Connection HTTP in J2ME (Blackberry)

Hello

A program on the J2ME Netbeans 6.8.

now my program had to be connected to the internet and retrieve a file from the server

and write in the memory of the emulator

In the scenario above a while running the program when it is connected to an internet line is

run the hang of the program. I don't know why?

Please help me.

Hello

Thanks for the reply.

Coding

try {}
String url = "http://www...";
http = (HttpConnection), Connector.open (url);
http.setRequestMethod (HttpConnection.GET);

http.setRequestProperty ("User-Agent", "' Profile / MIDP - 1.0 Configuration/CLDC - 1.0" ");
}
catch (System.Exception e)
{
e.printStackTrace ();
System.out.println ("inside the file create and capture of writing");
} Finally
{
try {}
http. Close();
} catch (IOException ex) {}
ex.printStackTrace ();
}
}

http.setRequestMethod (HttpConnection.GET);

up to front line coding is performed.

If the program achieved the following line above the stop of the emulator there.

Y at - there no specific coding for connection of the emulator of the Blackberry?

Please give the link or guide me.

  • Error of connectivity HTTP using JDE 5.0.0 and Blackberry MDS

    Hello

    I use BB MDS Simulator 4.1.2 and BB JDE 5.0.0 for test sample Oracle ADF Mobile client apps that I have developed.
    My application tries to access Web services using HTTP.

    Here's where I meet a HTTP connectivity problem.

    1 see, for example, while trying to test HTTP using the Blackberry browser, I got the error: "host unknown mobile.blackberry.com:80.

    2. the sample I tried to run to test Web Services - accepts a user password and gets its translation in a desired language, using a service offered on the internet Web.
    Here, I tried to translate the word "Madame" in English to the French.
    I met a HTTP/1.0 400 Bad Request.

    Please take a look at the Trace of SDM as below (the entries for the "BOLD") and indicate if I'm missing something from the perspective of the configuration.

    PS: I tried different options on the blackberry forums, but they were not very useful.

    Hello:

    A couple of things to try and check:

    -What is your network connection through the proxy server? If you are behind a proxy server, then you would need to set up proxy server in MDS by opening the file /config/rimpublic.property, go to the [HTTP handler] section and add the following line:

    application.handler.http.proxyEnabled = true
    application.handler.http.proxyHost =
    application.handler.http.proxyPort =

    -Try of BlackBerry MDS Simulator that came with JDE 5.0. SDM 4.1.2 should continue to work with 5.0 simulators of the device, but it's worth a

    Can you reach the web service in the browser in your Blackberry Simulator? Feel free to contact me directly at [email protected] - if needed, we can also draw resources to help diagnose this RIM/BlackBerry.

  • How to receive the http on the BlackBerry itself as a server request

    Hi all

    I make a request which I must do a http called through SOAP web services and wish to receive this request http to my Blackberry itself (suppose that, by default, port). that is, I use the BlackBerry device as a client and the server.

    Please suggest me if RIM provides APIs of java application server server or someone has an idea about this.

    I use devic BB: BB 8900 OS v5.0

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello ashutoshg,

    Unfortunately the best I can give is that localhost and 127.0.0.1 simply don't are not supported with regard to a BlackBerry network connection.

    The following forum thread discusses two methods of obtaining the IP address of your device when it is connected via WiFi and I saw the success of these approaches in the past:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/Java-development/WiFi-IP-address/TD-p/374272

    The only thing to note is that this kind of HTTP communication will travel through the WiFi network and back to the equipment; rather than work around the network via the loopback address infrastructure.

  • Z10 blackBerry cannot connect with another ID Blackberry on this device

    Hello

    Got a Z10 with my blackberry ID on it for a long time without any problem.

    My wife bought a Blackberry Bold 9900 and instead create a new Blackberry ID, I put mine. She wanted only Facebook on this subject so I didn't create a new ID just for this application.

    Now on my Z10, whenever I try to download a BB world app, get a pop-up with "check your Blackberry ID. I try to enter my password, it says:

    "You can't sign with a different ID of Blackberry on this unit. Connect with the original Blackberry used on this device ID ". But it is certainly the original code.

    I also tried to reset the password, but the problem persists.

    Thanks for any help you can provide,

    Martin

    Well, this isn't quite true.  You can have multiple devices with a BBID.  I have a Z10, Q10 and Playbook.  I added a different Playbook earlier but only Playbook can be connected as the main material for BBWorld.  Other that it worked very well.

    Looks like you are trying to connect to the device even with a different BBID.  If you have already connected to a device with a BBID, you do a security wipe before you can connect with other BBID.

  • Connection UDP, AFN and Blackberry signature setting.

    Hello world

    I'm having a problem to launch a connection udp on a blackberry 9000.

