"Connecting to LAN" doesn't have a valid IP configuration

Yesterday I just internet browsing and all of a sudden my connection died. I check on my ethernet connection and he says that he is not identified. I started to get many fixes and I couldn't find one that solves my problem. My ethernet connection was initially a public connection until I changed it to a working connection where it still does not work. I also tried to diagnose the "connect to the Local network' and it comes up with"Connecting to the Local network"doesn't have a valid IP configuration.

IPconfig:

No IP address is valid:

Hello Alan,.

Thanks for posting your question on the forum of the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

1. you made any hardware or software changes on your computer before the show?
2. What is the brand and model of your computer?

Thank you to provide detailed information on the issue and your efforts to resolve.

This problem may occur because of corrupted or incorrect settings of Internet connection.

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

Method 1:
IP address to renew and check. Please follow these steps:

a. Click Start and type cmd in the start search box.
b. right click on cmd , and then click run as administrator.
c. type the following commands in the command prompt and press ENTER after each.

ipconfig/release
ipconfig / renew

If this does not help, use method 2.

Method 2:
Reset TCP/IP and check.
Refer to this article:
How to reset TCP/IP using the NetShell utility
http://Support2.Microsoft.com/kb/299357

I hope this information helps.

Please let us know if you need more help.

Thank you

  • Windows 8 Wifi doesn't have a valid IP configuration

    Background:
I've been a happy user of Windows 7.  I did the upgrade of Windows 8 and internet connection seems to work very well for two days. Then, a few days ago Windows made the usual software updates after I shut down my computer.  The next time that I opened it upwards (yesterday), it wouldn't connect to the internet no matter what.  I'm computer savvy so tried all suspects, but to no avail.   I used the troubleshooting tool that came with "WiFi doesn't have a valid IP configuration."    Please don't tell me to turn on/off the router.  Tried that and it doesn't work.  I also tried the following at the command prompt (run as administrator):

netsh winsock reset catalog (reset winsock entries)

netsh int ip reset reset.log hit (reset TCP/IP stack).

Then rebooted and still no luck.

I am inclined to think that there is a compatibility issue, perhaps pilots.   I have a Toshiba Satellite P750.   The main thing is that my computer is now a useless brick and it's cost me money by not being able to get online (for my work).

Here's my ipconfig/all the information.  I hope that someone can have useful information to resolve this problem once and for all.  My only other option is to go back to Windows 7 (which actually does not work) and avoid Windows 8 until it becomes a relatively bug free and viable operating system. Thanks for your help.

    This he healed for me:

I kept having the same problem connecting to the hotel Wi-Fi. No problem at home.

In Internet explorer, go to tools, Internet options, content, and click Clear SSL State.

    Good luck!

  • "Ethernet" doesn't have a valid IP configuration!

Apparently, a lot of people have had this same problem with the pre-release of windows 8. None of these solutions have worked for me. I use the overview of the developer to win 8 and still getting the same problem.

In fact, the problem is that I can't access the internet via my wired Ethernet interface. I have a Realtek PCIe network card using the version 7.3.522.2009 of the driver in compatibility mode for Windows 8. I tried all the possible drivers available for the card and the problem persists, while the same card works fine with my Windows Vista. I am able to access the internet via my wireless adapter, but not via the Ethernet card. When I troubleshoot the network card it gives me just the error that "Ethernet doesn't have a valid IP configuration".
The thing is that my network card is not able to automatically acquire an IP address, even if the DHCP client is active and running. I tried to use
    • ipconfig / renew
    • netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
and similar things, but none of them worked. I think I tried literally everything possible to operate before posting here. I hope that someone of you can help me. Really looking forward to y. Thank you.

OK guys, I solved the problem! I post here if it helps someone who has a similar problem. I still don't know what was the main problem, but he probably was the pilot.

So here's what I did to get rid of the problem
    1. Disable all IPv6 traffic (my ISP supports IPv6, so no need to turn it on). A very good link I followed to achieve this--> http://www.techunboxed.com/2012/08/how-to-disable-ipv6-in-windows-8.html
    2. Disable Microsoft Kernel Debug network card, which mysteriously appeared in my device manager. link to follow-> http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-networking/what-is-microsoft-kernel-debug-network-adapter/f72b8408-e4f7-4593-9e18-8cbb3e38a5ad
    3. I noticed that despite the fact that there is no physical address assigned to my NIC (probably a driver problem?), so I assigned a random MAC to my Ethernet interface using a mac generator. Link for the tool--> http://download.cnet.com/Technitium-MAC-Address-Changer/3000-2085_4-10554920.html
    4. Connected to the internet via the Ethernet interface!
    It will be useful.
  • WiFi doesn't have a valid IP configuration for windows 8

I bought a computer dell laptop with integrated windows 8 last week.

The wifi worked for a few days and then all of a sudden it stopped. It shows connected wireless but no internet access.
Back to diagnose the problem, message foll...
WiFi doesn't have a valid IP configuration...
Wifi works fine on others - phone, I - pad except this laptop.
Pls adv how can I do to solve this. I talked to the provider, but according to him, this is a problem with the router and not the laptop.
I saw a lot of similar problems on this community as well.

