  • my wireless network connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration

Hello all I tried all the things after searching the Internet for hours trying to solve this problem.  my computer does not display the available wireless networks.  I tried to renew my IP with ipconfig and it did not work.  I have also reset IP/THC and flush the DNS.  This problem occurred when I tried to change the ip address of my router because it matched my modem so that I could change the security settings.  I was going back to my router ip 192.168.5.1 to correct what I did but I now can not connect to internet at all.  When I go to the command prompt and type ipconfig/all, I get media disconnected with active DHCP and autoconfiguration.  But I also noticed there is no IP listed for IPv4.  If anyone has any ideas on how to solve this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.

Try to connect by Ethernet cable to your router.
If this does not work either I suggest that you set your router to the factory settings and to reconfigure him.   I'm not sure what you did, but suspect he touched the routers DHCP service.  Most routers have a built-in reset that you press with a paper clip or similar button and hold for 10 seconds to reset.

I can't print due to the "wireless network connection" doesn't have a valid IP address.  How can I fix this problem myself (an absolute non-techie)?

    Hello

-Did you change your computer, after which the question began?
-Check if you are connected to the network?

The question seems more like a network connection problem. I would like you to do the following.

Method 1: run the Network Troubleshooter utility and see if the problem persists.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-the-network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7

Method 2: release and renew the IP (Internet Protocol) address and see if the problem persists.

has. click Start. Type cmd in the search box and press ENTER.
    b. at the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:
ipconfig/all (there is a space between ipconfig and /)
The command ipconfig/all command displays for all your network adapters, TCP/IP in Windows settings.

If your IP address of your Local network connection is 0.0.0.0 or 169.x.x.x (where x is a number any), then your computer is not getting an IP address from the router.
If this is the case, try this:
    ·        enough ipconfig at the command prompt and press ENTER
    ·        ipconfig / renew in the command prompt and press ENTER

    Method 3:

    Network printer problems

Note: The steps also apply to Windows 7.

  • Local network connection does not...

Hi, I have a problem with my internet connectibility. I have an Acer Aspire 5560 g-7809 and I recently bought the laptop used. It has been reformatted and installed with all windows updates before being delivered to me. Now that I have, however, I can't seem to get an internet connection via the Ethernet connection... but the wireless connection works FINE. I tried a lot of things. When I run diagnose it indicates that the computer cannot communicate with the dns server or device. And in the connection manager it shows that the computer is connected to the modem but the modem is not connected to internet... which is false, because the modem works fine with another computer. What happens here? !

Too bad! I solved this myself as it ended up being my modem, it is a cable modem and it was to be delicate with only willing to work to the last computer that I am connected. UGH!

  • Local network connection appears not to, I'm missing a Driver?

    Hello

Today, I wanted to test Ethernet/LAN on my desk that I just got the possibility of. But when I tried to plug in the Ethernet cable to the wall I have not all connections about LAN. I also checked my adapters to see if it has been disabled, but there is no choice for LAN it is.

So I decided to test it on a laptop to check if it was my computer or if there was something wrong with the cable. It turns out that it was my computer, like LAN worked perfectly on the laptop.

I then decided to check my drivers and it said I didn't have a driver of Ethernet controller. So I went around the internet to find something he did, but it seems that I can't get a driver for it, and I wonder if maybe that's the problem.

The current mother Board that I use is an Asus ROG Maximus VI Gene, and for the wireless controller, it is an Asus PCE - N10 11n Wireless LAN PCI - E Card.

I've not seen anyone else with the same problem I have, not only on the 'forums' or the support of Microsoft, but also on other forums.

I would get this as soon as POSSIBLE and I hope someone is willing to help and can help.

    Best regards

    THE SOLUTION:

Thank you very much for your help! But I have not found the answer here... A little.

What I've done, is to let the auto update/device manager when you try to install a new update for the network driver search my entire drive.

But earlier, I downloaded a driver from Intel for connections Ethernet Intel(r) (I217-V). And I guess that's the one I downloaded to adapt to what said properties.

