Connection of the media to 24D3433DB

Hi people

First of all, anyone know of Toshiba support email?

I have the above TV which has WiFi and USB connectivity.

If I plug in a HARD drive in the USB port, I would be able to pick up all the media on this drive?

Thanks in advance

Bob

If I am not wrong it must be formatted in fat32 so that it works

I had several chat sessions with Norton, but they now point me to Microsoft saying that it is a Windows program that is related to Norton.

    Hi ColinAW,

Your computer is connected to a domain?

The question could be linked to the program Norton himself. I suggest you try the following steps:

Step 1: Disable Norton Security software; Follow the steps mentioned in the link below

If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.

  • Xbox 360 will not connect to the Media Center after that PC has been asleep

My Xbox 360 connects to my Media Center as an Extender initially. When it works, it works very well. However, after my PC has spent time in a suspended state, it is at 75% chance that my Xbox won't be able to connect to the Media Center. Sometimes it will work, but more often it won't.

Restart my PC will allow the Xbox to connect immediately, but this isn't an ideal solution. I wish I could have my PC of a suspended state wake and correctly connected to the Xbox media extender.

    Hello

    (1) did you make any changes before the show?

    (2) is the specific question when the computer wakes from sleep?

This problem may occur when the power is suspended in the media extender. I would have you go through the articles that might be useful.

  • Digital Cable Set Top Box connected to the Media Center computer, forced to keep MC on the use of channels 3-cant TV Guide in Media Center to record

I have to keep the center of the media on channel 3, and the decoder controls the channel I want to watch or record.  For example if I want to record channel 631 21:00 to 23:00 I would say the MC to record channel 3 for as many programs they broadcast between 9 and 23:00.  This process does not allow registration of the MC - guide as it was planned. I have to use the channels on the cable box only and always have the Media Center on channel 3. Is it possible to come back with the MC TV Guide and record by this guide as it was designed to do, while still using the cable set top box or some other Descrambler for replacement by the cable operator?  Basically, the decoder is a decoder which makes us put all our TV on channel 3.  But the cable ready TV I hear do not need the box, they can use another device.  The computer can do the same?  Nobody seems to have no answer to this problem.  Help!?

I read your question. I asked you what happened when running
TV Setup and specifically want to know if the TV Setup detected your set top
Box/decoder and it happened. If Media Center does not automatically detect your decoder,
have you tried the manual method to learn codes? I'm trying to help you

  • Xbox 360 Media Center Extender loses the connection to the media center to Windows 7 after change of router

I have a Windows 7 Media Center box, and an Xbox 360 that I use as an Extender.  The two connections to the same wired router.  Everything worked fine until I went on my old router (failed) and put in a WNDR4300.   After the new router has been installed, I didn't have the Extender work then, deleted from the media Center and re - he added.  It worked but after I shut off/started the xbox, no link.  It is repetitive: I can make a new connection, but then it didn't reconnect after reboot of the xbox.

    Check/change:

-J' changed to a static IP xbox

-There is no part 3 a / v or a firewall on the support center

-L' on the media center network adapter is 'home '.

-The network card on the media center * fact * show the xbox 360

-The event log after the xbox is restarted shows:

event ID 538: installation of media center extender does not like the Extender has been detected on the network, but for the Extender upnp search failed (timed out after 20000ms)

-How long before it, I have found that the service IS running upnp device host (and set to auto)

-J' checked 4300 router wndr and UPnP is enabled (advertising set to 30 minutes)

  • Windows XP Media Center 2005 cannot connect to the Internet

    Dear all,

I'm having a problem with Windows XP Media Center 2005. The problem is that when I connect the cable from the modem to the laptop, I only send packets without receiving. The IP address I get is also 169.254.207.207, which is not a valid IP address to connect to the internet, and so I guess that something is blocking the laptop to get the IP address. Another thing I noticed is that when I turned off the modem and restart it, I have connectivity maybe 5 seconds and then return to no connectivity.

You guys can tell me what is the problem, and if I have to download something but in addition to the internet so that I can get my laptop to work. That said, I can connect to wireless with no problems.

Thanks for your help and your time

    Martyna

    Hello

Sorry for the question but what modem did you mean?
A simple analog modem or DSL (broadband) modem that supports support a LAN connection.
If you mean the second then I would check the TCP/IP settings in the properties of LAN card. The settings should be set to automatic

You should also check that you firewall settings.

  • Mac mini as a media server connected to the hi-fi amplifier

    Hello

I am considering a Mac Mini to replace my old Lacie Cinema player as my media center. It will be connected to television and, ideally, analog hi-fi amplifier for sound.

Here are my questions and special needs:

-want to browse my music library and control the Mac through my iPad or iPhone. Don't want to use the keyboard or the physical remote. Do something like plex installed on ipad control files that reside on the Mac mini (or external hard drive connected to the Mac Mini)?

-as my amp is analog (with RCA plugs) I guess I have to convert the RCA plugs to the digital amplifier. A Mini Mac USB RCA DAC exist?

I think that's it! Thanks for any help.

The Mac Mini are very small computers.

(for me, it almost seems like a waste to use as only a media center. I use my media center and an office at the same time)

Not sure about this one. I am a user of office and control my media from there.

Everything you need for an analog RCA connection is a stereo 3.5 mm to RCA cable.

  • I have a problem connecting to the internet. When I click on the internet it goes straight to windows media player

Hi I have a problem connecting to the internet. When I click on the internet it goes straight to windows media player.

    HI Maria,

If you are using Vista, go to http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/06/22/reset-and-fix-broken-windows-vista-file-ext-and-type-associations-include-exe-com-sys-zip-lnk-folder-drive/ and scroll down to EXE and click or double-click it to run the program to restore EXE file associations.  Once done, do the same for LNK entry.  This should restore your programs and get the Internet icon to go to the internet rather than WMP.  If you use Windows 7, go to http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/19449-default-file-type-associations-restore.html. If you are using XP, go to http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm.

If this does not work and it started recently, try a system restore to a restore point BEFORE the problem started.  If you use Windows 7, see:http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.html. If you are using Vista, see:http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/. If you are using XP, see:http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial56.html.  If the first attempt fails, try an earlier point or two because the problem may have started before you noticed.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

Tried media player - tools - options-network. Cannot configure the Protocol / the proxy settings. Streaming proxy settings area is empty.

    Hello Adelek,

Thank you for posting.  It seems that you may have a firewall problem.  I that you would suggest to check your firewall settings to see if it's to allow access of media player.  I've also included some basic information about this error.

Please let me know if this helps you.

You got the C00D1198 error message when you use Windows Media Player. The following information can help you resolve the problem.

Unable to connect to the server

Windows Media Player cannot connect to the server that hosts the content you want to listen to. You may encounter this error message for the following reasons:
