Codec of Tandberg C series - DVI - I

Hi guys,.

I'm trying to understand the DVI ports on a codec C60. I need to connect a VGA (from PC) input and an Hdmi output (on a plasma screen). I can only find vga-vga cables and hdmi to hdmi cable (good quality).

I want to know what type of DVI/VGA and DVI to HDMI adapter that I need to buy. DVI - I ports on the codec.

For the vga cable should I buy an adapter DVI - A, even a vga DVI - I adapt, just not a DVI - D adapter?

For the hdmi cable should I buy a hdmi to DVI - D, even a DVI adapter - I adapt, just not a DVI - A adapter?

Is the corect above or not?

Thank you

Silviu.

> Cable vga should I buy an adapter DVI - A, even a vga DVI - I adapt, just not a DVI - D adapter?

OK, you can use a VGA-to-DVI-I (or VGA-to-DVI-A), but also have the choice to use the VGA-DVI-I cable (or a VGA-DVI-A cable) that could have more choices with lower price.

> Cable hdmi should I buy a hdmi to DVI - D, even a DVI adapter - I adapt, just not a DVI - A adapter?

OK, DVI - D or DVI - I adapter works for your installation, but you can use the HDMI connection on the monitor directly, without conversion DVI-HDMI.

Please note that some of the coded C-series has several interfaces of HDMI output and you may need to change the configuration of role of display to the first or second monitor.

    Hello

To pc with VGA output, you use a VGA/DVI-I or DVI - A VGA cable.

For the connection to the screen if your screen has a hdmi input, you use an hdmi cable to hdmi.

If your screen input dvi, then it depends on what type of dvi input there. If DVI - I or DVI - D, you can use HDMI/DVI-I or HDMI to DVI - D cable. If the DVI - A, then you probably need a digital analog converter between the two.

  • Using the Codec C90 Tandberg T1 with CUCM

    Hi all

is it possible to register the Codec C90 a Tandberg T1 to the CUCM?

We are currently trying to save one, but the State of the record is still "failed: 485 ambiguous." The CUCM tells us that the record is rejected. Is it possible that the problem is the product ID, which is "Cisco Telepresence T1". We can only select C90 Cisco CUCM on. If it does not, and the device is rejected.

Is there a way to fix this? Perhaps saying the C90 is therefore more a T1? We have already tried to remove all optionkeys, but there is a 'unknown' type which cannot be deleted. Could this be the key T1?

    I hope good answers :)

    Kind regards

    Jannik

Looking at the matrix unit CUCM package compatibility, TANDBERG T Series end points are not supported, IE: are not.

If you do not want to use the codec C90 T1 of the TANDBERG itself and not the Q1 as a whole, you may be able to change the product key for the T1 be a C90 asking new license keys.  See t3-c90-codecs.

  • C - Series codecs update the firmware of the device PHD 720 p

    Hey there everyone,

A question that I think I know the answer to, but it would be good to get confirmation.  As we know, if a doctorate 1080 p camera is connected to a codec of the C series, when a software update is applied on the codec that includes an update of the firmware of the camera, the camera is upgraded once the update to the codec is completed.

The same will happen if a doctorate 720 p camera is attached to the C Series codec instead?  I do not, but it would be good to get confirmation.  First tests showed that it will not.

    Thank you!

    Hi Bob,

You're right, it will not.  Series package C does not contain the software of the camera for the 720 p camera, and no improvement will happen.

For 720 p and 1080 p camera camera firmware are different.

    Hello Chet,

Here is a link for the Tandberg MXP user guide

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/TD/docs/Telepresence/endpoint/MXP-serie...

At page 262, you will see the list of the pins out of the 6000MXP codec and 302 page gives you the pinout of the Wave2 camera entry.

  • C60 DVI input 3 Auto Detect using a DVI to VGA splitter

    Hello

We install a codec C60 using a splitter DVI input n ° 3 for the presentation source (DVI - I male to DVI - D & VGA Splitter cable's female adapter)

The DVI input source is configured as Auto-Detect.  Administrator's Guide confirms this seting automatically detects the signal is analog (VGA) or digital (DVI or HDMI).

The problem is the codec can't really switch from one source to another.   We do not seek to send two signals at once, but rather stable wether VGA and HMDI will be detected by the codec according to the entry sends the laptop.

can anyone confirm if this is a limitation of the codec, or bug in firmware or even simply impossible without adding additional hardware.

    see you soon,

    Mel

    Hello

    Yes, auto-detection works for me.

  • Content preview on SX20?

