Connecting to Linux Desktop

Hello

I just got manual office pool of Linux upward and running based on the documentation provided and the youtube video that was posted a few weeks back. I'm under RHEL 6.6 with the last installed display software.

Initially, I connected via a browser web to the Linux desktop pool and able to connect without any problems.  My only complaint is that the office is not resized to the current size of the browser.  The current maximum resolution is 1280 x 768.

I also tried to connect from a Client display Windows and zero Tera2 customer but without success.  The error message I get is "this office does not support the requested protocol display.

Any help is very appreciated.

Found the problem.  My http load balancer has been playing with the traffic between the client and the Linux host.  With the removed load balancing, I am able to connect to desktop Linux.

The new Linux VDI Protocol is therefore essentially VNC through websockets?  As this would explain why the load balancer is of no relevance since I set it up for websockets proxy traffic.

With the connection problem now "solved" (I wish I had the web load balancing and proxy in place), I now see a Linux desktop, but it has a maximum resolution of 1280 x 768.  Is there an option where I can get a higher resolution fullscreen?  If I run a VNC server session I can adjust the resolution to something that is greater than what is available in my Office VDI session.

    Hello Stephen,

You did mention the operating system installed in the laptop. Provide that information will help you provide better assistance.

Basically, if your laptop and the printer are connected to the same network (or even router), you can configure and connect to this printer as a network printer in the laptop. The article I'm referring below has a tutorial on how to connect printers (Local and network), please go through the information in there and see if it helps you as well.

    Install a printer

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/install-printer#install-printer=Windows-7

If you need assistance, just reply to the version of the operating system running on the laptop, and we'll be happy to help you.

Thank you and have a nice day ahead!

    Hello

Your question is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for networking on TechNet. Please post your question in the TechNet Windows Forums.

  • Settings need to connect a second desktop computer using a NetGear wireless adapter.

    Original title: wireless settings

I need the settings to connect a second desktop computer using a NetGear wireless adapter.

The Belkin router work a lot using my Tablet and streaming movies but I can't understand

the settings on the second PC.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you.

"Settings", you need are the SSID (network name) and the encryption key (password).

Unless you have configured the router to 'hide' the SSID (generally a bad idea), you will see in the list of available wireless networks.  Then, the only thing you need is the encryption key.

If you do not write your encryption key, you can find it by logging into your router configuration utility.

If you have a computer running Windows can now connect to the router, open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK) and type "ipconfig" (without the quotes) and press ENTER.  Take note of the 'Default gateway' address.  It is the IP address of the router.

The default IP for Belkin routers is 192.168.2.1.

On a computer that is already connected to the router, open a browser (Internet Explorer or Firefox) and enter the IP address of the router (the gateway by default, you noted above or 192.168.2.1).  If you do not have a computer that is connected to the wireless router, you will need to temporarily connect a computer to the router by an Ethernet cable.

Connect to the router configuration utility.  If prompted for a password and you don't remember, you need to reset the router to its factory default.  Return ticket for additional instructions.

Once logged in, click on "Security" under "wireless" in the menu.  At this point, you should see a page that shows your password.  Write it down and exit the router configuration utility without making any changes.

For more help, post back with the model of your Belkin router and also mention if you have any Windows computer that can connect to the router (and if yes, what version of Windows they use).

  • How to share files and printers between windows xp desktop that is connected to a wireless router with a laptop running windows 7. printer is connected to the desktop computer

Hi all.  I normally wouldn't have a problem with that, but I must be missing something.  I want to create a home network or small business between my desktop running windows xp pro sp3 and my laptop running windows 7 Home premium.  I want to share files and printers.  My desktop with windows xp computer is connected to a wireless router.  The printer is connected to my desktop as well.  My laptop is wireless with the wireless router.  I tried everything I can think of to get these two devices to the network.  If anyone can help.  Don't forget, my printer is connected to my desktop with windows xp and is connected to my wireless router which is connected to my cable modem.  Internet works fine.  the laptop with windows 7's wireless and internet works fine.  just impossible to get the two see each other or share what anyone.  Thank you.

With respect to the sharing of printer (s), microsoft has a utility called 'Print Migrator'

Download & install, create copy, send a copy to the other pc to share its use.

