issues.

As a registry edit is a sensible step but you can try and check, but before that, you can take a backup of your registry.

To do: Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. Instead of going directly to the digitizer, I am currently trying foods I / data Q If the buck converter of frequencies at the Ch0 of 5761 card input (A/D)
in order to process the data immediately in the FPGA.

To get to the point, I'm trying to synchronize the clocks of the ASB and the 5761. as well as the module of synchronization,
as I am able to get the number correct samples at a certain frequency of sampling to the 5761 entered.
What I need to do to exclude the digitizer and have the 5761 in lieu of the digitizer?
I'm quite new to using NI DAMA and Module synchronization tools in Labview, but I've included the VI I am trying to run on the host side at least for
    a Visual idea.

    Richie

    Hi Richie,

It is possible to generate two different clocks, but you shouldn't need to. The best way to do it would be to spend the clock by Ref Out of 5653 for Clk synthesizer in the digitizer 5761. More information is found in the Starter guide for the SMU-5665. Replace just the 5622 by the 5761.

The LO is usually set on a certain signal IF according to the RF input to output. I don't think there is a way to change this, but you can set your scanner to wait for the correct values.

  • every meter of precise timestamp 6608 with gps, irig-b

We have a timer/counter 6608 which forms the basis of an astronomical photometer. We have signals TTL entering five channels and an IRIG-B gps clock. After a lot of help of NOR, we now have loops that have precisely timed durations (our ' integration time'). The problem is our GPS a timestamp. Although we have a GPS timestamp for each of these 'integration time', the actual times of these events (which, if the integration time was 1 s must increment one second at a time) to walk around +/-0.75 s. We can just figure out how to get this timestamp to reflect reality. Loops bang of the (correct) counts per second, but the clock cannot follow (if she does sometimes some integrations in a row). We need someone to associate the correct to the integration period beginning at a specific time (we understand the limitations at the ms level harware).

    see you soon,

    Tom harrison

    Hi, Tom Harrison.

There is an article in the knowledge base that presents a solution to this specific question: PXI-6608 not recognizing IRIG-B time signals GPS

    Things to check:

    (1) make sure your signal IRIG-B is the type "DC Level.

    (2) make sure that your IRIG-B signal is compatible with the PXI-6608.

    (3) make sure that fix the synchronization signal on the line of real-time clock synchronization.

For more information about the synchronization by GPS with the 6008, read through this knowledge base.

I hope that you are having a great day!
