Satellite P300-135 hangs when it is in mode 'sleep'

Greetings,

My brand-new P300 Satellite crashes sometimes mode "Eve" of Vista, and I can't recover with just one stop.
(eve of XP works fine)
I see that others have experienced similar problem, but in my case seems to happen when I accidentally Tickle (on USB) mouse while switching "Eve".
I just updated the BIOS with the latest version, I have disabled wake up on LAN features, but the problem is still on.
Also sometimes revives of idle if I accidentally touch the mouse, the event if the lid is closed.

What should be the mouse with the mode 'sleep'? I see no other option of power that is related to the USB.
Any other ideas?

Hello

It seems that this issue has nothing to do with the material of laptops because it works fine on Win XP.
As you say maybe external USB mouse causes this problem, and we must try to find out why it is happening

In the BIOS, you can find the option called USB Sleep and fresh.
Please disable it!

I'm not very well if it will help you, but you should try this m!

    Hello

    Here's my problem:

I removed VISTA and installed XP on my Satellite P300 - 135 (PSPC4E). After that, I downloaded all the drivers for XP and installed. But the wireless card is not recognised and in Device Manager there are two features of problem:
-Device on high definition audio bus modem and

I remember well the type of my wireless card and tried first with Realtek, but it did not work. Then I tried with Intel and Atheros drivers, but they do not have too much work.

I hope someone can help me, because I don't want to go back to VISTA.

    Someone has an idea?

    THX

Hmmm I have a few ideas.

First of all, you should check if the laptop cooling modules are free of dust and debris.
This prevents air circulation and cause of high temperature.
In addition, make sure that there is enough free space around the laptop.

Second idea; Use the Toshiba display driver. This driver supports protection of the GPU overheating. Use of that other drivers could lead to high temperature.

  • Re: Satellite P300 - no sound when connecting computer laptop to TV via HDMI

    Hello

I searched online on several sites and read the messages on this forum too but still could not find a solution that works.
I plugged in the cable and instantly got video but no sound. This cable works fine with my PS3.

I tried to set the audio device by default both HDMI and S/PDIF and reboot after each time, but it doesn't work!
Also, when I choose HDMI as device and try clicking on the Test, I get an error message saying "cannot play the test tone".

I checked for updates for the driver through Windows and it is said that there are no updates. I have a Satellite P300 laptop.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thank you
    Jen

This means you have a perfect television image after activating the HDMI port but the problem is its only?

    Hello

    I found your other thread:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/message.jspa?MessageID=143840

It seems that the problem might be related to the hardware failure and all you can do is contact the ASP in your country.
I put really know what might cause this problem but I think it could be something wrong with the motherboard

To check the device by a technician of ASP.

    Hello
I have a Satellite A300-1MP, brand new, with Vista 32.

When I put it in mode 'sleep', she devours battery. Something like 10-20% of the overnight!
Why is this happening? Is this normal? If not, how to fix? Is there something I can do or is there a problem with the laptop battery?

My old laptop is a Satellite M70-340, and standby mode, it would lose less than 5% per day!

    I'd appreciate your help!
    Thank you!

    Hello

You may need to disable certain options in the BIOS.
I'm talking about Wake up LAN and similar options.

I found this article from Toshiba:

+ Battery draining 15-20% when it is turned off during the night.
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB6B01N50013R01.htm

Disabling Wake up option should help.

  • All-in-one Officejet 4620 HP loses connection wireless network when it starts in mode 'sleep'

My printer HP 4620 all-in-one wireless works fine until it enters mode "Eve".  Once it goes into sleep mode, it is not wake up if a print job is sent to it.  If I wake up it manually by pressing the power button flashing, she does still not print.  If I've completely put off and then on again, the print job that has been put on hold on my computer will start printing, but it's a huge pain and loss of time almost everytime I want to print.  I installed all available updates.  I also assigned a static IP address in an effort to correct this, but nothing helped.  I see that others have complained about this problem, but I see not that anyone has had success resolving this.  My operating system is Windows Vista.  I use a Sys-Link Wireless G Router.  Thank you.

Ok.  My printer worked flawlessly for a few days, and I think I can declare the problem solved.  I think the problem started when I applied a HP recommended workaround for a different problem, that is, HPNetworkCommunicator.exe kept running and goes out 10-15 seconds, with the cursor displays activities whenever the program is running.  When I reversed this workaround solution, solve the problem wireless (but of course, I had once more the annoying problem with HPNetworkCommunicator.exe).  I then discovered that HP had published a software release that fixes the problem with HPNetworkCommunicator.exe.  I installed the new version of the software.  HPNetworkCommunicator.exe is now fixed, and my wireless connection remains stable even when the printer goes to sleep.

  • Re: Satellite P300-135 - Gothic 3 problem "FN".

The game is up to date, my drivers are up to date, but when all logo submissions that appear when entering a game are finished and menu screen appears, "Number lock" is automatically activated and cannot stop this function no matter what I do. The solution I came up with that was to remap the game for NumLock keyboard settings on.

Can anyone give a solution to this problem, or there at - there a way to disable the keys "FN"?

As far as I know Toshiba Flash cards can be disabled. You can do if you open the settings for Flash cards. You can find it under Start menu > all programs > Toshiba > utilities.

    Try it. Maybe using.

  • Satellite P300-135 system issues using two HARD drives

About a month ago I bought a faster hard drive for my laptop (because it wasn't hard drive 5400 RPM by default), and computer technicians to the store where I bought my laptop has recommended a Seagate Momentus 7200.4 250410.

The first couple of days everything went smooth, but after that, every second, restart my OS (Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit) reports of problems with my video card, sometimes 'Windows cannot initialize the device of this hardware driver. (Code 37) ", the other time"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. " (Code 43) ", and when this error occurs, the keyboard and the keyboard do not work too.
I made a simple and primitive diagnosis by deleting the second hard drive and rebooted 5 or 6 times, and everything went very well.

So I think the problem is that the laptop has not enough power for two hard disks. Is it true, or is my phone begins to fail?

Sorry for my mistakes of language, but English is my second language.

    Hello

Usually the second HDD should not affect the performance of the system, but it of impossible
So maybe you should test the specifications and performance of OS using another HARD drive maybe a HARD disk that takes in charge of 5400 RPM

  • Satellite P300-1EI - hangs upward after Windows Update

After update to Windows Installer the last update (27/12/08), Windows Vista always hangs up on the screen "Please wait" after the reboot.

After the call to Toshiba support, I was told that it was advisable to do a full restore from the HARD drive and disable Windows Update.

Y at - it a patch/update driver/firmware to fix this problem and be able to activate Windows Update?

    Hello!

It s unclear not for me it's such a program or patch available for this program.

What you can do is to start in safe mode and remove the update.
If you have no success, I agree with the support from Toshiba. You must perform a HARD drive recovery. Press F8 at startup, choose 'Repair your computer' and follow the instructions in the menu

    Good bye

  • Re: Satellite P300-135: No. SPDIF in 'His' Panel after the installation of SP1

Before this one had speakers, HDMI and SPDIF.
Now - only speakers and HDMI.

After all the works of S/PDIF through speakers device, but only in stereo mode.
    I need 5.1 DD!

Could be another reason for that?

    Hello

The SPDIF port is certainly available on this laptop.
I remember that some devices can be hidden, if they are not enabled.

So maybe you can do a right click in the Panel-> Sound and could mark called options hidden devices and features see the disabled.

    Then the SPDIF should reappear.

    Check it!
