Connection to printer VISTA continues to lose

OK, simple problem: I have a week old Dell PC with VISTA Business. It is connected to a printer on the Office Server, but every day it loses the connection, and THE only way to reconnect is to remove the printer and re-install. We now have 2 Dell PCs with VISTA that I have this problem. All other PCs are XP and there is no problem with these. This HAS to be a common problem - I'm the thqat one person think Windows updates should take care of this? Is not the kind of requirement very basic that Windows updates is designed for?

Hey viacom,.

It sounds like this is a problem quite complicate you have on your hand.  Normally, we do not support server network here, but you will need to go to Technet.  In your case, I suggest to look for local professional help or call Support technique Microsoft for the distance to take a look.  Problem is too big to fix in a forum.

Hope this helps, Kevin

  • Vista continues to lose a network printer

I have a computer with Vista home premium (32 bit) networked through a router to a printer (Epson DX4400) on a second computer running Windows 7 Professional (64 bit).

The network seems to work fine, I can see and access shared folders on the other machine), but whenever the vista computer is restarted the printer must be reinstalled on the subject from scratch. The computer can still not see the printer through the Add Printer Wizard and I have to use the "printer not listed option" in the wizard.

    Someone at - it ideas?

    Thank you.

    Hey MarkMc

    Step 1

I first suggest you to uninstall the drivers and connect the printer locally on the Windows Vista-based computer. Then install the drivers and check if it works fine after restarting the computer. If the connection is intact and if the printer is visible after restarting the computer, you can connect to Windows 7 computer and reinstall network site Web Epson printer drivers.

    Step 2

Access the link below and download the latest drivers for your printer and install and check if it helps.

    http://eSupport.Epson-Europe.com/ProductHome.aspx?LNG=en-GB&data=lkuCfcvA9czYMwB+2i0olQuJG2hW2FWdwbHRlVgU002Fu18U003D&TC=6

    Step 3

You can remove or remove all the other printer installed on your Windows Vista computer and reinstall the drivers for your Epson DX 4400 and check if it helps.

    Step 4

Check if you have any firewall is enabled on your router and try to temporarily disable the firewall of the router and check if that helps you solve the problem. If it works fine after you turn off the firewall, you can contact the router manufacturer to check if you need to change the settings of the router. Later, re-enable the firewall after verification.

I hope this helps. Let us know the results.

I have a suspicion that this is due to a freezing of the computer gets sometimes, which is very noticeable while watching a movie or listening to music. It freezes for about 1 second and then continues on his business after that.

  • connect a printer on the XP PC laptop Vista wireless

I have a laptop (compaq) running vista, wireless to a PC running XP with a connected printer. It's weird but I see the network, I see the pc and search for posting a link to a printer shows all available printers on the laptop (that I want to) when I try to link to it on the laptop message appears saying 'Windows denied access. " What I can do. I can access all files and folders on the pc and vice versa, but not the printer. Help!

Looks like that you share the printer in the XP box. Did you also install printer Vista drivers for this printer on Vista computer? If this isn't the case, you need to do.

  • I try to connect my Acer Vista laptop for HP Officejet 7310 printer using a wireless connection.

I try to connect my Acer Vista laptop for HP Officejet 7310 printer using a wireless connection.  The printer is connected to a Dell XPS running Windows 7.  Is there a way to do this?

    Hello

Printers use a built-in wireless card and plug it into a power source, not your network or computer. After turning on the printer, you must refer to the documentation that came with the printer to set up a wireless connection for each computer.

I suggest you to download and install drivers from the link below

I'm often abroad and so my printer is turned off for extended periods. Anyone know if it is possible to disable this feature? I have looked at various preferences in my account but cannot find a way to do it - emails are very irritating!

    Hi @Adrian774,

  • Results of Toshiba Connectivity Doctor or Vista network & sharing Center

I bought a 802.11n router to allow additional coverage of my Toshiba with a 802.11n Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN give me and I never seemed to get the extra than I expected! I tried etc. Since a few weeks I got the laptop, and was beginning to lose patience and hope of ever is it solved, however I just noticed something that only confused me even further!

I always use the connection to a network/network and sharing centre within Vista OS under my control, "connection status" of my networks etc. & it has never showed that the network which should give me ' isn't a 'g '! But earlier I found and used the Toshiba connectivity doctor, and I found it is sometimes shows the connection as a 'n', but still the Vista "connect to a network & Vista network and sharing Center" show the same broadcasting as a 'g '!

What should I take as the most accurate, I have little additional coverage when I used to have a portable 'g' and a router 'g', but perhaps remotely an additional 2 meters which, depending on how wonderfully better is the "n" does not seem to live up to the expectation!

I based my results of the exact coverage, physician connectivity Toshiba or Vista network sharing Center, they can be opened at the same time and showing the different results? I do not understand why they say different things? Crikey Ca? s driving me crazy!

    Hi friend

already tried INTEL drivers? Theres a special broadcast of the site just about your wireless card, so if you please, visit this site and download the drivers from here:

    http://support.Intel.com/support/wireless/WLAN/4965AGN/

Maybe it s just a driver related problem. And another suggestion: use a single program to connect to wireless networks. Maybe they cause some internal conflicts in the system which turns off the feature n.

Oh, and Don t forget to check the properties of the device manager/network on some technical parameters. Perhaps, it must be explicitly enabled, also on your router.

    Welcome them
