color HP 6600 print quality has deteriorated despite cleaning

I tried all three levels of cleaning, and I still have horizontal lines on print test page in boxes of color at the bottom.  I can't, I'm trying to print green or blue.  Can my 6600 be saved?

Hello tomster0075,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you get horizontal lines on the page of test and in the colored boxes using the Officejet 6600. I will do my best to help you! The only suggestion I can supply following this entire document from HP on the streaks of ink fixing faded prints and other common Print quality problems

You can try to clean the print head again until you receive a satisfactory quality. Try to align this printer as well since you receive a few lines on this test page.

If you receive the same question, please contact HP technical support for further assistance. Click here to read: worldwide Contact HP.

Good luck.

    Hi @Al24,

I read your post and see that when printing now, the image looks as if someone has dribbled water down causing him the toners to face each other. I will definitely do my best to help you.

    You use Genuine HP Toner?
What are the levels of toner?

Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

    Run the printer calibration.
On the configuration of the system key touch printer, print quality, color calibration calibrate now.

You can adjust the brightness in the application you are printing from, if this isn't a problem with the hardware with the printer.

  • HP Color Laserjet 2605dn: Print is washed out/completely wilted on printer 2605dn

We have a Laserjet 2605dn HP color printer has intermittent printing problems. Most of the time, the quality of the printed output is very well, but from time to time, the print quality deteriorates completely. After a while, printing then returned back its normal quality.

The printer is on a network and serves as WIndows XP/7/8/10 and Linux machines as it has throughout his life. He has never had a genuine HP toner cartridges installed. It is not heavily used, we print usually less than 100 pages per week, often less.

The problem is that out of all the colors and black, gets so bad as to be unreadable. The printed output is so washed out it's (almost) impossible to read anything through the entire page. This can happen for all the pages of an entire document, but often it will print the first part of a multipage fine print job and then the quality deteriorates gradually to illegibility. Subsequent print jobs will also sometimes unreadable, but are also likely to print correctly. There seems to be trigger (that we can determine) this behavior or when it will happen well.

While the printer was used for a few years, he printed out a little more than 20 000 pages in total. This leads me to think that age should not be a problem. We replaced all the cartridges, tried recalibration, print cleaning pages, all without success. I found a solution for a problem of fading Magenta also requires cleaning the mirrors, but our problem is not that same as - everything fades to nothing in our printer, it is not a case of a single color fade a little, is much more radical than that.

Suggestions as to how we could solve this problem? Is there additional information that might help diagnose the cause and suggest a fix?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

It looks like I won't get my hands dirty inside this printer after all. The boss decided it would probably be too annoying overall for me (US) to try to fix it. So he decided to buy a new color printer and remove it.

Thanks for the answers to my questions.

Now I just need to find how to mark it as "resolved", or otherwise close it, as appropriate in this forum.

  • Photosmart more B210a no impression and the poor print quality options

I have a Mac running osx10.9.4 and a connected wireless, B210a printer all-in-one. Everything works well until a recent update that removed all the printing options (color / gray scale / etc. of paper type and print quality)

The last thing to print very well were some photos in July. Since then whenever I try to print, the black is so fake and colors too bright - almost as if she always strives to pring on photo paper. When we do a re alignment or own heads, prints in black as it should, but every other time, it is terrible. I am a independent and I occasionally print estimates out to customers... but I can't at the moment.

My son has the same problem with the same printer of his macbook (unknown model / system information)

Don't know what to do and don't want not throw everything out the window in a fit of anger... Please help!

    Hello

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

Sorry to hear about the recent issues with the B210a Photosmart on Mac 10.9.4. The printer will copy without any quality problem?

    I would try the following on the Mac;

    1. Reset the printing on Mac system. (Mac OS x: how to reset the printing system)
    2. Repair disk permissions (ignore the statement about 10.7)
    3. Download and install this: v.2.16.1 for OS X HP printer drivers.
    4. Add the printer using print and scan from system preferences.

Let me know if this helped.

  • Keep hp 6700 in good shape: automatic weekly print quality diagnostics page?

    Hi all

I recently purchased the Officejet HP 6700 Premium, and I'm worried to keep in good condition, because I had to replace my previous canon due to a print head stuck printer (the photo a black, I has not been used for a long time).

Given that I have don't print a lot (but I use a lot the ADF scanner) and the other members of the family printed sporadically, most of the time in black and white, I would like to setup a printer to automatically print a diagnostic page every week to make sure that everything is fine.

Using eprint, IFTTT and google calendar, I automatically send a file to print (I have already set up the printer to wake up a few minutes before the calendar event) with the black and the color bars (someone suggests to print the homepage of google because it has many colors but uses little ink).

Is there a chance that I can directly print the print quality diagnostics page (so I can fully diagnose a problem if it occurs)?

    Thanks for the attention

    Cheers to the Italy!

    Hey,.

To clarify for you and meet your new questions about auto maintenance printers.

The maintenance cycle occurs randomly. It will happen after any power, after that print jobs (not everyone) and once that it printhead to 'think' health is poor. As mentioned above the printer must be turned on for this to happen.

You can if you still want to print the odd test page just to check once a month would be adaquet.
If you want to be energy saving and are to turn it off, then you would like it to be turn at least that runs the automated service that happens every week.

I hope this clarifies it for you. Thanks for your posts.