  • As this computer remote desktop connection cannot connect to the desktop remotely

Sometimes, I try to connect to my desktop and I get an error and sometimes it works and sometimes does not.

    Why is this?

This could happen if you use a Wi - Fi connection with network problems, if some of the data is lost in transit.
You can run this command to see if there is packet loss:
    ping-l 512 f - n 100

It will send 100 queries and should receive 100 responses from the remote computer.
If get you all "Request timed out" messages, then this might be a firewall is not blocking the pings on the remote computer.
If get you one or more "Request timed out" messages, then this might be a network problem.

-entering the IP then username and password
    Failed connection *.

    Little Question, too:
-I run behind a router with 3 machines connected to the router, it would change my location from IP address? I think that's where I'm stuck at.

I have the same problem. I opened a folder with support and they are studying.

Meanwhile, I have found a workaround. It seems that the problem is related to pnmicsrv.dll for vworkspace versions superior to 7,6 GA at least the question seemed to us after application of a patch for this version and it reappeared after upgrade to v8. In both cases I solved it replaces the pnmicsrv.dll file in our model with the dll version 7.6 of GA

  • USB connection to the desktop

    Hello world

I tried to get a similar but empty post came.  Here's the scenario.  There is an application on the device and an application on the desktop.  They communicate via USB which works very well for most.  I use:

    (StreamConnection) Connector.Open ("comm:USB; channel = "+ name);

to save the channel of the device to connect to the desktop computer.  Once the two are connected, I can read and write to streams.  The problem is in the time between the opening of the connection and the connection actually put in place.  The application of device cannot be upward to be listening to connections so it could be some time before the connection is established.  I can't be able to be informed of the connection be established.

Is there a listener that I can use or call Connector.open in a way that would inform the code that the connection has been established?

    Thank you in advance,

    Jakub

I'm not sure what you're asking here... but have you looked at the interface of USBPortListener?  It may provide what you are looking for.

  • BB10 alpha device connected to Linux but poster in IDE "not connected"

    Hello

I use Ubuntu 12.04 and bbnk 10.0.6 for development. My alpha camera can connect to Linux and I can download the configuration previously debugging token created on another Windows XP PC to the device. I also import my key sign created previously on Windows to the current Linux environment. But now the 'not connected' USB to IDE BB10 poster display and cannot deploy any application on the device. What is the reason? He cannot mix the sign key and debug token created on a different platform like Linux vs Windows? Help, please. Thank you.

    Kind regards

    Pigling

It works very well.  A few tips to remember:

-Set :-> Parameters of storage and access-> USB connections (connect to Windows)

(Automatic detection does not work with Linux)

-Make sure development Mode is set to 'works '.

    S ' sure "ifconfig usb0" returns something, preferably 169.254.0.2

S ' ensure that you can test the DA dev mode IP: 169.254.0.1 (this is the default)

If all the above works, then you should be able to use it with the IDE.  If the IDE thinks that it is not connected, ignore the error and try anyway.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones trying to connect with the desktop software for my blackberry

Hey, M trying to connect with the desktop software for my blackberry torch 9800 and it asks password for the connection. I am using same unlock password I use for my bb but for desktop sofware it shows incorrect... pls help!

Make sure that you type on your BB, it's what you type in DM. don't forget that the keyboard on your BB is different from the keyboard on your PC. Some people think they are type numbers on their BlackBerry when they are really typing the letters. For example, to use numbers on a BB you must hold the ALT for each button, you push so you have to hold the alt key while typing 1 2 3 4. If you hold down the ALT key on the BB you would really be typed all W E R S. sometimes, people will hit the ALT key once (and not hold the button) before they enter the password and then you get 1 E R S.

Who is? Make sure that you do not mix numbers and letters.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not connect 8230 to Desktop Manager

Last week I can't get my 8230 curve to connect with my Desktop Manager on my XP or Vista machine.

It was working fine all this while but it suddenly did not connect this last week. Would it be a software update or something from Microsoft? I use v4.2.2.14 on the xp and the v3.5 on vista. It can connect to the PC and I can browse my press card, etc. It will not work with the Desktop Manager only.

And my curve continues to Flash 'connection to the office.

If anyone can help me, I'll be very grateful.

    Thank you.

Your memory is low and may cause disconnection.