I'm missing this option, or you can preview the content on a SX20 when using the remote control?

I know how to get an overview of the content on the Touch8 and the Touch10, but can't seem to understand on the remote SX20.

If I understand it is correct, you are in a video conference and you want to preview the content of the presentation you send on the screen until you send actually, similar to what the EX series is?  If Yes, you must use a tactile device to allow this functionion, and that said, I don't know if this is possible on the largest such codecs of the C series, but I don't have a button to test.

  • Cisco profile series - vs vs C40 C20 C60 codec

    Hi people,

Is there an online guide that can give me some information about comparisons between codecs c20, c40 and c60 on video profile 42 series systems and why it has such a big difference in the price that is, what have you found to this extra cost?

Also, is it possible to connect an external projector codec to view the video of the codec on the overhead?

    Thank you

    Hello.

Yes, it will be possible. You have several inputs and outputs on different codecs.

The main difference between the C series are physiqueet inputs and outputs and call functions.  See the tables below.

  • TMS not related loss of package codecs C series

    Hello

I have a TMS system (13.0) and a mixture of C20, C40 and older MXP endpoints. While trying to track down a video problem I had, I noticed that the TMS is not presenting the any of the conferences on the C Series codecs in conferences of packet loss. I see several entries for the older MXP endpoints but nothing involving endpoints of series C. I looked at the logs on the codec itself, and he showed that packet loss was produced on the Conference in question. Example from eventlog/all journal entry the below:

    Jul 10 19:44:13 arm4 video4: 410097.85 i DEC_FSM-4: decode Err: 76836 framework: (lost packets) ERROR 0x00000a40 | Corrupt data. Concealment applied | H264D_ERR_COPROCESSOR_STREAM_BUFFER_ERROR

Anyone know if I need to enable something different on codes of series C for reports using the TMS packet loss or what I'm missing here?

    Thank you

    Steven

    Hello Steven

C-series, MX and EX relate not to TMS packet losses. This option works only with MXP.

You should check on the endpoints itself, as TMS will never show that.

There were enhencment CSCtq54891 open there for that and you can watch it via Cisco Bug Toolkit:

  • CDP support in TC4.2.0 for the C Series codecs

    Hello.

I saw in an administrator's guide (TC4.0) EX TC4.2 was to support the CDP.

I don't see anything in the software and I was wondering if anyone knew if or when CDP support would be available.

We run Auto SmartPorts on 3750 X stacks for the codecs in the series C with active DHCP, but the macros seem to cause high CPU utilization on batteries with more than 6 switches.

CDP would be a nice alternative.

    Does anyone have news?

    See you soon

    David

CDP is available in TE4 and is planned for TC5.

PS: The TC5 is coming soon.

  • TANDBERG CODEC upgrade to the latest version 3000MXP path

    Hello

The company that I work has a version of the TANDBERG CODEC 3000MXP runing software

    F5.0 PAL

I know that this unit is old, but I was wondering if it would be possible to upgrade to the latest version F9.31. And if yes what is the upgrade path.

    See you soon

    Hi Alvaro,

As Jens has mentioned, you should be able to go directly from F5--> F9, but the recommended way would be worth the extra step to make sure.  (I was expecting to see a F8 step in there, because there was an update of the firmware of camera in F8).

If you have a service contract on your device, you should have access to all the keys to unlocking via the Licensing Portal, so, again, do an additional step should not be too much a problem.

If you do not have a service contract, you may be interested by this safety notice , which should help you up to version 9.  If you go this route, you should also ask the TAC request for unblocking F7 key so that you can make the gradual upgrade (or you go directly with the 5-> 9 if they don't give it to you).

PS: Here is the thread with the recommended upgrade path: https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2110507

  • Micrófono activo para codecs series C (C40 - C60)

    Buenas tardes amigos

    the pregunta es:

possible transformar UN Mic table 20 of the series to be used in a Codec C40 SX?

the idea are encienda el indicator led Mute (en rojo) y el desbloqueo indicadro (green)

el mejor los casos o if exist a mic para C series as haga lo mismo as el Mic of the SX Series

    thank sus comentarios

    Raul Navarro

    Hi Raul,

No, it is not possible to operate the microphone on table SX20 and maintain the Mute function operational on a C40.  C40 use a balanced XLR input that does not include the functions Mute, and there is no way to do it with a standard microphone.

You would need an external device to send API commands to C40 or reproduce orders IR to press mute on the remote control.

As far as I know, nothing freely available on the market that makes it out of the box.