First of all your router off/on power supply and see if that fixes it.

If this is not the case, connect to your router and make sure that DHCP is configured to allow enough IP for all your devices.  I've seen where people had set for a range of 5 devices when they arrived the router, keeping it years later, make it have more devices with smart TV, etc.
  • my wireless network connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration

Hello all I tried all the things after searching the Internet for hours trying to solve this problem.  my computer does not display the available wireless networks.  I tried to renew my IP with ipconfig and it did not work.  I have also reset IP/THC and flush the DNS.  This problem occurred when I tried to change the ip address of my router because it matched my modem so that I could change the security settings.  I was going back to my router ip 192.168.5.1 to correct what I did but I now can not connect to internet at all.  When I go to the command prompt and type ipconfig/all, I get media disconnected with active DHCP and autoconfiguration.  But I also noticed there is no IP listed for IPv4.  If anyone has any ideas on how to solve this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.

Try to connect by Ethernet cable to your router.
If this does not work either I suggest that you set your router to the factory settings and to reconfigure him.   I'm not sure what you did, but suspect he touched the routers DHCP service.  Most routers have a built-in reset that you press with a paper clip or similar button and hold for 10 seconds to reset.

I have recently installed windows 8.1 and I was not able to connect to the internet since then. I tried different remedies, I searched on various forums such as using the command prompt, netsh winsock reset catalog and even tried netsh int ip reset reset.log hit , high ipconfig / renew andipconfig/release . But still nothing. I also tried to delete AVG, but still nothing. I'm sure that its also not a router related issue as all the other computers in my home connect to wifi and on top of that, I tried to connect the laptop to different routers and still nothing.

    Hi Ben Hmida,.

I appreciate the efforts to try to solve the problem. If there is an IP address conflict you might face this problem. You can try to manually assign it the IP address and see if it helps.

    Set the IP address manually.

    1. Right click on the network icon located in the lower right of the screen, and then click Open Network and Sharing Center.
    2. Click change settings card present on the left side of the screen.
    3. In the Properties window for the Ethernet, select Protocol Internet Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) , and then click Properties.
    4. Click the radio button next to use the following IP address.
    5. It will give boxes to enter the IP address, you can type the address, for example, if you have a number of machines begin by setting the IP 192.168.1.100 then go to 192.168.1.101.
    6. The subnet mask has the default value is 255. 255. 255. 0 in most cases.
    7. Copy the default gateway of the network connection details window information.
    8. Copies information from DNS server in the details window - there will probably be two addresses to copy. Refer to the image given below to

    9. close all windows and test your internet connection.

You can also see the steps in the link below.

  • I can't print due to the "wireless network connection" doesn't have a valid IP address.

    Cannot print wireless

I can't print due to the "wireless network connection" doesn't have a valid IP address.  How can I fix this problem myself (an absolute non-techie)?

    Hello

-Did you change your computer, after which the question began?
-Check if you are connected to the network?

The question seems more like a network connection problem. I would like you to do the following.

Method 1: run the Network Troubleshooter utility and see if the problem persists.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-the-network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7

Method 2: release and renew the IP (Internet Protocol) address and see if the problem persists.

has. click Start. Type cmd in the search box and press ENTER.
    b. at the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:
ipconfig/all (there is a space between ipconfig and /)
The command ipconfig/all command displays for all your network adapters, TCP/IP in Windows settings.

If your IP address of your Local network connection is 0.0.0.0 or 169.x.x.x (where x is a number any), then your computer is not getting an IP address from the router.
If this is the case, try this:
    ·        enough ipconfig at the command prompt and press ENTER
    ·        ipconfig / renew in the command prompt and press ENTER

    Method 3:

    Network printer problems

Note: The steps also apply to Windows 7.

  • Satellite L650 - unable to connect to the public network (has no valid IP address)

    Hello

Toshiba satellite L650 laptop computer (with windows 7 64-bit), I bought two days back and I'm unable to connect to the public network. Sometimes, it must be connected to the public network and after a few minutes it disconnects. I get the message "wireless network doesn't have a valid IP configuration him."

I have visited many forums and did everything, but of no use.

    1. people with disabilities the tcp/ip V6 of the registry.
    2. the DHCP is enabled. With the help of the automatic IP (DHCP)
    3. also tried with a static IP configuration.
    4. uninstalled the antivirus provided with laptop computer (Norton).
    5 disabled the windows firewall.
    6. restored to factory settings.

I called Toshiba Tech support as well and they have suggested that it may be a problem of H/W but I don't think that so that it can be hardware problem because sometimes he must be connected to the public network. Now I'm left with no option except return the laptop to Toshiba (I'm less interested in this because I know that sending laptop for replacement will be more frustrating).

Can someone please give some other suggestions for this problem?

    Hey,.

Can you connect to your home WIFI router correctly?

If you have problems with the public network connection, you should ask the owner of these networks. Usually, there is always a contact, you can ask if you have any problems with the connection.

What you can try is updated WLAN driver from Toshiba's official website:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

If it doesn't work, ask the person contact I mentioned.
