Complete backup of the drive... Problem

I am running microsoft XP Professional Version 2002. Service Pack3. I'm having a problem with my full disk backup. When you save information about this computer, it stores up to 20 minutes and then send the following message is displayed:-warning cannot open "C:\". Settings\local_user\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\ documentsand content..., then it follows reason: not enough quota is available to process this command... It is a new problem that I've been backup my drive hard using the same methods and equipment for the years... Help, please. Signed... II.

You need to tell us the name of the backup program you are using. I suspect that is native to Windows XP (and VERY limited) ntbackup.exe program. But you must check this out!

If you only save the data and since there is no need to store temporary Internet files, you should be able to automatically customize what to save (ensuring that you back up the contents of your TIF file).
Finally, what do you exactly by the term "disk full backup '? Be specific!

My HP 1018 drivers have been corrupted and I tried to download the new drivers. It did not have the printer working. I tried to uninstall and reinstall via the print and Scan doctor, but he informed me that the HP uninstaller program is missing and I have to do this via the Windows Control Panel.

There is, however, no mentioned in the operative program HP program uninstall from the control panel.

How can I remove old drivers?

    Hi JD_123,

Download and install the driver based on the host from the link below.

Base driver HP LaserJet Hostbased Plug-and-Play

  • Complete installation of the driver does not seem to take

I have a HP5520 all in one. It was working fine a few days ago. It is used to open a screen on my computer when I click on the printer icon and asked me if I wanted to use USB or wireless. When I choose that I'd get another screen I think where I could choose to scan a document.

A few days ago the icon to display the first screen where I select what USB or without wire would work, but when I select and click OK, nothing would happen. She would not open anything more. I was able to print again if I asked him to print something and that I could still scan if used a repair HP doctor program. In other words the doctor program go through tests and would say that everything was fine and then asked me if I wanted to do a test analysis. I could use this feature to scan test to analyze something.

I downloaded and installed the full driver for HP 5520 package all in one several times this morning. It goes through the process of installation but then when I try to use the printer, for example, I go to START and click the 5520, it displays the dialog box indicating "install the HP printer.  The HP Wizard from the support page says that all is well. But it seems that now I can't even put this first screen that allows me to choose USB or wireless. It is not just open the program more on my computer.

It will print if I choose to print something from the computer.  But it will not open the dialog box that allows me to access the scan feature.

When I scanned a document to the screen on the printer itself, and I chose to scan my computer. He went through the scan function and I could see the document on the small screen on the printer, but it didn't pop up on the computer at all, so nothing I could do with it, as record or something.

Help. I tried everything I can think of.

I bought a new Dell i3847 and it has Windows 7 Pro 64 bit installed at the factory on it.

I wanted to make a complete backup of the system, but the Dell Backup and Recovery software does not allow me to make a backup of the system.  In addition, I was unable to create a system recovery disk using Dell backup and restore.

I can't use the drive system recovery expected Dell because it clearly states Windows 8.1

    (1) why is a Win 8.1 drive included with a Win 7 Pro 64 bit system?

    (2) what is the problem with Dell backup and recovery that she:

    (a) cannot create a recovery disc factory

    (b) allow me to create a backup system so I can go back to the factory State

It has been 2.5 hours and it is still "initialize disk" to create a recovery of the plant.  It usually somewhere fails during initialization or in writing.    Spend hours for each failed attempt to create a factory recovery disc is NOT GOOD!

The factory restore disk was finally created.

Dell is now a person pays create a backup system and the user must download a update to do so.

Microsoft has a tool to create a system image and make a recovery / restore disc which is free.

So, I used DBaR do restore disk by the factory.

  • Try to change the drive letter, but get the error "the parameter is incorrect."

I am trying to upgrade my PC to run Windows 7 64 - bit on a new Intel Solid State Drive (SSD). I install Windows 7 from scratch on the new SSD (which uses the drive letter J) have just completed and changed the drive letter of my original system from C to M.

