    Hi @Vishalwagh123,

Welcome to HP's Forums a great way to get help. It's a great place to find answers and advice! Thanks for the post.

I understand you have questions turn on/off the device and you must press the power button several times for him to start. I'll be happy to help you.

Please try these steps first. Perform a hard reset.

    • Steps to do:
    • Turn off the computer and unplug the charger. Then remove the battery.
    • Press and hold the power button on the unit for 15 seconds to carry out the static electrical charges inside the machine.
    • Replace the battery and the charger plug it back. Try to turn on the computer.

If it fires up immediately the issue is resolved. Otherwise, try to turn on the computer without the battery and check that it works immediately.

In your message, you said that it works very well with the charger. However, I need more clarity here to help you better.

It works immediately when the adapter is connected and the power button is pushed only once?

If you again press the power button several times, it may be a faulty power button, and you will need to contact the hotline at the service of the unit.

Let me know what happens when you try to turn on the unit without the charger?

Hope the problem is solved without hassle. Please keep me in the loop.

  • Pressing the power button opens the marshmallow camera app

So 2 days ago, I was finally able to update to the marshmallow Lollipop :-)
-J' found that endurance mode is disapparead and I have heard that it is replaced by: "Optimization of the battery" or snoozing?

I really miss stamina mode, is there something similar I can use inside the android Marshmallow?

I tried something inside the setting "block yoptimization", but it isn't really the same as endurance.

Furthermore, I have a new problem that has ever taken place on lolipop and this is when I press the "lock screen" button sometimes the phone vibrates and opens the camera application?

But it is not allways but sometimes.

-Do you have someone with experience who?

The app of endurance, I don't think that there is a need for additional explanations that you can search the forum:

    https://talk.sonymobile.com/T5/software-updates/how-to-configure-the-doze-mode-and-waits-in-marshmal...

On the second question, you have enabled settings - display option to start the camera on a key double power.

    -Mayur gala

    Hi Mayur,

    Welcome to the community,

Sound signal can be used as a diagnostic indicator. The computer may emit a series of beeps at startup if errors or problems. This series of beeps identifies a problem and is called "beep code".

See the table below which shows the beep codes and the possible problem:

    Overview of beep Code
    Beeps Description Possible cause
1 ROM BIOS checksum failure The map system, covers BIOS corruption or errors ROM failure
2 No memory (RAM) detected Memory or memory slot failure
    3

    • Time-Of-Day Clock test failure
    • Gate A20 failure

  • Tecra 5200 - nothing happens after pressing the power button

When I press the 'power' of my Tecra 5200 kids button nothing happens, only the front panel power led lights, but laptop does not start - in fact, nothing happens.

    Earlier, I lived as a result of problems;
-the internal HARD drive didn't work, so I put the HARD drive in the Select Bay adapter and switched 2 hard drives (for each child 1 HDD with their own software / games)
-computer had very hot on the surface (I had tried to open the computer and to clean inside, but it is still very warm)

    Now to my question.
-If the computer does not start, is because of the HARD internal disk problem (found out once in awhile, he recognizes an old HDD, I had attached to internal port, otherwise the DVD player was not working)- and an easy repair is possible
    - or would it be possible that the CPU got too hot and bust, which means that I spend any money on the repair.

I hope someone can help and give his opinion.

    > Toshiba guy;
    > Please publish guides on your website on how to open the 'old' notebooks, in fact no one would spend money to repair them.
I agree with you. I don't think that someone will spend a lot of money to pay reparations for these old books.

  • Problem intermittent boot Tecra S2 after pressing the power button

    Hi all
I have a Tecra S2 with the 6600go GFX card.
The machine is large but presents the following problem.

After that the machine was interrupted for a while it will start not reliable.
You press the power button. Either as soon as you release the power button or a second later (changes every time) the green power light comes on. The fan spins at high speed then slows down to a crawl a few seconds later (as usual) but LCD does not illuminate.
Also when it does not start USB devices are not initialized (I have a product key dongle which will flash if it is not initialized - when you start the laptop properly this dongle on continuous - a normal start, it is initialized before the ramtest BIOS)

I've updated the bios a couple of times - it is now 2.4 (I noticed the power button timings were changed in the V1.9) but this has not solved the problem.

I tried to start on the current with battery removed, ca battery & battery only - the result is the same.

I can start later button power until the laptop off, wait a few seconds and then try to get back to work.
After several of these cycles, it will begin eventually to the top. Recently, it seems that it took several attempts before start-up.