Cold boot your PC and launch the dm,

at the same time, pull the battery with the unit

Leave it for a minute, then replace, give him 5 minutes to restart.

The numbers to the right and try to connect.

    Thank you

  • BlackBerry smartphones to connect to the desktop computer...

I used 4.7 OK and it was replicating my contacts and tasks to Outlook 2003.  All of a sudden, it stopped working and just says: connection to the desktop... I tried all cables usual USB re - install software change, different USB ports and scanned the forum.  Pine OK connect options watch my blackberry USB code options.  Bluetooth option is ghost, but I do not use this option... do not know if there is a link.  I have a Toshiba A300 with Bluetooth.  This worked OK until last Friday and I spent most of the weekend trying all the tips Forum.  I run Windows XP if that helps... You can just enter any number. I have AT & T and seized my number and it took. If this is not the case, there is a link on the site of berryreview to download.

  • Problems of peripheral connection to the Desktop Manager and Apploader.exe blackBerry Smartphones

Just got a new BB8900 last Friday. On Monday, I met a Reload software: 552 error code and after checking online forums for options on how to fix I finally had to reinstall the operating system and reinstall the new applications, which are not checked by the resettlement process. Because I was afraid to become again this error when I rebooted the machine, I immediately made backups every hour I was reconfigure the device and adding my apps.

Today I was going to do another backup for good measure, and once I have connected my Blackberry to the computer with Desktop Manager running, Desktop Manager crashed and gave me the following error message:

    Signature of the problem:
    Problem event name: APPCRASH

I then tried the APPLOADER. EXE program location in program files/common files/research in motion/apploader. I had used this program yesterday to try to remove applications 1 by 1 with the hope that a single request was causing the error 552. Now for some reason any program as a problem to note the following in the error log file:

Read 1010fffc location caused an access violation.

I've looked through several forums and have not found a solution. What I can tell you is the following:

    (1) the phone works well, but I'm afraid by restarting the phone and another 552 error (there were two deleted apps that will be entirely deleted on reboot). Hope everything is fine but I got two of these 552 errors within 24 and the second came without any warning. If I get this error there is no way to make my backup since I can't connect to DM without it crashing.

    (2) it doesn't seem to be a timing issue, but I deleted the Intellisync folder anyway and it does not solve the problem.

    (3) have rebooted my machine without change to the problem.

    (4) have reinstalled DM Version 5 (this time without Roxio Media software) without change to the problem.

    (5) because now I get an error when connecting to DM and trying to run apploader.exe, there seems to be a setting on my phone which may cause problems (I don't know what it can be, but the APPLOADER program finds a violation of place then maybe the Blackberry software is confused about where to find my Apps?)

    (6) the BlackBerry Device Manager works fine and takes note of my device and the serial number it is necessary.

After my last backup yesterday I probably only installed 3-4 other apps that I had lost and organized/moved files on the phone. So get this problem if shortly after that everything worked fine is staggering.

Another update: it seemed to me I found the problem.  While RIM support recommended I do a reset, I pushed the rest of the phone feature seems to work very well.  I opted to start removing the one phone applications and then try to connect to the Desktop Manager.

Once I removed the ZDNet Tech News For the IT professional and rebooted the phone, I was able to connect and make a backup. I'm sure this app works very well for almost everyone, but for some reason (maybe it is in conflict with another application on my phone), Desktop Manager does not do that and close. Initially, I reinstalled again and was able to make a new backup but an hour later Desktop Manager stops again (perhaps by doing an update on the news it creates a conflict with the Desktop Manager).

Indeed summary of learning since my problem seems to be quite uniqueCurve 8900)

    (1) if the Director of bureau stops and you have tried other solutions on the forums such as deleting the folder Intellisync and reinstalling Desktop Manager, try to remove applications 1 by 1 and restart the phone before trying to connect again to Desktop Manager.

    (2) If you have had this problem, frequently make backups and keep track of what you add to your phone in case there is a problem you know the latest apps to remove (in my case, I couldn't go to my last backup since DM would be closed with the conflict of the app).

    (3) only consider a wipe of the device if you have exhausted your apps withdrawal tests.  Apps that came on your phone which notes the seller in the section about the application that RIM should be good.  Also while on AppWorld apps are offered by BlackBerry, there is no certainty that they will work on your phone.