My intention was to reuse the drive letter C to the SSD, but the Win 7 disk management tool will not allow the use of C. "All I get is a' setting is incorrect" error message.

My first thought was to check the location of the Windows page file. It was indeed using drive J, so I put the pagefile on the D drive instead and restarted my PC.  However, this has not fixed the problem. I always get "the parameter is incorrect" when I try to use the letter C.

What else could be the cause of this problem?

    David

I tried a change of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices registry but it is just screwed to the top of the new installation of Windows on the SSD (it starts in a unusable mode "is not a real installation"). I was not too concerned by what I had already made my decision to reinstall Windows 7 after making changes in bios to disable all disks except the SSD and force a boot from the installation of Win 7 DVD.

This relocation is now complete and the new partition on the SSD system has the C drive letter. A reboot with the other shows, active records that the original disc of BONE has been reassigned to the next available drive letter.

My problem is thus solved. If it was the only way to do so is now a moot point.

The driver problem is not to do with Microsoft.

CANON has written drivers for their products.

If CANON does not write a driver for your model of printer for Windows 7, there's no.

Try a Vista of CANON printer driver. If no available Vista printer, or it does not work, you are out of luck.

  • Backup external hard drive

I recently bought a computer with Vista Home Premium 32 bit. I attached an external hard drive to it. I want to keep the clean C drive with only the OS and programs held on this subject. The external hard drive contains files of data and images. I have attached a second external hard drive to the computer. I want to be able to plan a backup from the first disk to the second external drive, but the backup and Recovery wizard seems to allow only a backup of the drive C. is there something that I am missing in the wizard? Or is there something else I can do for my first external backup drive?

    Thanks for the help!

    Hi rdenn_58,

    Thanks for posting your request.

The back up files Wizard, included in Windows Vista Home Basic Edition, Windows Vista Home Premium, Windows Vista professional, Windows Vista business and Windows Vista Ultimate Edition, allows you to save your files and data from an external hard drive, CD, DVD, network location and also a secondary hard drive. Although there is no option to schedule a backup to an external drive to a second external drive using the Back Up Files Wizard.

To copy or move files from one external drive to another, you can use the following steps:

You can create a backup of the files on a CD or DVD before you copy or move files.

To copy the files from the first disk to the second external drive, you can use Windows Explorer by going to: start > click computer > double click on the drive letter for the first external drive and then copy the files / folders that you want to back up, and then paste the second external disk drive by opening a second window of the computer. You can also drag and drop files from the first disk to the second external drive using Windows Explorer.

For reference below is a useful link to more information. using the backup center and restoration:

  • Driver problem OS Vista EDITION Home Premium

Some applications such as ADOBE, HP, touchpad and drivers etc do not reach all the updates.  Tried to download Windows Vista Driver and got Error 1606 could not access network location %alluserprofile%/start menu/programs /. Someone recommended that everything should be deleted in the hard drive and a recovery disk to reload Vista to solve the driver problem.  Sounds extreme, but I'm not computer savy.  Any suggestions are appreciated.  Thank you.

    Hi abgolf3,

The question may be how the new hard drive has been formatted.  Take a look at the way in which the reader is implemented by clicking Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > double-click on computer management > double-click storage.  Is all the space on the disk are responsible?  If so, take a look at these two documents for your problem:

    Mark a partition as active

Format a hard drive or partition to NTFS format

  • Problem with the PC Backup on the external DRIVE on the network drive home.