But when trying to install Windows would not accept. so I came here for more help.

For some reason but now he accepted it. Could have been that I was stupid with install, but it has finally worked :).

What I've done, it is I went to the Device Manager (control/material Panel) and Device Manager/Sound found my Ethernet controller/adapter click right on it and chose properties, here on I chose the details and on the menu drop-down I chose the hardware ID, then copy & paste the second line of text and he looked up on google and found something on Intel sites that match my line of text.

Thank you for the help guys or girls!

    Best regards

  • NB200 - network connection does not work

    Hello

We have 40 nb200 under xp pro connected to our domain. Network connections do not seem to be running. The wireless card is an Atheros AR9285 and Realteak PCIe FE Family controller. In device manager ther is also a Realteak PCIe FE Family controller - wireless intermediate driver that has a yellow! more than. I can't deleted it.
I did a system restore that allows connections to work for less than a week and we have the same problem again. We also disable the automatic updates.

Does anyone else have this problem? Anyone who has a solution?

    Thank you very much, Tom

    Ho tomc85,.

Well, that s really strange, but in my opinion, it happens after a few days, a program or updates are blocking the connection to the local network.

I put t know what programs you have installed, but the fact is that if after the installation of recovery work, it s not a Toshiba related issue.
In order to check your updates Windows, AntiVirus, firewall, etc. for the problems. Maybe you can find something.

What else shows in network connections (start > run > ncpa.cpl > OK)?  Please list all icons.

On the Local network connection, right click and select Properties.  Which shows in the 'Général' tab in the box under "connect using"?

On Local Area Connection 3, right-click and select Properties.  Which shows in the 'Général' tab in the box under "connect using"?

    • With both items enabled, open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK).
    • Type the following command in the black command prompt window and press ENTER after each line

    ipconfig/all > "% userprofile%\Desktop\ipinfo.txt".
    Notepad '% userprofile%\Desktop\ipinfo.txt '.

    • Copy the contents of the Notepad window and paste it into your reply here
    • Close Notepad and windows command prompt and remove the file ipinfo.txt to your desktop

Close all the windows that you have open. Restart the computer.
    Please use the following tutorial:
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/106787-notification-area-system-icons.html

    The tutorial has 4 methods.

Method is a general method which, unfortunately, rarely works because the box, you need to check is usually grayed out (unclickable).

Two method is only for Vista Ultimate and Enterprise.

Three method applies to all versions of Vista.

Use the Reg file download. It is simple and easy.

    * Do
sure that you restart the computer to complete the
    procedures.

Four method deals with editing the registry. If you are not comfortable doing this. Please do not. Three method is the best way to go.

    ·         Are you referring to the icon in the system tray in the task bar?

  • Receive the message error "wireless network connection is not a valid ip configuration.

Original title: unable to connect to wifi on windows 7 on Dell laptop

Help!  I went on vacation and used my laptop to DVD play only.  I am now back home and cannot connect to the Internet.  I tried all sorts of resolutions without result.  When I use the Troubleshoot utility, it tells me to stop my router and turn it back on.  I've done this multilpe times at this point.  Once I keep in the resolution of the problems, I get the same message again and again: "wireless network connection is not a valid ip configuration.  I disabled McAfee and morning services.  I used the command prompt to reset WINSOCK, IPv4 and 6.  I turned power on and off wireless by using the key on the keyboard.  I disabled and enabled the network connection.  I have the driver-upated.  I know the router works properly from my iphone and iPad is all connected without problem.  I removed and added to the wireless network.  In the network and sharing Center (I would copy and paste the view up here, if I could, but since I can't get online...), it is said "unidentified network, no internet access" on the right side, and he also says that I'm connected to a public network.  There is no link to click for the public network and I can't seem to find a way to change it to the House (there are no options, no links).  I tried to solve this problem, after I get home from work every night and I'm so frustrated that nothing works.  Please, please help!