If I have used the laptop for an hour or two and then turn it off it will start almost always a first time.

If I put the laptop to sleep (orange slow flashing power LED) then half the time that it will continue when you press the power button - the other half of the power LED will switch to the green but the LCD display remains inactive & I switch the power button.

Any help or advice would be welcome.

    Thanks in advance,
    Robin

    Hello

    This seems very odd.
First of all: you can boot from USB only if the floppy drive is attached.
You can boot from these devices USB-drive floppy/disk HARD/ODD/LAN.

In my opinion the other unit starts the sound not as issues not a software problem.
I think there could be something wrong with the hardware. But it is not easy to say what it could be exactly.
You know, the look on the material is necessary.
I recommend you contact Toshiba service partner in your country.
They have much more experience in such cases. Guys can run tests and then can give you correct information about the failure.

  • Satellite P875 - need to press the FN button to use the function keys?

    Hello

I have a W7 Satellite P875 running and something weird just started to happen.

My F1 - F12 keys and reverse obtained special functions.
I used to need only press the buttons for special functions and now I need to press "Fn" otherwise I get the regular F1 - F12 options.

I checked the system at startup and then setting it always says the special functions are those by default, but this isn't the case. I tried switching between the keys F1 to F12 and special functions as value by default, but little matter I do only the keys F1 to F12 are the default ones.

Any solution or any driver I have to re - install to make it back to normal?

I must say at the same time, I started having problems with my iTunes library with conflicts, I think with my AVG Antivirus. Suffice to say where there is a known conflict between AVG and the system that could influence that. I was also messing around aound with msconfig to try to sort that conflict but I returned to the way it was then it should not be the cause.

    Hello

This is controlled in the BIOS as well as it can be changed in the settings of ToshibaHW.

Also, go into the BIOS press F2 at the beginning.
Now choose Advaced and here you will see the point of the System Configuration.
Go ahead and finally you will see the option called:

    * Function Mode button (without pressing the FN key) *.

  • Why Satellite Pro A300 does not start when you press the power button?

Suddenly my new Satellite Pro A300 does not start correctly when you press the power button. The situation is the following: when I press the power button is displayed the opening of Toshiba (Leading Innovation) and the disappers image quickly. Then there is a black screen for about 30 seconds. There is a rectangular frame with the text Microsoft Corporation under. And nothing happens however long wait.

In order to get with the trial starting I then shut down the computer by pressing the power button until the computer turns off. ("The hard way to close")
Now, I press the power button shortly to turn on the computer. Then, the computer starts normally with the photo to open Toshiba and after a few seconds, I wonder to open the computer in safe mode or in normal mode. I now choose to open in normal mode and the computer opens normally and is ready to work.

What should I do to get a normal departure procedure?

When the laptop starts normally (after choosing normal mode) stop your laptop properly using START > shut down option. Next launch should be normal.

When the OS is moving towards the low irregularly will always ask you how to start this new (secure or normal mode).
The same thing happen on my Satellite A300.

  • Satellite L550-1CW does not start by pressing the power button / stop

I have a Toshiba Satellite L550-1cw that won't start, lights up when I press the power button all the lights at the front, the fan starts and he is looking for a HARD drive for about 2 seconds and then stops.

I tried a new HARD drive, but the same happens.
I was told that all this must be ignored and buy a new one that is not an option.
I love this laptop and want to run again as this is the best I have ever owned.

    Help, please

    Andrew

Can you give us more information on this vulnerability?
You see something on the screen after pressing the power button?
You can access the BIOS by pressing the F2 key immediately after switching on the device?

Despite this whole issue, I think that if nothing is visible on the screen it could be a serious problem with one of the following: RAM modules, motherboard, CPU/GPU.

From my experience the RAM memory modules are not very expensive (2nd hand might be good enough) and the replacement isn t very delicate in the case where the faulty memory causes this problem, the laptop could be set for a little money.

But in case of problems of motherboard, laptop repair procedure could be very expensive.

  • Satellite A200 23W stop seconds after pressing the power button / stop

    Hello all :)

I just bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite A200 23W a few hours ago.

I try to unplag and replag (on the laptop as well as Jack) power cable but again no result.

    Any ideas of what past?
    Thank you very much

I don't know what the problem is here and, in my view, should not be so important to you. Contact your dealer as soon as possible and to talk with him. Explain the situation. You will get may be new notebook. Otherwise, please contact the nearest authorized maintainer and let check your laptop.

The laptop is brand new and it should work. Please do not wait too long.