    I works well on a device, if I put the APN in the device settings (I am on telstra, the AFN is telstra.internet or telstra.wap)

    If the device does not have the correct apn defined, the udp connection throws an IOException; tunnel failed.

    When I try to put the AFN during the opening of the udp connection, I still get the same IOException.

    I open the connection as follows...

    UDP://serverAddress:ServerPort; localPort/Telstra.Internet

    I was wondering if someone sees something wrong with this, or if the application must be properly signed Blackberry. I could find no information saying that it is one of the RIM not limited of the api, given also that it works very well if the device is configured which leads me to believe that a signature will not fix this problem.

    Thanks for any comments.

    OK I found the problem,

    The url was somehow in the wrong format,

    J2ME, you can open a Udp connection in Server mode by not specifying any addresses, it does not work on blackberry.

  • Creating a connection HTTP using BIS

    Hello

    I need to retrieve data from my web service using KSoap and BIS as a means of connection. From what I've heard, create HTTP through BIS connections is available for third party applications if the developer is a member of the Alliance of BlackBerry program (which I am currently not a part of). But I also heard that there is a backdoor method of doing that is by registering to the BlackBerry PUSH services.

    I was wondering if someone could explain to me how I could use this secret method to create a connection HTTP using BIS.

    Thanks in advance.

    you add to a bes connection "; deviceside = false', for example.
    a BIS connection uses an appendage of connection string similar, is it the seekrit.
    You can 'discover' this string seekrit by downloading the sample to bis push (not the simplified I wrote), you can do it without registering.

    You can probably find it on google as well, but the forums have a word filter to apply the policy of it being forbidden to know

  • No secure connection https

    Hello

    Since this morning, when clicking on a link of wire, I get a message from the browser (IE 8) on a non secure connection https (which can compromise the security of the page...). I am asked if I want to go or not. Rather boring.
    However, change anything on my side. Any thoughts?

    Nicolas.

    You must import the certificate on IE. Our SSL is hosted on akamai and signed by a third party. FF/chrome/safari understands this, but is too stubborn IE. Once you import the cert, that error should not come again

    IE 8/9

    (1) when you get the error, click on continue, next to the address bar, it will show "certificate error".
    2) click on the error, click View certificates and click Install certificate.

    For IE 7

    (1) click on no when you are prompted to view the non-secure content
    2) click on the lock icon in the bar of addresses, and click View Certificate
    (3) install the certificate

    You may also need to change your security settings to allow mixed content.

    The Guide of EI

    In order to allow mixed content

    In Internet Explorer, click Tools and then click Internet Options.
    Click the Security tab and then click on the custom level button.
    In the security settings dialog box, highlight the display mixed content in the section setting various, and then click Activate.
    Click OK in the security settings dialog box, and then click OK to exit Internet Options.
    Note

    After allowing mixed content, you will see webpages with both HTTPS content and not HTTPS, but Internet Explorer will not display the lock icon

  • SyncCondvarWait_r() problem when you try to connect HTTP tutorial

    Hello

    Currently, I'm learning how to handle the HTTP on BB10 connection. After Beta2 I find tutorial heredeveloper.blackberry.com HTTP connection.

    Generated the project successfully, but when I debug him on Simulator (10.0.0.6 version, oh I use Mac OS X Lion if that's important), I get the error message until the application ran: no source available for 'SyncCondvarWait_r() to 0xb0bf9c76. After that the application does not start.

    Someone knows what is the problem and how can I solve the problem?

    Thanks for your help

  • Z10 blackBerry I can not connect my Z10 for BlackBerry link more.

    I have not had a problem until the other day, but now my Z10 is not recognized by BlackBerry link. I've deleted and reinstalled link 3 times, including the new 1.2 update. I have also reset my phone twice and tried two for BlackBerry USB cables and tried all three USB ports on my computer. On my phone when I plug it into my computer a pop up box appears on my phone and says it is connected to the computer, but the computer still does not recognize him. It can be synchronized via wifi, but that's all. Now a box pop up appears on my computer and said 'missing hardware ID - Windows cannot identify the device plugged into the USB composite device. For assistance, contact the hardware manufacturer.

    I hope that you tried to reboot your device. In addition, try to change the connection parameters in the 'storage and access' to connect to Windows and check if it solves your problem

    Try to connect the Z10 on another computer. If this is the case, you will need to remove the blackberry on your computer drivers and reinstall them.
    Try deleting blackberry drivers and resettlement.
    1. uninstall the link BB and BB Desktop Manager if you have one.
    2. check if all the drivers are deleted as a result of this http://www.ehow.com/how_8287066_remove-blackberry-drivers-windows-7.html
    3. restart the computer and reinstall the BB link. Restart the computer again.
    4 restart your device so that there is no problem on your device. Reconnect the device to the computer.

    If the device is not able to connect to another computer, it is likely a bad USB port.