I made backups of my laptop wirelessly through my router to my connecting external hard drive attached to my desktop, when I used Microsoft OneCare. Since then, OneCare is being abandoned, I decided to go to the basics of Microsoft (MS). Unfortunately, Ms Essentials doesn't have the features of OneCare. I try to perform a backup using the backup and Restore Center, however, I get an error message when I put backup settings to location network - error code: 0 x 80070534, no mapping between account names and security IDS was done... the results. Is there a KB or a fix for this problem? I've looked everywhere for answers and keep looking, however, I have found no solid solution (especially scams, i.e. pc scanners and fixers of registry error). How is it that I could make a backup without problem with OneCare (that I have no more:{{class=fontblue}} {.}) Now I try to do through the Center backup and restore, the backup does not work! It makes no sense at all!  I have Windows OS: Vista Home Premium 32-bit 2 Gb RAM SP2; HARD drive external: Maxtor 3200 (320Gb) hdd personal

Thanks, I found the problem. I had to uncheck the ReadOnly property on the folder that I traced to use for my backup location on my HARD drive. In truth, the property read-only (checkbox) is not checked, it is filled (designates the system setting) with a green square in the box (on my Windows XP desktop). I'm sure that others have missed this little nuisance. It's cheating. I don't know how many times I looked at the folder that I use for my backups, forget to realize that the ReadOnly is the default setting for the file. I no longer get the error message: 0 x 80070534, no mapping between account names and security IDS was done. I can't believe it's just as simple as that! My backups work fine.

Karena, R, thank you for your time and help in any way.

  • HP Pavilion 15 laptop: HP Pavilion 15 laptop: System Restore completed successfully. The problem is not resolved.

About 3-4 weeks ago, my computer found himself in a reboot loop. I was not online at the time where he was probably not due to an update.

After going on the HP Web site, it was first suggested that the issue could be overheating due to dust. I followed the instructions but it does not work.

Diagnosis is directed which has determined that there are no problems with the hardware or memory.

Then the site suggested that I do a Refresh system or a system restore. I tried the cooling system. It did not work.

I contacted HP Tech Support hotline and they told me to update the drivers. Drivers cannot be updated / installed (by me at least) in Safe Mode, if it does not work.

Then told me the only choice I had was to do a Factory Reset/System Restore.  After the purchase of an external HARD drive and backup of my files, I tried to do the factory reset. I received a prompt to insert a disc, but computer did not come with a disc. If it does not work.

Then I was told by support that I had to buy "recovery disc" or a new copy of Windows 8.1. Technical support said it was the only way to solve the problem. By chance, I found another video that shows how to access recovery tool of real system since menu troubleshooting at start-up.

System recovery completed successfully. However, while creating the new installation of Windows 8.1 (implementation name, country, favorite colors, e-mail etc.) the original reboot loop problem started. If it does not work. Even worse, because the Windows installation is incomplete - and can complete because of the reboot loop - I can access more fashion is safe.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Miracles would net you have my firstborn (eat too in any case).

Okay, so I had to take the machine to a technician. What she said is that it was certainly not a hardware problem. Its best estimate is that my computer As witn infected a Trojan horse which subsequently transferred, entered the BIOS and corrupted partition.

Short history of Tech, they fixed by redoing the BIOS and installing a new copy of Windows 8.1. I asked about the other options that I received. She explained that a remote technical support could not fix the problem, nor recovery disks could solve the problem.

My advice to all who encounter such a complex problem, when you contact HP Support don't forget to request contact information for a local HP technician, licensed (I only asked for this in desperation by accident). Just in case your problem is not easily diagnosed or solvable, it might just save you some time, money and spare you confusion.

As for how I got infected with the Trojan possible in the first place, no idea. The only thing I can think is that I've opened an e-mail looking strange but legitimate to someone I didn't know. However, it was about 6 months ago and the problem started a month before, so I at least do not know if there is a link. However, it is always good advice not to open strange e-mails. Note that the technician did say that even if I had Norton installed, it would not be able to automatically detect the problem. (I wonder if I called Norton technical support if they could have helped or pointed me in the right direction faster. But even once, any comments or information I received from HP technical support gave usable clues. "And refresh the system that has been proposed did uninstall Norton).

So, I have a computer to work again. I hope this info can be useful to someone and avoid frustration. Thanks to everyone who took the time to read my post.
